    I live in England and I've nearly had the phone for 2 years in November, I bought it from EE and had to order it from them , the battery is brilliant and I love the phone so I'll probably keep it for another few years as I'm not bothered about the expensive phones as this one suits my needs , I've subscribed to your channel because I like watching you explain all the different phones out there keep up the good work mate.

    we had LG G 6 was a great phone as this is A 42 ! I went with Spectrum because Sprint / Tmobile harassed me so much that I never wanted to hear that name again . I called Att and Pure talk and did not want anything to do with them. I spoke with people form spectrum and they said that their employees as far as they know all worked in the USA and I said at that point YES as VERY SICK OF BEING OUTSIDE OF THE USA SICK TO DEATH.
    Now every time i speak with someone it is the most PERFECT EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD SINCE 1999 with Sprint .
    I wanted to trade my phone in for a A 53 but they explained it would be very costly so here i am and i like the phone and when its time i ll get another and i will pay cash again.
    Thank you for people like you that explain things that i need to know. NV 4/12/22

    Thanks for the review!!! Got my A425G at Christmas. Fantastic phone ( traded in my Galaxy S8). The only problem I have is the fingerprint sensor on the bottom of the screen. No matter what finger I use, it doesn’t want to recognize it. However, my fingers are small and cold so that may have something to do with it. My phone only came with 4G ram, still no lag and very quick. Completely happy. My carrier is Xfinity and have excellent service with this phone. Just a steal at $399. Got a promo gift card so the phone ended up being free. Thanks again Kevin!!

    I got mine last year through my carrier. The a42 is not available in the local marketplace here in the philippines and is only a carrier exclusive. Besides the screen being 720p everythings else is good. So a good phone overall. I use it and my a71 as my daily drivers. Still waiting for the a73 announcement. It also got updated to OneUi 4.0 just last week

    Only complaint is no voice control over camera (e. G. "shoot" command) which I loved using on my galaxy S10. Any info why it was dropped or if it will be in an upgrade? Liked and agree with your review. A very dependable and useful phone!

    I bought this phone (US version) brand new a month ago,. May 2022. I paid $299 for it. Honestly I think it was a good purchase. The only thing I have complaint wise is the 720p screen, and the plastic back. I knew these downfalls upon purchase though. But, for 300 bucks it's a fast phone and battery life is insane, sometimes over a day with constant use. My last phone was a Note 9 contact phone. This is Walmart $55 a month.

    My only real complaint/advice is that a light drop (2ft. on to a vinyl mat) broke the glass on day 3 of ownership .first thing is a screen protector before using.
    they are very slippery.. not sure why they did this.. get a good thick rubbery case and a screen protector on day one!

    I just ordered the a42 5g from visible for $312 on sale. I'm upgrading from a pixel 2 the pixel 2 is great but my battery life so bad at this point I can hardly use my phone. I felt like most of the specs out outweigh the tad worse quality display. I will update this if it ends up being really good phone.
    Update: It is a really good phone so far the screen looks fine and the camera looks better than my Google pixel 2. The battery life is amazing with this phone even with gaming. The screen is a little lower quality but the massive size difference makes up for the lower resolution. In in my opinion All around This phone is a steal for $312.

      @@SimplyLesa I actually really like it so far the only con is the camera low light shots aren't amazing but dya time ones look great. Only con with visible in my opinion is deposition but it's the same if you had any Verizon prepaid. But I'm personally fine with some deposition for $25. The 720p screen I don't actually notice but that likely depends on the person. Battery life is great so far it's a million times better than my pixel 2. If you have specific questions about visible or the a42 5g. I can try and answer them the the best I can. With visible I actually don't have a one device limt and my hotspot I get 10mbps have no clue of if you get this aswell. From my testing the cellular modem in the a42 actually better the the pixel 6 if I ran a speed test with my mom's pixel 6 and my a42 my phone actually take bandwidth from her phone even though it's the same phone plan.

    Until June 2022 in the UK at least, I had never heard of the Samsung A42 5g!! That was until I saw it advertised by Carphone warehouse! Just makes choosing a phone much more difficult, especially as it wasn't a 2022 release. Stiil, my personal choice would be the A33 instead of the A52S, or A53 simply because there is so little to choose between them apart from price, and the cameras do perform almost the same. The Pixel 5a/6a would be ideal if I wanted a really great camera, but for that, I am happy with a Canon G5X Mark 2, Good that Samsung has so many affordable phones with IPS and OIS. They do promote their flagship phones-but many people would be happier with one of their more modest phones!

    • @jmd9547
      @jmd9547 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recommend you get the a52s bcuz it's way better than the a33 and a53.

  • @curiousone6129
    @curiousone6129 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like it very much! Has better battery life than a52 5G and most features are same. Nothing I miss. Also important to me is that my email app Outlook comes preloaded and it has wireless charging. Lower pixels is not perceptible to me as I'm not a professional photographer. It allowed me to add a mini micro SD card to increase my storage capacity. Only criticisms are, I don't like the narrow format and paid too much buying from Samsung directly . Otherwise I really love it.

      I was thinking of buying this phone or other devices when I saw reviews, but they said it wasn't worth it or some features were missing, so I chose to buy another device, the Huawei P40 Lite! For just only about $250, I'm getting a couple of features that certain flagship phones and midranges couldn't receive at the time; A headphone jack and Nano Memory support (it's the same thing as SD card expansion, but it's a different shape like a SIM card). It also had a nice powerful processor of Kirin 810, which is capable of playing certain heavy games and offering nice fast and smooth performance no matter what you're doing! 😁👌🏾

    When doing an inatall or update from Play Store, it just keeps saying "pending" and never installs. All my other devices load the same app at the same time in less than 5 minutes. But this not smart A42 5G hasn't even started after 2 days. Then, when I restart the phone, all the installs end. I've had cell phones since 1980. However, in 1980 they were called transportable. And I have only had two phones that I absolutely hated: this being one. I will never buy a Galaxy Samsung again!

Without me not having a phone amuse at time and yes I did check and see if the phone has been opened it wasn't so it's not been tampered with now how do I get this fixed or my money back or a new phone could you explain to me how I would go about doing this please

    Is this worth the extra cost over the A32 5G? Obviously, it's better, but is it significantly better?

    • @mjmusictest2434
      @mjmusictest2434 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not exactly, but it's just a couple of things it differs from the A32, the AMOLED panel and screen size. That's it LOL! But overall, I would choose the A32 to be safe from any screen burns that the A42 may experience at a later time. But if I wanted a larger screen experience, then I wouldn't mind having the A42 for media consumption or browsing. But that's my personal preference, I'll still suggest the A32 just in case. 😉😅👌🏾

      @Raymond Ford I agree. Nothing wrong with low budget phones but they are better phones than this A42 5G for around the same price or a little bit more. I use to have the Stylo 5 ever sense it came out. I saved up and payed cash for my new Galaxy S21 Ultra and man it is a major.. major difference in performance, battery life, quality and specs.

    Got this phone for a cheap work phone thinking I wouldn't care as much if anything happened to it versus my iPhone 13. This phone is garbage. It broke falling from my pocket while kneeling and landing on a soft plastic dock. I replaced the screen as it does have my work contacts in it. Screen broke again and I ignored it till it decided to completely die. Replaced it again. Not even 3 weeks later and no damage to the screen, phone is bricked. Internals are poor, heat is an issue, and the 5g can't be turned off, so if your phone connects to a 5g tower that's not great, you lose connection.
    All around I've hated this thing from day one and I have a a51 that has done far better and is constantly getting Sim swapped. I'm probably just going to cut my losses on this trash
