My favorite is the K5 GT and second is the Honda Accord 2.0t. I heard they are discontinuing the Mazda 6 for 2022. Pricing is too high compared to the competition, and Mazda sold only 40,000 units in 2020.

Just got me a 2021 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Turbo and I love it. It has the luxury feel of a Lexus and the acceleration and torque of a sports car. It's sleek and sporty at a reasonable price.
Nah the Camry’s with the two tone roof’s look sporty and aggressive looking 🤤. The Mazda is more of a luxury design and it executes it beautifully. At the end of the day they are both very nice looking cars and it comes down to what kind of styling you like imo.
Same Honestly, they're all nice mid-sized sedans but I always wanted a Mazda but couldn't afford one till now. You get the most bang for your buck in luxury, style and handling. Certainly not the most fuel efficient but who drives a 2.5 liter luxury sedan for fuel efficiency?
@@techocrazy We fit just fine in the car. The trunk has great space. Very very comfortable car plus it has power when it's needed. Long distance travel is a breeze. I can't be happier with my choice. Beautiful functional car. I would definitely by another Mazda 6 signature in the future or it's replacement.
the problem is these car guys test em and always recommend getting the 300hp versions etc. but most people buying a corolla arent looking for hp. fuel economy is more important.
Exactly!! All they have to say it's snappy when you need to take off or it's slower then the other. No one is going to go on a track with these commuter cars lol
I wasn't in the market for a mid-size sedan necessarily--I was in the market for a *hybrid*, for this reason. Test drove four different cars and ended up dithering between the cheapest and most expensive of the lot: the hybrid Corolla and the hybrid Sonata. The Corolla felt more downmarket, not a lot of room in back, but it just had a great road feel, the most fun to drive of the four. But while I was dithering, another buyer snapped up the only hybrid Corolla on the lot. So I went with the Sonata hybrid, which is a fantastic car. I think it actually had the worst fuel mileage of the four because it was the biggest car, but I still get just a hair under 50 MPG most of the time. The car guys are not gonna like that one, though--the internal combustion engine is smaller than the regular Sonata's, though the electric motor is helping to push from a standing start.
@@vg4472 I have a 2003 Mazda6, 300k and goes like new. true, some things might rust, so every other car, but gosh, i can´t believe it goes as well as it does with so many years and miles. These new Mazdas seem to be even better made than mine, I am sure it is a great buy, and they look GORGEOUS, better than any German rivals, and more reliable
Last year we bought a Mazda 3 fully loaded and it just shook me when I found that it was in a lot of ways just as good as our BMW 328xi fully loaded, and only for half the price. And this year we added a mazda 6 signature, and it's just such a nice a car that as first time mazda owners we give mazda a 10/10 on both cars.
As a 6 Signature owner I can confirm, I've made a lot of my friends who owned Acura's and Lexus' change teams lol. The other cars in this video have gotten nicer but none of them have the same "hand sculpted/crafted" look to them inside and out like the 6 has. IMO the other 3 (and the KIA K5) look like ugly cybernetic bugs in the face, their design's have only been out like 3-4 years and are already ageing poorly. They just look like their trying to hard to be "futuristic" and that's exactly why Honda toned down the look on the new Civic to not look like a failed science experiment, or something a 16 year old designed in his CAD class like the last generation Civic did...
My sonata is a 2008 with 150,000 miles on it. Never did anything but tires, batteries and oil changes, still gets 0-60 around 7 just like when it was new. No oil burning, comfortable, and I've driven it cross country several times. I've thought about buying a new one, but they have downgraded their engines so much I just couldn't see the point. I still get 30mph on the highway, it's a great car.
I have a 2009 Sonata with 145k and a similar experience except 0-60 is probably low 8s (2.4l). I’ll add mine has been totaled…twice, but she keeps on going! What these reviewers often fail to account for is longevity of the vehicle. Honda and Hyundai have been having engine issues over the past 5+ years once they exceed 100k, so I no longer trust them.
I had a 2008 Hyundai Elantra with a Beta engine that had 160K miles. Hyundai's engines in the mid to late 2000s were good. I liked the amount of horizontal leg room and simplicity of them. They drove nice. When you get into 100K miles + on them, a lot of them get suspension and accessory problems, which isn't a deal breaker for me. Unfortunately, I would never buy a newer Hyundai and expect them to run forever. Their engines do not last and they have problems with them, and I would never buy a 1.5L turbo on any car for longevity. I'd only get a newer Hyundai if I get a really good deal on it and if I was looking to sell it after 4 or 5 years.
If the Accord was a 2.0T, It will be on the 1st position, Mazda6 is a great car, but its starting to age now, TRD Camry's looks great for what it is, but as far as I know, it's tuned to be efficient rather than performance and the transmission tends to stay in top gears. For the Hyundai its ugly AF but the interior looks classy.
I wouldn't say that the mazda 6 is getting old but it need a good refresh. And a great refresh shall it get in 2022 mazda 6 is no more no idea what they will be calling the replacement but in line 6 RWD is all I need to say. And I am excited to see what Mazda going to give us next year
My sentiment exactly. They are comparing apples to oranges. Toyota is a sports tuned sedan, and Mazda is more of a luxury sedan, so why not compare the top version of every car?
They’re redoing it. It might have a new damn and design. They’re not getting rid of it permanently. They’re rebuilding their lineup. Now it will be like Infiniti. CX 50 CX 30 CX 90 Mazda 3 Mazda 60 possibly?
The Mazda6 has ridden off into the sunset now, but that it still looks that incredibly good next to much fresher rivals speaks volumes. Would be my personal choice over the Camry and Sonata easily, and probably over the Accord just by a hair.
@@JoseFernandez-wu8pj Yes, the 6 is luxurious and timeless. The other 3 cars in this video look like UGLY cybernetic bugs that are trying to hard to look futuristic. Its a shame Honda didn't give them the 2.0T especially since its a tuned down CTR engine! I have one in a 6 speed and it honestly surprises me how fun it is. Add to the fact it has a great seating position(Im 6'), massive rear seats and a spacious trunk its a great daily driver. Biggest downside to the accord is the rear styling IMO.
i'm 6'8", and i geniunely can't fit in the accord, which is ridiculous considering how large it is. i fit in my dad's 2013 accord no problem. the issue is that they just don't allow the seat to move very far back. when it's as far as it can go, there's still a ton of backseat room. because of this, i fit better in much smaller sedans, such as the Mercedes CLA and Audi A3 because they allow the front seats to move as far back as you'd like. this issue exists in a recent nissan altima rental i had as well. So for truly tall people that want a sedan, you're pretty much forced to go German.
@@wl2486 I can see being that tall would be very challenging to find a car you can fit in. I know a lot of people tend to move to a SUV or larger vehicle rather than a sadan just because they are forced to. It would depend on the shape of your body too. I'm more torso than legs so I don't have a problem with hoe far back the seat goes. That is why I also really appreciate the accord because it sits much lower in the car versus others so you really feel like you sit in it. This allows me to have ample head room while not having to lean the seat back so far I can't reach the steering wheel comfortably.
@@muramasa870 dude here’s the thing! My buddy has a 2009 Lexus GX470, same exact problem. This gigantic truck, but the seat barely goes back far enough to sit in. Yet, I can get into a Mercedes A220, and be far more comfortable. Go figure
From Mazda3 to Mazda6, the latest gen Mazda's are just WOW. Amazing stuff. Pieces of Art to look at. Well done Mazda! Clearly giving Accord's a run for their money.

I now drive a '13 Camry SE V6 and I'm surprised that it has become my favorite car of anything I've owned. It definitely is reliable, no joke. Many enthusiasts look down at my "Appliance" but I will outdrive you, the car is very capable, and if you beat me, hey, it's just a Camry.
I can somehow relate. I bought the sonata limited last year before the n-line was available. Limited only adds heated steering, ventilated seats and some surround cameras. N-line does seem like the best choice.
@@dustinprenger1374 I agree, because the Limited is more luxury oriented. The N-Line sonata is missing a few features from the Limited but compares to the TRD. The Mazda 6 delivers on both these aspects in a sense but it's outdated in both.

This is fine, but what's missing is some thoughts on longevity. The turbo, for example, probably not an ideal choice that most people don't factor in. Naturally aspirated Toyotas and especially Hondas have a reputation of running forever. It's not just about how a car performs new.
MOST of the reviews on cars are focused on the here and now and not longevity, Reliability. who cares how quickly you go from 0 to 60? punching the engine like that regularly will ruin the engine!

Funny you get the Red TRD Camery, Red Mazda 6 (2.4L turbo, all leathered up). Then you have the lower trim Black Sonata and plain grey Accord, WHY?!?! You know Honda puts a 2.0t in the Accord, and Hyundia has a 2.5l Turbo "N-line" Sonata??? It's like you went to the local dealership and said, "what you got". Purchased a 2022 Sonata May-2022. Put on 20k miles in a year, noting I have a 58-mile daily RT for work. I absolutely adore my Sonata. GREAT mileage, very comfortable, fairly quick. Tad bit "jerky" in braking and acceleration; as noted in the video. I really like the catfish front-end, some people don't like it. About the only downside ? It's difficult to tell where the side and nose of the car are. Meaning while the car is very easy to drive and park; in a way parking can be slightly cumbersome. Up real close, it's just tough to tell where the sides of the car are as you're parking. Other than this tidbit, absolutely GREAT car and quite the bargain. If it matters, I have the "SEL" version.
@@misk.421 All still pretty much the same as three months ago. Flat out GREAT car. I'm getting excellent mileage in-town, but I stress that is on in-town freeways. Meaning across Phoenix, half with traffic and half pretty much devoid of traffic. The car is rated at 27-City and 37-Highway, and I'd say that's about right. In-town it's 25-28, and on the freeway to/from Phx to Prescott at roughly 75 mph (ranging from 65 to 85), it's about 37 mpg. Now, in-town on the freeways, averaging 60-70, it's getting 40-42 mpg. At least compared to my prior Sonata (a 2013), which did not have that minor issue. Awesome, awesome car all around, I just love it. Let's see. One other minor tidbit that's a bit annoying. @@filetofish7688 I am certain you will like it. I'm not big on the hybrid action in that the SEL itself gets excellent mileage. This stated, the hybrid would likely do even better. The SEL is rated at 27/37, and that's about right. I get anywhere from 25-40 as a general statement. The freeway 40mpg is at 75-80mph, generally with the AC on. I have driven on the freeways when it was really quiet at a constant 55mph, and it gets a staggering 55mpg at that speed. More realistically, it's about 45 mpg at 65 mph, falling to 40 at 75-80, then 37mpg or so at 85mph. Take care.

Fuel Economy, service costs, reliability 👌

30mph on the highway? Other drivers must be screaming at you.
j/k, unlucky typo there: mph vs. mpg.
Accord 2.0 is the clear cut winner for me in this segment.
@Contingency IBCT lol Toyota doesn’t even make their own engines 😂
Accord smokes the Mazda sorry
And I am excited to see what Mazda going to give us next year
It's sad that Mazda6 is gone for the USA. It's the SUV craze, and Mazda being late on giving a cr@p about reliability.
My sentiment exactly. They are comparing apples to oranges. Toyota is a sports tuned sedan, and Mazda is more of a luxury sedan, so why not compare the top version of every car?

I'm more torso than legs so I don't have a problem with hoe far back the seat goes. In-town it's 25-28, and on the freeway to/from Phx to Prescott at roughly 75 mph (ranging from 65 to 85), it's about 37 mpg. Now, in-town on the freeways, averaging 60-70, it's getting 40-42 mpg. But, that's about the best scenario. As before, I will say it's a bit difficult to see the sides, nose, and tail of the car. At least compared to my prior Sonata (a 2013), which did not have that minor issue. Awesome, awesome car all around, I just love it. Let's see. One other minor tidbit that's a bit annoying. All the warning bells, whistles, oddball sounds. They are all safety features, but they can be annoying.
@@ButcherBird-FW190DThank you for the description. I’m planning on getting the 2024 limited hybrid.
Take care.
These guys aren't reviewing. They are flirting with the cars.
I love my mazda6. ☺️
For me:1st Mazda=Luxury, 2nd Camry=Sporty, 3rd Sonata=Creative, 4th Accord=standard
Have you guys driven the 2.0 variant of the Accord?
Apparently they haven't.
Mazda 6❤going to buy next month
This must have been made before Mazda announced they are discontinuing the 6.
Well..... We might be getting a RWD, inline-6 Mazda 6. They only stopped the production of it. Hopefully the rumors are true. Mazda is slowly eating away at Volvo and BMW. Without the reliability problems of the BMW or the Alfa Romeo.
@@michaelpan7737 Its not the Mazda6 anymore then. It's on a new platform, and will go up a class in price. It will be better than your average midsize because it costs more than one. I believe that Honda still has the crown when it comes to the affordable midsize!
@@davidcazares7441 Who knows at this point. Mazda is intending to fill the gap between mainstream and luxury. Mazda might still price it within the pricing it has now. One way it’s doing that is making it’s cars fractionally smaller than its competition. Or they might have different methods of manufacturing that could cut down costs. However, Mazda is currently going down the same road as Toyota did with Lexus and making a car that is significantly less expensive than its competitors. One day, Mazda will be a premium competitor.
Mazda is slowing Turing into a Luxury company. The interiors are getting nicer every year and the price is only going up. I’m really sad they are discontinuing the 6. They have a chance to rip at Honda, Toyota, BMW, and other companies with how nice the sedans are.
Wow what thoroughly thoroughly refreshing way of reviewing cars. Loved every second guys x
We've been using this format since we started way back in 2007. Very glad you found us and glad to have you watching!
@@EverydayDriver Oh excellent! I'll watch other ones on your channel then 😉
I'm a huge Nissan and Infiniti fan from the UK so look forward to seeing reviews on these.
Keep up the good work guys! 👊👍
We got a new 2020 Sonata SEL 1.6T in glowing yellow and love it so much! Great looks and performance. The black is unimpressive, but the features and value are the best imo. We looked at Audi A5 (not as nice and way more $), and the Accord Sport (a little more
I bought brand new sonata sel plus with 1.6T I love it
Just got a set of Michelin pilot sport as 4 for my 18 signature 6, the handling boost is just icing on the cake for the already fairly precise handling. If I can get a new Mazda infotainment retrofit that would be a dream come true. Love everything else the car has to offer for the 4yr ownership.
Love you guys. I bought my fiesta at because you guys. But my wife’s Honda Accord sport 2014 is are family car with the most room of any sedan 🚘 and the suspension and driving characteristics are amazing. My parents Camry is great but the Honda is just the most refined everyday car you can drive. Can’t go wrong with a Honda or Toyota. I would never buy the other two because of Reliability and depreciation
Currently at 65k miles with my ‘15 Sonata and not one dealer visit nor a tow truck nor calling the car warranty company to file a claim! I also relocated across the US for a new job with my car full of my crap ! Zero issues ! Just some perspective.
@@ascott2168 Hyundais are much better now than they were 10-15 years ago, but it's gonna be a good long while for them to build a reputation for reliability as they are competing with Toyota and Honda's 250-300k common long-term mileage.
@@zacharyyang8697 yeah I get that but folks are quick to buy something European without thinking, knowing that they have quality control issues over the long haul ! BMW, Mercedes, VW, Jaguar, LRRR ect…poor quality yet marketed as “luxury” !
@@ascott2168 No and that's a fair point. I hate to say it, But I'd take a modern Hyundai over a BMW/Mercedes
@@zacharyyang8697 I would lease a BMW or MB ! Not even if I was rich. All of us want a car to start up and go every time we get into it and not have silly electronic gremlins falter, head gaskets blow at 50k miles & trim pieces fall a part and/or creak inside when dishing out $70k 🙄🙄
I had a Mazda 6. Best car ever. For the price and for what you get. Also stands out more from the sea of millions of Accords and Camrys
I'm team mazda, accord and sonata! Beautiful!!
Mazda6 looks standout.
Owned a 2000 HondaAccord Ex coupe luv it, own a 2012 Mazda, mazda6 I touring .Honda for looks and speed, Mazda for interior, looks ,both great cars.
I love my Mazda 6, can’t wait for the next generation of it. However, if I was to shy away from the Mazda, I’d choose the Camry
Mazda 6 is better overall and its design is far better than the others
I’d go with Honda out of all of them
Honda and Camry is best always have good values any time buy or sell 🥰
I like the sonata's uniqueness and its luxurious interior. Value for money.
I found it impressive that a video I saw earlier pitted the Camry against a Masda 6. Both times the Mazda 6 won a drag race, with lower horsepower, higher torque, and a 4-cylinder (the Camry was a V6)! I guess you can tell I’m a Mazda fan!?!?
I wonder how it fairs against the 2.0t Honda or the 2.5t Sonata
The Camry TRD looks kinda bad-ass. And I never, ever thought I would say that about a Camry!
It looks god awful. Even uber drivers would throw up
An!t looks the best XD
That ricer wing and all kinds slats and the front face looks like that freak from predator movie lol
deephouse O “ricer” god that word is over used
Ok, I like the Camry TRD, and I even like how the car looks, but come on, bad ass? The front end is too ugly
Honda and Toyota for sure, been getting both Toyota and Honda. Ordered the 2022 Camry TRD to mix fun and function for my family. Now I will have a 2017 CRV and the 2022 Camry TRD. That V6 is all I need!
Food for thought....testing these vehicles at 5200 feet altitude handicaps the normally aspirated Camry.....
The Camry, even with stiffer ride than the competition, still far from providing the most communicative steering. This alone is a failure.
So based on their scores the ranking is
1. Toyota Camry
2. Mazda6
3. Hyundai Sonata
4. Honda Accord
id take the mazda any day of the week
Mazda wins medal for the sexiest
Interesting comparison…but for me, it’s the Mazda. The Honda is just too bland. The Toyota, is just bland with trinkets and power. The Hyundai, I can’t love the exterior styling, it looks like it’s kind of melting in the sun.
The Mazda. Even though it’s been around in the same basic shape since the Neolithic era in automotive terms, it’s still just a beautiful shape. Its proportions are just perfect. It’s svelte, but with a hint of purpose. Aggressive, like a horse trying to win a race.
Inside, Mazda are quickly becoming the Audi of Japan. Quality materials, with colours and design that makes it look and feel a notch above.
The Camry now has recieved an interior update
Mainly on the infotainment
Really looking forward to the next-gen Mazda6 with RWD and an inline 6 option.
Yes but when is that coming? All we know is that for now the 2021 Mazda6 is the last one they're putting out for now. We all hope that it gets a refresh and come out swinging. It's much too nice a car to disappear forever.
That won't be happening, unfortunately.
@@Ironfangzu I read 2023?
@@Ironfangzu Once the iron out the inline 6 on the cx90, we should get it on the mazda 6
