I have my Wii chocked full of awesomeness. It has an NES channel with the full library plus hacks, SNES channel with the full library plua hacks, the VBA channel with full libraries and homebrews for the Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance, Not64 with a great selection of Nintendo 64 games that run great on the Wii, the Sega Channel which has the SG-1000 full library, Sega Mastersystem full library, Sega Megadrive/Genesis full library, Sega Game gear full library, Atari 2600 channel with the full library, Atari 7800 channel with full library, an Atari 800/5200 channel (this one baffles me cant get the games to load???), USBloaderGX with tons of Wii and Wiiware games and Gamecube Games. Literally thousands of amazing games on the little old Wii. I just have a 32gb sd card and a 1TB hard drive attached and the Wiimote, Wii Classic Pro controller and a Gamecube wavebird and receiver. Every sytem can be played with just these peripherals. Its an amazing value for a $30 Wii, and $75 of memory card/hard drive and some controllers. Well under $150 for countless hours of gaming. I still play Mariokart Wii online with Ctgpr. Mind blowing!!

can you tell me where you can get the iso file of gamecube games and wii? I only know how to put gamecube game, and i don't know how to put wii games. How to download it and play it to my wii?

@jaccetaylor3672 I have a 1tb hard drive for my Wii and Gc games and just a 32gb SD card in the Wii for everything else, so far Ive not had any storage issue but the old stuff like Atari even up through the 16bit conoles are very small by todays measure.
@laurencemiel2882 I have the physical copies and ripped them from the Wii to the hard drive. Once you have it modded you can find the software to do the same. Im sure there are "other ways" to get those games, but I dont want the "Nintencops" after me. Google is your friend.
11:03 The A, Y, and Start commands are meant for Gamecube controllers, while +, -, and Home are for the Wiimotes!
This was fantastic but is there an update/extended version of this video coming that teaches us to do all of the things we skipped? I don't know how to safely install themes for example. I'd like a followup guide of everything we can do (and how). Thank you!
At 10:00 BootMii shows a previoua screen first not shown here, with options to boot to Wii, HBC, SD or access settings. You need to access that settings, cog ⚙️ icon on using Power button on console to navigate to that.... And then you'll see the icons shown in the video here, to dump to SD

@oscarapple1365 I had same issue, it's the reset button! It previously restarted my console so didn't want to press it again but does work to select the cogs.

Freakin' awesome. I've been doing this all the manual way for years but this looks like it'll save some time, check my work, AND offer new options for me! I've got to get two of them modded up for friends and family this Christmas and I'm going to try this method this time.

@@abdulwahabvanreenen723 It did on 3 out of 4. One of the mods failed in some insidious way and I spent a dozen hours trying to figure out why it wasn't working the way that it should. Certain games would freeze during loading screens and I trouble shot every angle I could think of. I tried a couple different methods of remoding the console as well and the issue persisted so it may very well have just been an issue with the Wii. Either way, this method worked well and it's pretty streamlined as well as not needing a Wi-Fi connection for the Wii so I may continue to mod with mod mii in the future.

Watched many of your videos and found them to be very informative. Love the Wii and softmodded many of them connecting the Wii with a USB network device and use the letter bomb.
One thing that I seen becoming very popular is getting the new $20 Walmart onn Android box and install Kodi for movies and retroarch for gaming. Could you do a full tutorial on that soon?
make sure the date and time are correct on your Wii console for letterbomb to work

FYI under the most current version of BootMii, the Power/Reset buttons are reversed from what is described in the video.

@@nickwoodruff7544 same, but now when I try to go back to the sd card to start again, my wii turns off and I can't get it to turn back on without cutting the power.
Yeah and the backup menu doesn't appear right away I kept restarting the wll
@@michaelbini1103 Can confirm. The Power/Reset buttons are reversed. Also like Michael said, it's not on the backup menu. Scroll over to cogs to do the backup.

Very thorough and sussinct explanation of everything. I was/am curious if the USB Loader [skipped here] was the same as the USB Loader GX you showed in the recommended video. For the sake of slightly streamlining the process.

"BootMii is controlled using the Start and Reset buttons on the face of the Nintendo Wii" actually means BootMii is controlled using the POWER and Reset buttons on the face of the Wii. You navigate by pressing Power and the Reset button is the ENTER button
Also, I had to change the settings on my Wii to the current date to get the letterbomb to appear after inserting the SD card

This was the only tutorial that I was able to use. Thank you. My Wii remote would reset when I would try to back up, not sure why maybe because I’m using a factory reset Wii with a brand new 32gb SD card
This is what mine is doing. Just keeps disconnecting after bootmii . How have you got it working?
BootMii isn’t controlled with a Wii remote. You control it from the actual front of the Wii itself. You use the power button to switch between options, and the reset button to select them.
@@fletchforever82 I just seen your comment, just like the dude that replied after you it’s suppose to turn the remote off then you’ll just use the power button and reset button.

And how did you do it? Because when I finally got it to show up in calendar and clicked on it nothing happened. It just re booted the wii. Re formatted and re tried steps again about 10xs with no luck. Not even showing in calendar
Thanks so much for your videos really helped me on the 3DS. By the way, I have a modded Wii for about a year and the other day while playing DDR with the dance mat, my wiimote disconnected amd I have not been able to get it to sync ever since. The GameCube ports on the side also are not working now. The Wii still boots up, but cannot navigate anything since I can't connect a controller. Is there any solution for me or is this considered bricked?

9:58 You can also plug in a gamecube controller and use that instead of using the face buttons 🙂
if you ever have the option of installing BootMii as boot2, choose this option over installing BootMii as IOS. Older Wiis should be able to do this because Nintendo's changes to boot2 can't patch it
Nice to know that LEGO Indiana Jones hack is still a thing! I'll definitely need to update my Wii as I exploited it many years ago. I wonder if I can use my WBFS disk that I put all my games on, or if I need to re-copy them...

I got modded green Wii, 2 modded white Wiis, a modded white Wii U and a modded red and black modded Wii mini very nice that modmii wizard, that’s very cool and different from when I did it.
I jailbroke my Nintendo Wii with the HackMii mod. I think that's the one where you put the IP address. I also used a 2GB SD card because I didn't know that the Wii supports at least 32GB SD cards after some updates.

I had the same problem and found out I formatted to exFat instead of FAT32
I had mine on fat32 but still shows the same nothing different

Change the calendar on the Wii to your current date of today & it should pop up

its seems that you have to use a specific sdcard, 2gb, formatted to fat32, and it cannot be SDHC, SDXC, or SDUC type, only plain old sdcards work
it works for me with wii-brand sdcard, 2gb
halfway in the middle of doing this, got to the part where you have to copy files over to the sd. opened the sd compartment of my wii and.... nothing in there. turns out my wii didn't have an sd card, so maybe another time, lol. otherwise, amazing tutorial. very clear and concise.

I'm doing this now and had to set through 2 backups cause the instructions said "hit reset 3 times" and as soon as I hit reset once it started the backup again 😅
Hey big step that most people dont think about : your date and time need to be set properly for letterbomb to work.
It's rare that it happens but it did to me once and it was a pain to figure out.

Hi. I have a problem with loading Gamecube games. I tried one of the backups I used for testing which is Soulcalibur 2( PAL version). When I load it through Nintendont, it does the load process and it switchs my Wii off. I don't have this problem with my Wii games. Did anyone have a similar problem that I had? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Can I also use this on a already modded Wii, mine was already modded when I bought it but it is only 4.1u and when I open Nintendont it says ios58 is not found. Priiloader and bootmii can't be access because it says I have missing file.

I hacked my Wii the first year a hack was available, I chipped the console first but a guy I worked with had ways to get information and software extremely early via groups online.
The hacks are easier and more customized these days.

lol lego batman still an option, that is how i used to do it back in the day, but you have to play the game for at least 30 minutes i think before you can get the save exploit to work.

This worked great for me with the SD card, but can this also work with just the USB drive?
I can see the Letterbomb, but when I interact with it the screen goes black for a little bit and then takes me to the main menu? Any idea as to why? I made sure the card was formatted correctly and reinstalled the ModMii

Just do it again. Mine did the same thing. But after turning it on and off maybe three times it worked.

THE WHOLE PROBLEM WAS THAT MY SD CARD WAS LOCKED. i thought the letterbomb wont show up when the sd card is physically locked, but actually it does, but wont enter the further files. so make sure the sd card is physically unlocked on the side
When I click modmii skin it says the shortcut refers to has been changed or moved what do I do?
I accidentally pressed reset at 10:00 and now there’s just a black screen and the blue light in the disk tray is blinking 😬

I tried 2 times but at the end it says 4 of 50 files are invalid/missing. There is a problem with downloading some of the required patches while creating the SD card.
