The screen compromise is because (at the time) they were looking at a price point. So they sacrificed the screen for a better battery. Also, in the US versions they only have 3 cameras and the flash takes up the 4th camera location. They were trying to fill a specific niche in the market. They just weren't thinking that people would complain about the screen. Every TH-cam video on the internet about this phone complains about the screen.

Very good battery performance for this phone. The ultra wide camera is not good though. The samsung a52 5g should be good as its using the same chipset with SD750. A52 5G has IP 67 though and 12 megapixel ultra wide with 4500mah battery
Nung una, mejo nagsisi ako to buy this phone because of the 780 res. But habol ko naman is 5g and ito palang avail sa globe plan. When I tried to play yt video beside the A72 at 1080 p and full brightness, wala nmng malaking pinagka.iba. Yung a72, mas bluish lang ang sky and sa dark scenes mejo makita yung separation ng dark tones pero di talaga ganun ka.obvious if hindi mo iisipin ang 780. Anyway kaya ako ngsisi kc malakas pala makaubos ng data ang 5g. Pero umaabot ng 690Mb data signal which is useful for rush uploads and ang fb mssngr call sobrang linaw. Performance: mabilis naman kc di masyado demanding ang display. Battery: will last me 1 and half days pero mabilis naman mgcharge from 10% Overall: better to wait to buy other 5g phones with higher screen res if mahilig manu.od ng videos sa phone, add on lng ng konting thousand :)
Had Order the A42 5g but Thx for this video I canceled the order cuz 720p youtube is deal breaker Will wait for Pixel 6 ... my 2017 LG G6+ will continue on ... at least I can playback 4k 60 on youtube ...

A 5G phone really helps i have the same phone 5G and i can watch full quality vids all day , i play games max quality no problems too and barely go under 50% battery
Actually I want to get either this A42 5g or A32 5g but too big and some more A52 5g and A72 5g soon will be out and have water resistant both also can support 1TB micro sd card for the A72 5g is 5000 batt life this only let me want it only is the price....

Dahil kakabili ko lng kazi ng samsung a42 5g eh tapos pang 3days kona siyang ginagamit ngayon at may mga nahhalata dn akong defect or issue dito sa bagong device ko, lalo na tong battery niya sabi daw pag 5k mah hanggang 2days ito but based on my experience lalo na ginamit ko siya one time sa food panda wholeday, yung natira cgurung battery niya ay 43% yata,so yun parang may nahalata ako kZi last na ginagamit ko yung realme c2 parang kunti lng yung difference niya kung gagamitin kl yung c2 ko yung matitirang battery niya for the whole day is 30% so parangbang liit ng difference sa 4kmah sa 5kmah, so ano bato idol? At ano ba better kong gawin dito,
I make quite a few TikToks and find the Samsung phone I use is terrible unless the light is good. This is even with using a ring light. The videos are fine if not on the app. I get flashing and not clear unless up close. I was due an upgrade last year but not got around to it but really need to change my phone. I am wondering if the video on the A42 will work well on the app. Not sure if you can answer this question but if you could would be great. Thank you
It’s not actually a problem with the cam of the phone, rather the optimization of the Tiktok app in Android when you’re directly taking a video with the Tiktok app.
@@cocomarTech Yes I read this. I have just upgraded to the Galaxy S20 FE it is £8 more than the A42 but has 32 pixels where as the A42 is 20 my old one is just 16. I also read the S20 is one of the best Androids for TikTok so fingers crossed! Thank you so much for your quick reply.
Worst phone camera in all the 20 phones I have ever had. Keeps talking when I am texting..annoying. camera sucks, why can't I get instant shots goes 1 2 3 maybe snap. I am in hospital since Aug 13, 2021 and one annoying thing after another. Voice mail is crap. Yes I am very frustrated. Best phones I have had are the LG. Had simple camera. I have only had this phone less than a month.
If you want a better display and/or if you want to save money, go with A51. If you need 5G or you prefer a better battery performance and a faster phone, go with A42 5G 🙂

I'm currently using an LG Aristo 2 and I'm thinking about upgrading to this phone. It looks solid overall.
