Tal 3 Lol. When they started doing Tiffany stamps on new watches, they were probably marginally worth a bit more than regular models (5% to 10% at most. It since had become crazy these 3-5 years or so only, when it was caught inbetween with steel watch craziness, rising economy and growing new interests in watches due to internet. From my knowledge Ben is right on this, from someone works in watch industry.
Top tip when interviewing:
Let the person answer the 1st question, before you interrupt with a comment or 2nd question.
We (as the audience) couldn’t hear what the responses were 🤦🏼♂️

Watching this makes me appreciate Ben’s approach, mannerism, and cadence in his content when interviewing a guest. This dude just keeps interrupting him and tries to basically answer his own question.....
lord, i'm in minute 2 of this video and it's already annoying. I love both and I thought these comments exaggerate, but man wtf let ben finish half of his sentence
These guys are both great, but would have loved to hear Ben complete his thoughts.

I don't agree. Wei was very ill-behaved at Baselworld with the Oris CEO, see that video. But here his ego in in check and his input adds value. He is improving himself.

which box is that?
I had to look up the history of Goyard to get some kind of idea how an 8 slot watch box could cost over $3000. It's actually rather interesting how the company developed. It's out of my budget and not something I would be interested in if I could afford it but I did want a decent affordable watch box that wasn't generic feeling. There didn't seem to be much between the entry level end and very expensive luxury boxes. I got the best quality non premium non luxury box I could find on Amazon, took off the lid and fitted it into a hand carved wood box (not a watch box) from Peru which was about $200. A little handy work and it's a fun project that gets you something unique and pretty cool.

Mike C Seiko is king of the east when it comes to watches. Probably (in my opinion) one of the most important watch brands historically. I would be proud of your collection!

I believe Wei is very enthusiastic. I talk a lot and fast according to people; however, they find I am very eloquent. Before I had heard Wei even speaking French during an interview; the man is amazing. Sadly, trolls will always find an opportunity to bash successful smart men 🤔.
When you are the person interviewing someone else you should be a little less eager to tell your own stories and let others tell theirs. There are parts of the interview where Ben is going to say something, but gets interrupted in a way that totally stalls or derails where he was going. At 0:41 is an example. Even when the interviewer is listening he is constantly commenting "yes, yes, oh great, yes". Almost as if not hearing his own voice for over 10 seconds is unbearable to him.
I hate the interviewer jump in interrupting the person's train of thought! Just shut up and let Ben say whatever. By the way, Charlie Rose is one of those interviewers who did the same thing!

Ben is smart investor in watches and businessman above all things. He supposedly sold off most of his watches last year since the bubble could pop at any minute.He is down to 25 watches and wants to scale that back to 10.

i get that usually when interviewers interrupt its very annoying, but come on, its Wei Koh with Ben here, Wei clearly is a real fan of Ben and hes basically finishing Ben's sentences and making meaningful expansion with what Ben said, instead of cutting off Ben and going into a different direction. Factoring Wei himself being a serious collector(worthy of having had one of his very own episode of Talking Watch with Ben), the similar nature of their jobs and roles in the industry and the obvious passion and camaraderie, i found this interview to be very enjoyable.
