He played college football and had a short career in the NFL and then the CFL with the BC Lions, a team I had wathced in person a few times, but he played with them before my time. Many years ago, I read a passage about him from an old trainer to Hollywood stars, say that Carl Weathers had such athletic prowess that he could have excelled in many fitness/sport endeavors.
