Aussie 7 Day: Wet weather and westerlies to replace high pressure

  • Rain and showers are back in the forecast for very dry parts of Australia - especially one week from now as we head towards June.
    In today’s Australia’s weather video we take a closer look at where the high pressure belt is moving to and what that means for those in south-eastern Australia.
    Not everyone will get the rain relief they so desperately need - but the wetter change will be welcome by many. It’s not a major shift back to wet weather, but it is great to see the stubborn high pressure zones of May finally break off as we head into early June,
    We have your 7 day rainfall forecast and The Place of the Day (due to the cool geographical shapes and shadows at sunrise) is The Simpson Dessert in NT, SA and QLD.

    It makes me laugh that a NZ weather channel does the best weather reporting in Australia. Thank you your reporting is awesome 👍

      That's such a great comment, thank you :) To be fair NZ is either Aussie's eastern island, or Australia is NZ's western island :) You say FEESH and CHEEPS and we say FUSH and CHUPS. Can't think what else is really all that different :)

      I subscribed to this channel during one of the Cyclone watches when the BOM had their Radars shut down and gave no worthwhile information. I suggest the Federal Government transfer the funding they are wasting on BOM.who fail year after year.
      Thanks and thanks.

    Thank you once again! It sounds like the central wheatbelt will miss out as usual, it's time to get out there and do a _rain dance._ The BOM can't compare with your forecasts, the only thing they offer is a doppler map that's mostly accurate when there is a system moving across. But even that is easier to read thanks to you Phillip! Cheers from WA... Pam Tom's wife

    The farmers etc in Tasmania may not have appreciated the lack of rain, however the tourist side of Tassie loved it as they had a good crowd of tourists vanning their way around the countryside over the past few months as I was following some of them via their podcasts.
    I for one am not looking forward to the change in the weather pattern as it will bring the cold air & I am not a fan of the winter months, although part of my family can't wait!! So I am looking forward to seeing the wind come from the north!! 😂

    • @WeatherWatchTV
      @WeatherWatchTV  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Love it - thanks! The weather scales always need to be balanced - farmer/grower/small businesses vs towny/city/tourism. We can still find loads of silver linings for Tasmania tourism. I'm keen to visit some day regardless of the weather :) Phil D
