Dairy sweetened condensed milk is used in fudge, pecan pie, pumpkin pie & other desserts. So vegan condensed milk can be used in the same way. Nice job!
Hi. Can I ask please if you made this recipe as stated, I actually used 150gr of sugar and not the 250 gr as stated…..and it’s far too sweet. I’m still learning with cashew nut, and no matter how long i have the nuts in the machine the nut residue is always there, can’t seem to get it smooth, and mine looks beige where the recipes on here look white, like Chef Jana. Thanks a lot. Ann.
@@AnnHoyle-h1f I have not made this recipe. If U have not been soaking the cashews overnight, try that bc your blender/ or food processor may not be strong enough. The cashews will get quite soft after overnight soaking.
A must try. The little cans of vegan condensed are a little pricey, so this will be great. I will definitely use this for a vietnamese coffee at a little restaurant I go to in my neighborhood. They're not vegan, but always prepare meals for me that are. I like to share the condense with them and they really enjoy it. Thanks Chef you're awesome.
OH MY! You have given me the best idea! I have 3 lbs of raw unsalted cashews for months now. I am going to make a huge batch of this recipe and use my ice molds to freeze than store in a freezer bag to have as I need! Thank you!
Oooh, perfect for Thai iced tea, which is the first thing I'm going to use it for, but then I'll try it in your flan recipe! Thanks so much for posting, Chef Jana : )
I’m going to make coffee creamer. You use condensed sweetened milk and mix with plant milk, equil parts. Shake and there is your coffee mate. Sort of what you did but adding equal part to milk. Oh and adding vanilla as well. I was making my coffee mate/creamer and buying the canned sweetened condensed milk but it wasn’t vegan. Thanks to you, I can now make it.
I often make cashew cream with just soaked cashews and water. I use little sugar as I follow a SOS free diet for my health and this cashew cream adds to fruit compote - currently I am eating a lot of apricots because they are in session now in Germany.
You’re amazing! Thank you for not only bringing this to us in English, but being secure enough in who you are to shout out the channel the recipe came from for others. Solid!!
i tried powdered soy milk for sweetened condensed milk and ended up making marshmallow fluff instead!! so i tried again with my usual soy milk and a typical sweetened condensed milk recipe...and YUM!!!! the caramel notes add such lovely complexity! i too put it in my coffee...a little goes a long way...and i made fudge truffles with the rest. YUM!!!!!!!
I love you! Your recipes are easy to follow, simple ingredients, yet turn out so great. Thank you for the content! I've been missing recipes with sweetened condensed milk but I will make this and try it out! All the best! Xoxo
I will have to try this and then use it to make cookies that call for condensed milk in their recipe :) the only negative side to this is that cashew nuts are very expensive at least over here in France, so it''s something to only make once in a while haha
i used coconut condensed milk to make vegan beignets (donuts) New Orleans style, now instead of buying it at 5$ a small can i can make it myself, ty so much Jana....
Oh I love beignets! And I LOVE New Orleans! The language is Portuguese and I knew that most people wouldn’t understand what they are saying but I gad to credit her 😍 have you seen my coconut condensed milk? It’s my favorite! Much love! ❤️
A tablespoon of Vanilla Extract can prob add a good taste to this without adding much sugar. For a caramel texture though, you can probably use monk fruit allulose which can have similar properties to sugar but with no sugar.
Does it have to be cashews? Not a fan of this nut. Coconute powder. I will find that in your collection. I was going to ask can you use coconut milk. I love that! 😊Thank you! I am not vegan but I do have to make things I love in a healthy way now! Thank you! ❤
I don't know what is crystal sugar. Someone could tell me in spanish? Maybe it is normal white sugar or it is a kind of sweetness similar to eritritol? Thanks!
Wow o wow what? Well this is real milk and i think this one is good for my two boys but one thing is the white sugar and any alternative sounds organic? Anyway thank you so much for the new idea my lovely chef jana
That’s a great question actually! I don’t see why not… try and make a very small batch to see if it actually works and I will do the same, then we exchange experiences here 😉

John Warner .. yes, the sugar was my concern as well

I think condensed milk is often very very sweet - I haven't had it since I had tinned fruit and condensed milk as a child.
Sounds wonderful! I’m going to keep this handy for when it’s time to do my holiday baking!
Thank you for this recipe. Definitely will try it.
!!!! I'm gonna make coquito with this. And also I think I just want it for my coffee.

Genius as always
Super useful! I wonder if I’m audacious enough to attempt a vegan Tres Leches cake..?
OMG I have to try this
This looks delicious! I make something similar to this, but next time I'm going to try your recipe 😍
What do you think about monkfruit powder as a sugar substitute?
Chefe Jana é o melhor!!
Nice recipe
Wow, vegan magic bars with homemade sweetened condensed milk would be yummy!

I looooooove this. My sister is a condensed milk addict and been wanting to find a vegan way to make her favorite drinks. Thank you Jana!!!

Oh, there are several refrigerator pie recipes I could make with this (especially lemon icebox pie and postre de limon)
Oh yes!
Love this!!!!
Thanks for the recipe, Can we try organic cane sugar following the same recipe?
This is amazing!! How about a Tres Leches cake??!!
I imagine this would make great caramel? Been looking to make a decent caramel....unless it burns, but i'm going to try it anyway.
Oh, this is nice seriously but what can we add to put it on a shelf at least 3 months
please give measurements
How do I make this unsweetened but vegan

I have a nut allergy can I use something else
Brigadeirooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!😋
Piña Colada, I,ll go to use it.
Oiohhhh!!!! Excellent idea! 💛 🍍 🎉
I want to do away with sugar. What can I replace?
Hi chef Jana, need advise if we can make this recipe using monkfruit I am diabetic🙏
I don't know what is crystal sugar. Someone could tell me in spanish? Maybe it is normal white sugar or it is a kind of sweetness similar to eritritol? Thanks!
Hi! Which condensed milk do YOU prefer? Coconut or cashew?
Key lime pie and lemon icebox pie? 🤤

Could almond flour be used instead of cashews as a 1:1 ratio?
Can i use it for my teas? Will it Curdle????? (If i add it in my hot black tea)
Can I use coconut sugar? Thanks for the recipe!
Yes you can! ❤️
I could imagine that haselnut can be interesting in taste.
Yes!!! 😻
Can almonds be used instead of cashews?
Can you make vegan icecream with this?
please givemeasurement
Do I have to be add that much sugar or can I reduce the amount?
I haven’t tried this, but why not use monkfruit powder? I think it’s a one to one ratio with sugar. Also, I think it has zero calories.
You can find coconut milk powder at Indian grocery’s stores
Can i use any other nut for substitute of cashews please can't have them
I have another recipe for condensed milk that uses vegan powder milk 😀 ❤️
Hmmm I wonder what would happen if you added Cream of Tartar instead of or in combination with the baking soda?
That is a great question my darling! 👏👏👏
@@ChefJana Would you know the answer? I don't ..
I do not but you got me wondering here. 😉
What do you suggest as a substitute for those of us who must avoid white processed sugar due to health reasons.
Id try monk fruit allulose. Not sure itll work but it has similar properties to sugar without containing sugar.

This makes for a defect dulce de leche as well 😘❤️
Can you make brigadeiro?
Claro!!!! ❤️
What kind of vegan sugar was used to prepare this item?
Ice cream! Would make ice cream.
Can i make this using monk fruit sweetner? Or coconut sugar? Trying to avoid sugar.
