I've got the 2016 version, but with 2.2 diesel engine. It's been a great car, but this 2019+ model seems to be a significant step up in terms of interior quality.

As a current Mazda owner I can say with absolute certainty that you are chatting a load of crap. Mazda have been great from the day they were founded to present day.
Mazda petrol engines are not turbo charged, have a high compression and are loud at higher rpms. They need high revs for accellerecion since torque is quite low at lower revs. Accelleration from 0-100 km/h is quite slow for 165hp.
It’s sad that 2024 still uses the old infotainment system. Weird for me that they didn’t upgrade it to the newest one that exists since the 2019 in Mazda 3

165hp simply isn't enough for a car of this size, especially the wagon version. (Which we sadly never had in the U.S.) At minimum this car needs the 2.5l 191hp/186 tq, better with the 2.5t making 250hp/320 tq. I mean the 2.0 in the MX5 Miata makes like 181hp, makes no sense to detune the engine for a much larger, heavier carm

That is what I said. Its not “NEW” its “OLD”. At least 7 years old when it came out and didn't got any facelift whatsoever between. Thats why it also out of production now. There is no successor for the 6 in Europe. In asia there is the EZ6. They stopped production and give no successor for the mazda 6 because there is not enough ask for this segment. Most people rather suv's now. Thats why they didnt took the risk at investing in developping a new mazda 6, risking it would barerly sell (like this gen did aswell) and getting financiel problems because of it.

In Netherlands, only a small amount of stock left of new Mazda 6. Production has stopped.
I drive a 2021 Mazda 6 signature. It’s a fantastic car.

165hp is fine, what it struggles with is the low torque which is quite not enough for todays driving. either needs a turbo or 50% more displacement.

@@schaerfentiefe1967 If you are a good driver, then it’s not slow. My 147 HP Mazda 6 GH can do 0-100 in 7 seconds which is good.
