It’s hard to take financial advice from someone who continually turns $1 into $.50 . A vehicle , mostly is the worst financial decision anyone makes , the second largest purchase most people make that deprecates quickly while you pay interest on that depreciating good.
This is far from a crash, its a pullback triggered by Japan's interest rate increases. It's already climbing back up.
That and the new job numbers way bellow expected.

Esp GM’s and any dealers that were affected by recent hack that basically made it impossible to sell for about 3 weeks.
So that is affecting things still as well, they probably haven’t mentioned because truthfully they def didn’t figure anything out, just relaying what they deal with.

Yet 7 years ago I bought 8 year old Hondas for 1k at auction.
Now an 8 year old honda is 10k.
So how is a 1000% increase crashing?
consider it as an opportunity not a crash, it’s a crash for people selling at a loss. most people selling are selling their capital gains and will wait a few days to buy it back, that’s how they make $$$. And many have their money in money markets and short term Treasuries, so they are safe earning 5%+. If any one has been in the market knows there are always 10-15% correction but they are short term and the market comes back roaring again. Opportunities don’t come often, it’s going to be a time where people that missed out are able to get in at a much lower price.

A drop in the market costs you nothing if you don't sell. I haven't lost anything because I'm not selling for at least 10 years. In fact, I bought $10k worth of Stellantis at $17.50 and have a limit order for another $10k at $15. I'll buy another $10k if it hits $10. Oh, and 15 hours later, the DJIA is already back up over 39k.

According to actual financial experts this was caused by ajn unexpected increase in Japan's interest rates. What you don't mention is that only one day after this, the market regained nearly all it lost the day before.
I was going to recommend that you stick to something you know like car sales however, I saw how you handled the investments you made at the Mecum Auction in Florida among others.
So, you cashed out and moved to Florida the most inflated and greedy housing market in the country not to mention the worst state for traffic. I guess this means you're out of the car selling business. That doesn't sound like the wisest move.

It's funny watching sky is falling videos like this one. My entire account is up +2.4% today during a so-called crash. The way I trade is by scanning for stocks that drop -10% in one day and today only ONE stock exists for my algo which is extremely low. the day before had 38 stocks to pick from. So I had to lower my scanner to stocks that dropped -5% and that got me 100 stocks to pick from. Anyway, don't believe all the doomsday hype that bank on drama videos.

Well like usual your about 2 or 3 months LATE with that news. The market will rebound. I have way more in the market than you mentioned and last month I was up over 80k. Stocks are made to invest when they are low and sell when high, not what you do and freak out and sell on the one day shit hits the fan. If your old man wants a car to invest in have him buy a Honda or Toyota then trade it in 4 years later and loose 4 or 5 grand (i have owned over a dozen this way). Your always going to loose on a American car or truck. Buy a used toy that's a couple years old as a 2nd car so the first guy takes the hit on it. It's just my 2 cents of advice.
Wait ... the price drop has just begun ... this is an earthquake for the auto market and the fun has just begun ... I would wait at least 1 year before I would buy anything new. These vehicles are over priced by 50% of the asking price.

My uncle bought 9 new suv,s and they got a deal like no other, now there being shipped to Australia and scrapped for new parts, making it triple in price bought even after the labour to pull them apart, he's also bought cars in UK and shipped them to a huge profit in spare parts, time to buy when it's right cashed up and deal when it's right, the spare parts system is booming here in Aussie and companies want newer parts and pay well for them
I live in NSW , and when I buy parts for my cars , I don't buy here unfortunately. It's far cheaper to buy OEM from Japan, U.K or Germany, and get it shipped here, crazy ! , but true.
5:50 speaking about jeep/chrysler being motivated. I forget the exact amt but up here in Canuckistan, Chrysler dealers are offering $20,000 off msrp on ram pickups. No one is buying those overpriced turds. GM trucks are still moving slowly but they're offering reduced interest rates on high end vehicles. The gm dealer near me, last time I went in they couldn't squeeze another truck in sideways they were so packed.
I'm currently looking to replace my POS ford, looking for a used truck, canyons and colorados are going for more than sierras/silverados. I mean, thousands more.....

Out here in Huntington Beach ca, they were building houses down the street and they were sold as quick as they built them. I thought how do so many people have a million dollars for a house? Turns out they’re all $4-5 million each!!! Still sold about 500 houses in this neighborhood in the last 8 years.

Hey Dad, since Fiat and Stallantis bought Jeep, these are not the vehicles they once were. They are now all POS. Unsolvable and ongoing electrical and software issues and we all know they are no longer bulletproof and the overall quality is woeful. They become worthless over time. Dad you're old enough to not buy the shiny new toys, go get a comparable class Toyota.
