    I bought a 2018 SLT and I absolutely love it. Especially because it's NOT an Explorer or Cherokee. Which if you're in the market.... everybody and their brother has.

      The Ford Explorer, lol, and the Jeep Cherokee are junk vehicles, especially the Jeep. It's a damn Chrysler, and Chrysler uses the minimist of standard materials, and that's why they're constantly have low crash test ratings (200 anyone), and severe reliability issues. Women love them cause they're "soooo cute,' (whatever), and men buys them cause they're speed junkies, and that's all they only want, and that's always going to be that crowd they cater to's major downfall. To Chrysler, reliability isn't on their agenda, where's looks, and speed are their ultimate goal. Check their vehicles out if you think I'm making that up!

      TFLnow ... Ceneral Motor provides peace of mind with reliable vehicules and several hundreds of dealers all over North America. Since the 1980’s i have owned 3 Ventures, 3 Uplanders, 1 first generation Traverse and a new Buick Enclave. They were all bought as one year old vehicules with the LT2 or LTZ trim with optional air suspension, which provided smooth and long quiet rides. Now i drive a 2015 Chevy Suburban equipped with air suspension, the king of the road. GM is by far the best North American manufacturer. Sure Toyota is a bit more reliable than GM, but it does meet the vehicule size requirments that i need for my business.

      @ALEX-sh3tx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      videopyc actually that would be Ford the best selling brand in America for almost 10 years now. And the quality and reliability of Ford vehicles(Lincoln as well) is higher than any General Motors product PERIOD!!!

    • @videopyc
      @videopyc 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trenton_ A i had good luck with the 2 Ford Econoline Extended vans, but the Ford mid-size sedans and Escape 2016 were lemons. But the 1982 Lincoln Town Car and the 3 Mercury Marquis were very good besides the A/C units. The home town Ford dealer is old and the repair department is bad. So much that we need to drive an hour to get cars or truck fixed at another dealership. So this why we learn to like GM.

    • @ALEX-sh3tx
      @ALEX-sh3tx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      videopyc which midsize sedan cause the fusion has been one of Fords most reliable vehicles even consumer reports (that shit I don't read) says so I will agree the escape Is a lemon probably the ecosport too but Vehicles like the explorer, Expidetion,and f-series are reliable in my own experiences

    • @videopyc
      @videopyc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trenton_ A I noticed clunking noise from the rear suspension of a fully loeaded 2016 Escape... which i sold after 11 months because Ford could not do anything about it = improper design and selection of suspension parts... which they corrected on 2018 model. The Escale is not a brand new car. It is based on the Ford Europ Kangoo. But someone at Ford f...up the North American 2016 rear suspension version.

    We have a 2017 GMC Acadia Denali and recently got involved in an accident. A driver pulled out in front of us so we hit them at 50 mph. Not a single airbag deployed or worked. My wife was hurt badly and if the airbags would have worked, we wouldn’t be in this situation. GMC has serious safety problems and any trust we had in them is completely gone.

    Bought a new ‘18 SLE-2 (heated cloth seats are the bomb) AWD 3.6 liter V6 with $10K off sticker. Absolute best vehicle I’ve ever owned. 70K miles with only the “shift to park” repair needing fixed. It’ll get 29 mpg all day on interstate. Drives smooth and quiet like no other vehicle I’ve ever ridden in.

    I'm not generally a fan of GM products but came away very pleasantly surprised when I test drove one of these a couple months ago. The ride and seat comfort were excellent and, unlike the Explorer, it didn't feel quite so floaty and disconnected from the road (I love Ford's messaging seat option on the Limited and Platinum trims though). Also drove the Santa Fe at the same time. While I thought it had some strong suits and felt well assembled, the front seats were not comfortable IMO - a deal breaker for what will function as my next vacation/tow vehicle.
    If I were to buy today, I'd get an SLE-2 with the All Terrain package. GMC has resorted to GM's old cash on the hood pricing scheme so with incentives, the $42k sticker Acadia I was looking at in late May was being offered at $35k OTD which actually seemed pretty reasonable to me.
    BTW, I personally like the exterior design of the Acadia with the Explorer running a close second.
    The Pilot doesn't leave the starting gate for me as it looks too much like a minivan. Ditto the Mallfinder (the Nissan also being too much of a crapbox to consider).

      Hey have you encountered the shift-to-park problem or any other serious issues?

    • @buoyant69
      @buoyant69 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dexion845 Still have yet to replace the Freestyle (which has been indestructible and I still enjoy driving it). I’ve been trying to hold off for the new Bronco but Ford has been taking forever and a day to bring the thing to market so we’ll see. If I was forced to replace the Freestyle today, however, I’d still pull the trigger on a new Acadia. While I’m not a fan of the push button gear selector on the new ones, it should alleviate the shifter problems GM had with the ‘17-19s.

    Nice to see the boot in action, so many people point out the feature without showing the difference. Useful for me, because its always raining so 3/4 means the kids will let less in when they back their bags :)

    I bought my 2019 GMC SLT1 3 months ago. Options are 3.6 liter v6. white paint and towing package. $41,000 sticker. Best feature is no sunroof on the SLT1, but leather seats. I have had a convertible obsession for 40 years(6 of them). Now days when myself or wife look at convertible we open all windows and get over it. Back on track. Much better than our 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. Much better than our 1999 Dodge Durango. Better Than the Cadillac 2013 SRX(by a little bit). Likewise the GMC is slightly better than the 2007 Tahoe. Mileage , handling ,etic for a smaller package.

    I use to work for a Chevy dealership and our Used car manager would bid on these at auction and get a few in, they are really nice vehicles indeed. I think they are better than the segment leaders in sales, but people grow up buying Ford EXPLODERS and have that stuck in their heads just like with trucks. Do I like that they are smaller than a Traverse no, but I also LOVE the 2018 Traverse even more than the Acadia and the Highlanders, Pathfinders, Pilots, etc... I may come off bias, but I have seen the others as well and they don't have anything that makes them more special than the GM offerings. Nice albeit short review Mike. :)

    I have been seeing so many GM vehicles around lately. Looks like they have something really special I can just say with a 2016 Acadia we bought for 12k, we are very happy with the style and performance. My first SUV was a Nissan and that was a super mistake! Those vehicles were built like toys. With the radiator being so small, it had to give out. And my mom had a Nissan Murano that did the same thing and caused it to overheat. So in my family we've had five Nissan's. Three Muranos and two Quests. People just look up the life expectancy of Nissan's! I need not say more about those

    So, I hate pretty much everything gm has ever made. Having said that, when wifey was car shopping and she test drove one of these and I sat in the 2nd and 3rd rows and found it unbeatable. I had tons of space and maybe the best ride of anything out there. But.... She ended up buying a Mazda cx9. Spot on review. I could have gone cross country with that thing easy. The Mazda is sprung like a performance car for some reason. Breaks my back just driving a few miles in it.

    I love my 2017 Acadia Denali. Beautiful vehicle with a much smoother ride than my 2012 Acadia SLT. I've rode the back in the 2012 and it is like going off roading when you hit bumps. Lol I know, I know. I'm dramatic. Lol but I didn't notice how bumpy of a ride it was till I purchased the 2017 Acadia and rode the back seat on a road trip one time. It's smooth and soft riding. And it is so much quieter in the cabin when riding. I can actually hear my kids talking in the back seat. Lol the 2012 was so loud, you could barely hear anything.
    The only complaint I have about my 2017 is more of a little pet peeve more than a complaint i guess. I have the wireless charging pad but it will not work!!! Any phone that was made basically after 2017 wont be able to be charged on it. I have a Samsung Galaxy S24+....for one it doesn't fit properly on the pad.... for two, the wireless charging module is out of date and cant even charge it if it did fit. Do they have a newer module or cradle kit or something I could buy to upgrade it? I would love to have it fixed so I can do away with the charging wires all around my shifter.

    This is the Envoy V2....put I cannot buy another GM...their products just don't last the test of time....just week over a million 2015 GM vehicles are being recalled...all of the GM's I've owned including a 2004 Envoy with a 4.2 straight six needed major work soon after the warranty ended...no more..GM is what you rent but not own

    If this Acadia is anything like the GMC Acadia 2007-2016, it will be riddled with SERIOUS transmission, torque converter, AC, and other issues. Don't believe me? Look it up! (I own one!) - don't walk away, RUN! The 3.6L VVT engine is crap. Just look up other cars that use the same engine!

      The Nissan Murano is a 2 row Crossover that seats only 5. It does not compete with a 3 Row crossover.

    Get your facts straight! The Lambda platform is dead... this Acadia is on C1XX, shared with the Cadillac XT5 and upcoming Chevrolet Blazer; the Traverse and Buick Enclave are also on C1XX, but an extended length version of the platform. This body style was introduced for the 2017 model year.
    Also, you're really reaching if you have to complain about the spare tire and mode selector for the rear hatch.

  • @ttran8538

    48k, soft-touch plastic. Acadia built cheaply, lose its value in 3 years. The transmission always an issue.

    Fake review. Didn’t point out the 3.6 is a horrible old engine from 2004. It’s torqueless and weak for a car this size. Revving the shit out of it to get it moving isn’t fun.

      @MrBobbyBrown2006 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's unfortunate because I was actually being genuine. I've been watching your content across all your channels since the beginning of 2015, but I honestly do not watch any videos you post at 60fps... so the "I'm sorry I can't watch this" message was genuine.

    • @xQuantom
      @xQuantom 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why can't you watch 60 fps?

    • @MrBobbyBrown2006
      @MrBobbyBrown2006 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically I can, but it's hard on the eyes. It's an unnecessary unnatural frame rate that people think they need when they don't. It's a marketing ploy by camera manufacturers to the uneducated. Our eye cannot see anything above 24 fps, which is why film and most videos/movies/tv are at 24 or 30 fps. 60fps is jittery and distracting in most shots and can trigger headaches to people without them even realizing what caused it. For their type of content, it's unnecessary. Additionally, videos across their brand aren't even uniform. Some are 60fps and some are 30fps. They need to educate their videographers and video editors to at least be consistent with their settings. I might sound like I am being a bit harsh, and I'm really not trying to be rude, but I do speak the truth.

    • @xQuantom
      @xQuantom 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Change the quality to 480p and it will be 30 fps

      No, I have to disagree. I swore off GM 25 years ago, but the gal I’ve been dating has a 2012. I have to say it’s an excellent vehicle. It’s very comfortable. The third row seating is very nice and the cargo room with the seats down is cavernous. Toyota and Honda are more reliable, but not nearly as comfortable or nicely finished. I personally wouldn’t buy one, but I enjoy riding in it and driving it.
