Also the A71 5G has a 765G processor, not a 730 as I said in the video, but the performance of the A42's 750G is still on par with it in initial testing. Thanks for watching!
If you were in the market for a new phone which would you buy? The A42 is the more expensive yes? But if the A71 has a nicer clearer screen for reading text and similar performance I'm tor between the two. I thought a 1080 screen would be the min nowadays. But only 720 on the A42 seems bad. THoughts anyone?

The Chinese writing on the phone wrapping says: U Extreme Full Screen, Four Main Lenses, and Screen Fingerprint Recognition. Hope this helps ;)

@@LaidBackLora low pixel per inch rate. Good screens start from 350-400 ppi, A42 has just a bit more than half of it.

1:48 Those are Chinese characters. Since it's written in Traditional Chinese, it's very likely that your specific model was intended for the Taiwanese market.
This language is on chinese simplified :

@@medusesquash7957 no. It’s Traditional Chinese. I’m Taiwanese I can confirm. This is either from Taiwan or Hong Kong. Most likely Taiwan.

The A71 5G comes with a Snapdragon 765 5G right? The Snapdragon 730 is for the regular A71

That great battery life is due to the 720p display. It sucks when you have to decide between the 2.
I honestly can't tell the difference between 720p to 1080p.
@@NoHandle44 I can definitely tell the difference between 720p and 1080p. And Quad HD is definitely more noticeable compared to 720p.
What about the camera? Does it take HD photos and 1780p video? Even though screen is only 780p.
How does the voice sound like when talking to people over the phone? It is clear? Any issues?

There is one thing that extremely impressed me about your phone. IT WAS YOUR BIBLE APP, AWESOME. I have a LGG7 that is giving me problems but was an AWESOME phone when I got it used (almost new). I compared it side by side and it was not as good as the LGG7. Verizon can upgrade me to the S21 with a trade in but my LG is damaged and they will not take it. The A42 is not dust or water resistant as the LG is waterproof.

Does anyone know if you're compelled to use the fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone. I'd prefer pin code or something else like this as I'm not cool with using biometrics.
I have a device with an in-display fingerprint reader (not an A42 tho) and I'm totally cool with using it, along with the facial recognition my device has. I can't say how well biometrics will work specifically on the A42, but I quickly got used to using a fingerprint sensor, and I much prefer it over using a pin code.

Please do a samsung galaxy a42 5g vs samsung galaxy a71 5g i really wanna know your opinion. cause i wanna buy a knew samsung phone but i dont know what to pick between a42 or a71.
I had the a51 it was okay the the ram wasn't strong enough for me so I had to upgrade two more gigs of RAM
I would have gotten the phone but that 720p resolution and the thick bezels around the screen was what let it down
Yes, sadly. Samsung could've remove a camera len for a 1080p screen.

I just got my Samsung galaxy A42 about a week in a half ago and love it the battery is amazing on it and listening to music is amazing as well I play games as well but I try not be on the.screen to much so it doesn't bothers my eyes other wise I am really happy with my purchase
