I was seriously thinking that this is it, Im getting old, so glad Im not alone! I think nearly all the items are fundamentally fugly, wouldnt take them even for free (nevermind paying those freepeople-prices). But what an awesome trend to diy, you can find ill-fitting yesteryears clothing from thriftstores easily.
Becky, stop apologising. You nailed the looks. Getting the look doesn't mean copying. Who copies a whole outfit? And buys every item? Great video. Was hoping the other day for something like that. 👍 Edit : that's on me ...sorry girls..its in your name 😂😂😂
Check out The DIY Designer’s video on how to make DIY wrap pants! They’re probably not exactly the same, but I immediately thought of those pants when I saw Kelsey’s.
You guys should do a DIY-ing/thrifting Pinterest room inspo pics video! I love pinning photos of beautiful rooms but don’t have the money for all of the crazy expensive decor they use!
I love watching thrift store look steals! They are so inspiring for those of us on a budget, or who don't want to spend stupid amounts of money clothes you'll only wear once or for a season..
I love the parts where you DIY (/edit and create something) for the look! The exact outfit doesn't have to match bc tbh it'll never be exact unless it's the exact pieces, so seeing the style being created is really cool. Great job guys :)
You all KILLED this!! So happy you guys (whether intentionally or not) are shaming ridiculously overpriced brands whose clothes are nothing special! And I applaud you Kelsey for your goal of not buying anything new all year! Upcycling is definitely the way to go.
Uh. Washing machine. I'm just full of ideas. Or cleaning them with soapy water. I know, I know, genius. New clothes should be washed more urgently though. The chemicals used to keep those bug free (and sometimes the dyes alone) are not great for your health.
@@AnnekeOosterink purses, hats and shoes can be difficult to machine wash due to their special fabrics, most times you end up ruining the shape or fabric. The OP is probably asking to see how they spot clean, or hand wash without a machine.
Love your guy's sustainable/eco-friendly type videos! Fast fashion is such a problem and I love how frequently you thrift. Would also love to see some more of the "things we're no longer buying" type videos:)
turning lulus into biker shorts is GENIUS! I have a pair in my closet that are just a super outdated leg but I haven't thrown out because they are so expensive! Definitely gonna crop em
Good job. I tend to do the same thing. Find an outfit I like, which, due to my champagne tastes, is almost always out of my budget, but then I go to thrift stores and find something similar or am able to MAKE something similar from thrift clothing. Then I only buy the thrift clothing on 1/2 price day, so most of my purchases are less than $5.
I knew it !.. damn nuts expensive, but I love anthropologie style, looks like D&G spring/fall look .. but I dont think about buying them, I live in a small town .. Thank GOD
I bought a skirt from this brand with the price 125 dollar. And two day later, when i open website it's discounted to 69 dollar, i was very regret :))))))))
Thrifty, sustainable, and fashionable. Thanks for breaking down the looks and showing how a little ingenuity and diy craftiness can revamp a wardrobe without breaking the bank.
I loved this video! I really enjoy going thrifting and the fact that when I was a kid we did it out of necessity and now we do it because of more moral reasons is amazing to me. I just cant justify paying and buying new when there are perfectly good clothes and other items that are much less at the thrift stores. More over, there are a lot of these stores that put profits toward some great causes so I'm all in. Great job ladies!
I don't know what is more insane: Free People prices or the idea that anyone would want those zebra clogs and/or pair them with 90's wigwam socks! Y'all nailed these ridiculous looks and I'm definitely going to try something like this on my next thrift trip.
You girls did an amazing job! Those thrift flips had the style without the price. So accurate! I can even say I preferred Becky's first look to the Free People one. So glad you kept the black stitching. So pretty! People can either like or dislike the brand and the looks, but that takes nothing away from how you rocked the challenge ;)
Honestly, I LOVE that you are encouraging people to not buy new things. It's so nice to see TH-camrs promoting second-hand shopping rather than fast fashion haul culture that is so often seen today. THANK YOUUU!!
You gals amaze me! I cannot believe how close you came to the original outfits and how much you saved! Definitely subscribing. Gotta see what you'll do next! :D
I’ve been dying for another video!! 💛💛 Especially since I’m moving into my college dorm as a 3rd year Fine Arts student! Styling for everyday and also y’all’s amazing dorm looks are giving me some SERIOUS inspiration. So, thank you so muchhh!! 💛💛💛 Sending all my love! Xx
This is such a great concept for going to the thrift store! I often wander around aimlessly but I like the idea of using retail sites, not just Pinterest, for outfit inspiration.

Your combat boots outfit with the white embroidery skirt is way nicer than the free people outfit. I'm not a Def leopard fan and sincerely believe that your outfit is way cuter than FP outfit!!! Great job!!!
I love watching the 2 of you shop, you are both so incredibly different in your styles, and yet you know each other so well, that it just all comes together. The two of you are friendship goals for someone like me who is completely anti social. OMG I want those boots.
Wow! When you guys pose the same way as the lookbook pics, it looks almost the same!! Fantastic job. This is so inspiring! Would love to see more of these challenge videos
I’m finding your channel so inspiring as I’m pretty brand new to sewing and upcycling and not so new thrifter, this is really encouraging to see all the possibilities for upcycling that seem easy enough for me to possibly hopefully eventually pull off but I’m excited to give it a go

Free People outfits are RIDICULOUS! Yours look equally ridiculous but at fraction of the price!! LOL Well done girls!
Right. "hobo chic"
Expensive and not size-inclusive, either.
Im glad it wasn't just me, came to the comments to check out who else was thinking this. Sorry but not even cute at all.

Look up LoneFox videos, he does a great job of creating or upcycling expensive looking inspo decor items. He's more precise than a lot of DIYers.
Maybe it’s just me but the leopard print dress on Becky was not that bad🤷🏼♀️
I think the last look was adorable though. The biker short thing was pretty as well but also controversial

Becky, you could always try bleaching the skirt with the blue stitching to make the stitching white.
In my experience, bleaching black only makes it orange or blue. Which would still be cool but I actually liked the black stitching!
