Note: When loading hakchi CE to the Snes Mini, connect the mini first and then hold reset. Otherwise it'll give you a 'rebooting is taking too long' message. The 'hold reset and then connect' is for the Sega Genesis Mini. 👍

Emulation for NES and SNES has been brilliant as well so trust "Daddy" Nintendo to show us how emulation is really done, "Mama" Sega games play well as well so they must of known what was possible and probably optimized it to do so covertly stealing the future sales for the Megadrive classic

Roughly how many additional snes games can you fit on the console given the storage isn't exactly massive?
I think I put around 80 on mine. Also, keep in mind you don't want to totally max out storage space because you need to leave some room for saving in game progress.

Hakchi did not have the the Costum games when I was running the app.. So where do i find the Costum games so I can install games?

Great that thanks. I didn’t want to do the Alphabetised menu, I kept it at 30 games so they’d all be on the Home Screen but the new ones wouldn’t show so had to do it

I don't know if you'll see this and maybe you've already figured it out yourself but I'll still answer your question for you. PC literally just stands for Personal Computer. So basically any laptop should work a long as it has USB slots. Witch almost all laptops will have. And it of course needs to have the ability to view files. I would say anything that is t a Chromebook should work.

I had my system hacked and working prior and this new build completely messed up my system. It will boot a game then keep playing the menu music than the screen will start fluttering back and fourth. I literally just wanted to add ghoul patrol to my previous build. May just have to retire this device and move on :(

Hi Blaine, nice video tutorial. You state the internal storage can hold several hundred roms. Does it show you or tell you if you are going to exceed the storage space while adding the roms before synchronizing? I want to add the entire SNES PAL region roms 500-600games. Will be getting the SNES mini in a few days

Actraiser 2 doesnt work. I think you're missing info on how to get those games that complain aboput the default emulator to work.

Hey Blaine! I'm absolutely loving your content as always. My SNES mini is hacked and ready to go :) Quick question: I ran into an issue with Secret of Evermore. It freezes shortly after the intro section. Have you seen this happen with this or any other games? If there's no easy solution, I'll have to keep playing it on RetroArch on my PS3 (but it feels "wrong" though LOL)
If you're running into compatibility issues, please install RetroArch onto the mini using the Hakchi add on modules. It will still use the SNES mini interface but the rom will be running in SNES9X .

You need backup file reset factory settings

Yes that is possible, but surely it would be easier just to have a drive for each system? Let me know how it goes and don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it.
You can use 1 USB for nes, snes, and Sega. I have the 16 gb usb.

Need guidance, this does work great how ever is it normal when selecting a letter in the Snes menu some letter have two to three more folding
Example: in the C folder there two more folders labeled cac-cho and cho-cyb. I may or may not have all the games.

hey blaine i have my snes mini with an older version of hackchi . . but my original snes mini bios was on another hard disk that got corrupted so i lost that . is it advisable to upgrade or can i upgrade to the latest version ? thanks for the great tutorials btw!!
I'd give it a shot. The newest version of Hakchi backs up the Kernel in your SNES classic's system memory. Follow the instructions in this video and you should do well.

It will work for the European version, you just need to select "Super NES (Europe)" from the dropdown. Idk about the second part though

Every time I try hooking up the mini while holding reset, it says error can't open program everytime. Does anybody know how to get past the detecting the mini error?

I don’t know what it is but we can’t control the characters very well with the snes classic mini vs the original. My daughter and I used to play super Mario world over and over again but can barely get through the first level in the classic mini version. And with mario kart we’re all over the course. The controllers or timing are just off. It was a waste of money.

PC literally just stands for personal computer. So pretty much any laptop that allows you to download files will work.

@@lasergame98 I do, I cannot dload the hakchi and get it to work. I'm doing so on a mac. I used OneZip 3rd party app to extract the file but nothing I open brings me to where this gentleman's video is indicating. I'll be honest I don't know much about file extraction either.

Glad it worked for you! I know how low level this is, but what kind of power brick are you using when plugged into the wall? I can't remember for sure, but I think a 5V 1A brick might be needed, and not all bricks are created equal. Check the voltage and amperage on the brick you're using to make sure it supports the mini's requirements.

Hi, I'm having trouble adding new NES games to the NES Mini. When I added the game "Panic Dizzy NES" to hakchi2-ce-3.9.3 - the following message appeared: "Uses mapper #71 but this mapper is not supported by the NES Mini and the game will probably not start with the default emulatior. (. ..)". Then I noticed that the game freezes during the rogriffin. How to fix this problem?

Bro, you probably have a fake Snes classic. Check the serial number on the box or the console if it starts with CU it is fake, it should start with SU
@@Nihitplayz mine starts with S, but the S and all the other letters are bolder than the U. Are they all like that or has mine been toyed with? I got it 2nd hand so I'm not sure.
This video isn't as accurate. First, you need to power on the console then hold the reset button.

Unfortunately there isn't. It requires a mod chip to do that.
