You guys have really stepped your game up. It has been a real pleasure watching the growth of your channel. I got on the bus in the summer of 21 and it's been a great ride. Thank you both
Only just discovered you two yesterday and this HAS to be some of the absolute chillest and nicest content i've seen in a while. You two are great fun.
This is one of the best videos about Tokio I've ever seen. I discovered you recently because I'm planning my honeymoon to Thailand and Singapore and your videos helped me so much. But this video of Tokio (together with your video of Singapore) is a gem, for real, I want to buy a ticket and go to Tokio NOW. Thank you for being real, genuine and especially thank you for not following the trends and artifacts of TH-cam, Instagram, TikTok and whatever. It's so refreshing! And I love, love your philosophical takeaways and the end of your videos, that's what travelling is really about! Kisses from Italy and Hungary ❤
I’m echoing everyone else, but I stumbled upon your vids recently, and have to say you two are the best. The subtle shade you throw at the cliche content creators is gold. You two are an absolute joy to watch! Keep up the good, hard work.
I'm only watching this now, but I was in Tokyo about a week before you were filming this and your previous videos in Tokyo, Osaka, and multiple other countries were instrumental in helping me plan my trip at the time (it was very last minute). I went to more places you guys recommended than from any other source - often going out of my way to find it - and I was so thankful for these videos as a guide. Now I am desperate to go back and experience even more adventures
You are truly one of the best vloggers I watched so far. Very talented. The editing is fantastic, to the point and funny but especially the voice overs are incredibly good. Keep on traveling. ❤
Great video on Japan. It brought back a lot of memories of when we went to Japan. I love Lisa's smile. She just makes me so happy with her joy bubbling from within. Keep up the great work!
I like this new budget. It felt more natural like you could actually enjoy things and relax on vacation (still on a budget) but that you were not missing out.
My partner and i have wanted to travel to Japan for ages and your videos have helped so much! It was actualyl how we came across you guys, we were looking for inspiration on where to go/what to do etc and came across your 3 days in japan vid!
Another excellent video! Brought back all my memories of my Japan trip in 2011 with a certain someone from this channel. Only 3 weeks until my own international adventure spending a month roaming around Phuket.
Loved the video. So many great ideas and like you say it’s ok to have ideas of places and things you want to see and I’ll feel the best way to discover hidden gems is with your feet.
14:00 Consider yourself lucky having witnessed a procession with gagaku (literally, elegant music). 14:37 It is an ancient Shinto Imperial court music.
Hi guys, I love your vlogs so much! It would be nice if you could always tell us in which month you visited the place so we can get a better idea of it 😍
Love this video! We are going to Japan in just a few weeks so this video came just at the right time. And as budget travelers, this has so many awesome ideas we will have to keep in mind. Never knew you could climb Tokyo Tower. Great job guys!
Love these videos! A word of advice to anyone who is considering going to Japan... GO! GO NOW! The exchange rate is incredibly favorable right now, especially from the US Dollar $. It is like everything is discounted 30% off (accommodations, food, trains, etc.)
You guys are simply awesome. Keep making great content. Watched your NZ trip. It was so great. We live in NZ and we loved seeing our home through your eyes. Planning a trip to Japan and you have given us so many great tips. Your video on the true financial reality of having a YT travel channel was so honest and some of the best content we have seen. You always bring humour, great writing and a lovely humanity to your videos. Just know your content is loved and enjoyed. We hope it rewards you both in every way. Cheers Simon from NZ
Stumbled across your TH-cam Chanel looking for Japan videos. I must say you two are my favourite travel TH-cam video content creators. So genuine and authentic. Watching you two makes me want to pack my bags a leave....so thank you. Keep up the great work. Also love how you two keeping the travel within smaller budget. I too can't afford to spend $100 per meal. Keeping it real.
Great job, you guys! I really love your vlogs. The way you tell stories on places you go, as if we are actually there. My wife and I have decided to start traveling and discover new places, but of course, on a budget. And I always thought traveling was expensive. But when I came across your vlogs, it changed my perspective of traveling. Now I know it's possible to have an enjoyable trip on a reasonable budget (your vlogs are living proofs) We are foodies and love hiking. Our first trip will be Taiwan, and after that, it will be Japan. I hope these will be great places to start 😊. More power to you and please keep doing more informative travel vlogs. 👍🫶
2.5 weeks in Japan and only saw a glimpse of Mt Fuji between buildings on the bus. Rainy and overcast days means I'll have to return. Loved my first trip to Japan and will be back. Love for your 3 days series! Gives me so many ideas for each location.
I truly enjoy watching your videos, they are so entertaining! I also didnt realize I already subscribed to your channel from 2 years ago, probably watching one of your Italy vlogs (we were there in Summer 2023). We are heading to Japan in March for 10 days (Tokyo, Izu/Kawazu, Osaka & Kyoto). Thank you for all the helpful tips and you two are awesome!
that was amazing ... just love love love your 3 days on a budget series ! ive using this method on my travels and its great to be able to travel affordable and learn how to really be creative in my travels ... always always a fan .
Loving this series! Thank you for showing a realistic travel. So many unique and new fun things. You guys in the unknown line up for the jpop concert was hilarious!
While in Japan for a naval exercise, I visited the Tokyo Tower with two Navy pilots, they stared at the planes taking off and landing at the airport for most of the visit. Those guys LOVE to fly. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely the best videos of travel i am hooked watching all of them since i discovered you on youtube for my futur trip to Singapour thanks for the knowledge and the entertainment love lisa such a cool easy going woman
Thank you for giving me more amazing places to visit in/around Tokyo this coming November! I will be going to Japan for the 5th time now and each experience is different. I cannot wait!
Went to TeamLabs Borderless two days ago and from your video, I already know I missed (at least) one room for sure. Will have to go back again in the future. There's also a free viewing deck at Hill House, a building within the Azabudai Hills complex where you can see Tokyo Tower and Mt Fuji if you're lucky. I was lucky enough to see Mt Fuji at sunset
It is a must to go climb Mount Fujii!!! Done it twice and first time i lost my hiking stick, so had to go back and get all the stamps again! It is a full days hike.
Looking so so cool! I hope to go back in september for 3 to 4 weeks. Cant wait! Next time you guys get to Sensō-ji Temple you should really go to " Not Suspicious " bar . Went there on my first solo trip and the bar is just awesome. The atmosfeer is awesome, just sit and speek to the locals and tourists. Made some great friends there.
You got to the Asahi Beer Hall! We loved the low key vibe of it, we spent an afternoon relaxing there after walking all.day.long . Asakusa is also my fav place in Tokyo ❤. Great vlog
OMG The accidental boy band line was pretty funny!! Your strawberry festival experience in Yokohama, mirrors our Christmas market experience 10 months ago. Red Brick Warehouse has so much space. It's a shame that they hold these festivals, make it super tiny in a confined space, then make people line up for hours to get into these tiny events. a short scroll through the comments and I don't see this mentioned yet. They needed to move the fish market because the refrigeration systems in the old fish market were starting to fail so badly that they couldn't keep doing business there, with in reason. Add the tourists to the equation and how the business side of things weren't really separate from random people just passing through for fun, and it makes a lot of sense that building a new location that is Ready for both business and tourists to co-exist was clearly a great idea. I'm glad you guys went to check it out! I've not been there yet. I'm also glad that the businesses in Tsukiji (outer market) didn't seem to be as negatively impacted as people feared that it would be, by the relocation of the actual fish market.
One tip from myself is to try do more things at night. The lights are amazing. Rainbow Bridge on Odaiba is amazing at night. As are most observation decks. Skyline views are to be done as it gets dark :)
Great advice and the cutest couple. Every time I watch this video I lose a little travel anxiety. And I have plenty of that going on. Headed there Halloween for 2 weeks. I just want to be relaxed like y'all as I travel with my 35 yo son. We did score tickets to Ghibli so that is super exciting for him. Definitely want to go to Kitchy Kitchy but you can't make early reservations. Just the day of.
Great video, guys! I went to teamLab Borderless and absolutely love Azabudai Hills! At night the scene was just spectacular! Shinjuku is a great place to hunt for good food! Alas, there's just too many places to visit! 😋
You're a crack up Josh! Made me laugh thru out this vid, you're just a big kid - exactly like my hubby. Great video, love Japan & watching you find delicious eats 👌🏾
Hey! Just started watching your channel last week, the first being the 3 weeks in New Zealand video. It is a really awesome video as I usually don't get to see much of the journey or the mundane view of NZ around YT. Not sure why or how you guys started this channel but keep up the awesome work! Hope you enjoy making these videos as well.
Absolutely love this vid. Amazing jobs guys. Me and the wife love coming along with your videos. Japan is on our bucket list and you guys make it that much more obtainable. Thank you sincerely
