The Toto museum is a dream of my husband. He is a plumbing engineer and I am an interior designer. I love Toto and wish all out clients could afford them! Thank you for visiting!!💗🙏🏽🇵🇷
I love that you take turns planning the days. Not only is it a fun way to surprise your partner with that days adventures but it also shares the burden that can sometimes come with planning trips. Great way to help avoid burnout. This is one of the best travel channels on TH-cam!
This is my husbands and I favorite video, so far! We wish it was a 3 hour video haha. But seriously, we’d watch all 3 hours of it! Love your channel! Safe travels!
I absolutely enjoyed watching this, the humor on the voice over and the editing are impeccable. I was only hoping to learn more about travel in Japan but I also ended up learning about how important it is to put a video together. You guys have put so much effort on this and I appreciate that. Thank you for sharing.
Watching these videos thinking to myself that's exactly what I did / would do makes them so perfectly enjoyable. Glad you spent time in Nagasaki one of my favourite cities in Japan but often overlooked as it's so far away!
I have been watching your videos in preparation of my first trip to Japan next April and I so appreciate your guys’ approach to travel! You are delightful to watch and seem so genuine, it feels like the way you retell your travels is like how you would tell the stories to friends. I had your Vietnam and Philippines videos too and my brother in law also really enjoyed them having visited those countries years ago! Looking forward to watching more of your videos! 🫶
Amazing! I watched the whole video 😊 love these longer movies you are making. I am going to Japan at the end of the year and am inspired to get a JR pass and do the same sort of journey you have done! Perfect timing
I’ve been so bored waiting for a new Lisa & Josh video, I’ve rewatched them all twice now… I was so happy when I saw you guys had made a new video yaaaassss 🎉
Me and my other half absolutely love your travel content. It fills us with abject joy as its just the type of travel we love but also a tinge of remenicent sadness as we miss long term travel 😢😊
Love the film ... You guys are the best. U really capture what it's like to travel as a couple.. and I know it's not easy ...heat .. and uncertainty..is not a good combo ..but you always travel with positive energy..and show a real perspective on it keep up the good work Lisa and josh ...
Hi, I am glad to see you two got into a HELLO KITTY express train. There is also a DORAIMON TRAIN 🚄, as well as other country-side cute little one-car train. You two must try the “upside-down” monorail 👍👍👍👍👍👍
What a lifestyle upgrade… new Cotopaxi, clothing style (love the scarf) and … awesome food ! Plus… staying longer… just because you can ! (and why not!!!) Nice one… your editing skills are a notch above as well. By the way… Montreal is still waiting and the Canadian dollar is dirt cheap. Although, who wants to be here in Dec, Jan or Feb if you’re not skiing or eating poutine full time. Have a great one!
You completed your trip to Western Japan in the most efficient and precise way possible. This was a great blog.Fortunately, the damage caused by the typhoon in Nagasaki was minimal.Without the JR Pass it would have been extremely expensive. There are still many things to see in Kyushu. Please come and enjoy Japan again.Thank you for the great blog.
Lisa and Josh, you are the best! Fun, informative, and soooo entertaining, this has to be your best video yet. This video has convinced me (us) that Japan will be featured in our upcoming retirement life. Thanks so much for doing what you do, and doing it so well. ❤❤
I loved the multiple plot twists where you extended your stay for a few more days. It was so creative and cute! I had a great time watching it, and it didn’t feel like a video that lasted 95 minutes. To be honest, this has quickly become one of my all time favorite videos about traveling in Japan. Your storytelling and experiences truly captured my heart. I hope my comment doesn’t come off as cheesy, but I genuinely enjoyed this so much! 😍🥰
we have a ton to say on this topic in particular, but it turns out that full time travel was not the finish line for us :) traveling whenever we want to was the right answer, and having a place to call home is pretty dang sweet
Big claw game! 😂 Im so happy about the timing of this video. The two of you make some of my personal favorite travel content and I just so happen to be going to Japan for the first time next month. 🤩
so crazy to see you guys have ramen in the old gentleman's living room on Sakurajima, I was there in January and remember the experience well! Love your videos and thanks for what you do!
This is a fun one! I helped plan an itinerary for some clients last spring that included Himeji and Onomichi (despite not previously having known these cities existed), so it was fun to see what they're like. 😅
So great that you guys got to visit all those places! Glad to see your travel videos again! My significant other and I went to Himeji for the first time, I love the interior and our guide was most knowledgeable. Beautiful castle, indeed! We got the English tour with gardens. We didn’t get to go to the other places you guys highlighted but hopefully we’ll be back to Japan soon! BTW, we tried going to the okonomiyaki place you guys recommended in Tokyo but they were closed. We did get to do a local one in Kyoto around the south side of the JR line, it was delicious with seafood option.
Epic trip and vlogging guys! While so much was going on each day, somehow it felt just right too. I loved watching every minute of your ‘movie’. Booking everything on the fly showed us that not preplanning works….. Even when Japan has become such a popular holiday destination. 👍
Thank you for sharing this! It’s probably one of the best travel videos we have seen in a long time, and we watch a lot of them! Your videos are always consistently very good but for me this one really hit home and was outstanding. We have been to Japan about a dozen times now and are going again next month. We have traveled to many countries. However, Japan makes it hard to want to travel anywhere else.
the stairs you went up in kagoshima. My friend and i accidentally went up those. We got to the top and found out there's a real easy bus to get up there instead :( But what a view! Kagoshima is easily my favourite city to travel to. I was on Sakurajima using the foot baths and had a cat come sit on my lap and lay down while I did, while overlooking the city. Most magical moment I've had while travelling ever.
Hi Lisa and Josh! I just wanted to say that I love your channel! You guys have so much fun and it is always a joy getting to see your videos. Makes me want to go on an adventure someday too!
I really enjoy your Japan videos. I love Japan, and it's a place that I called home for 11 years (my soul still calls it home). Nicely done. And thanks for the Airalo code. I'm heading to Chiang Mai next week, and it knocked a few bucks off the cost of the e-sim!
Think this is my favorite video you’ve made. I’d heard the rail passes were no longer a value but you two seem to prove that there are still savings. Hope to follow in your tracks this spring. Did the Tokyo, Kyoto and Mt. Fuji (perfect day , indescribably beautiful) . Looking forward to seeing more of the fantastic country. Thanks for the inspiration to break off the usual tourist routes
thank you! this particular rail pass is for sure a value. the one covering tokyo, kyoto, osaka, and the country-wide one seem to be a much less good deal these days, for sure
I loved your trip! I need to go back to Japan! I spent several years in Iwakuni and my oldest daughter was born when we were there. I have pictures of us on Miyajima with a deer right beside us.
Just booked my 4th trip to Japan. I always have a JR green car pass. I am staying 4 days in Sapporo and 9 days in Osaka. I planned to go on a day trip to Fukuoka, but after seeing your video, my plans will be revised. Great video 🇦🇺
I have plans to visit Onomichi in the future because one of the other big things it's known for is being one end of the Shimanami Kaido, which is a road over 5 massive suspension bridges spanning the Seto Inland Sea. There are tons of bike rental shops and you can bike the whole thing in 1-2 days (depending on your fitness level and how hard you want to work haha). It's supposed to have amazing views and the bike lanes are very well planned.
This video was absolutely the best🤙🏽. I haven’t been that far south yet. Last February we did Kyoto/Osaka. Next February for sure Yokohama and Hakone! Keep up thr awesome vids. Awwwwrite🤙🏽
Oh, I hate the end - it was such a great trip! We will be in Kyushu visiting my cousins, aunts and uncles - been over 40 years since I have visited Kyushu (Fukuoka, Oita, Beppu, Taketa). Thank you for this !

Kind of mind-blowing
95-minute video. Wow. This is a great job by the best travel vloggers on YT. 🤩
Thank you so much 😀
The Toto museum is a dream of my husband. He is a plumbing engineer and I am an interior designer. I love Toto and wish all out clients could afford them! Thank you for visiting!!💗🙏🏽🇵🇷
i hope you both can go soon!
I could watch a hundred episodes of you two going around Japan, I love every second of it! p.s. Lisa was right, the toilet museum WAS really cool
but really, what am i doing with my life
I love that you take turns planning the days. Not only is it a fun way to surprise your partner with that days adventures but it also shares the burden that can sometimes come with planning trips. Great way to help avoid burnout. This is one of the best travel channels on TH-cam!
So true! We love the surprise (and relief) that comes with each day of someone’s planning :)
YAY!!! EVERYBODY!!! Lisa & Josh!!
:):):)
This is my husbands and I favorite video, so far! We wish it was a 3 hour video haha. But seriously, we’d watch all 3 hours of it! Love your channel! Safe travels!
lol, our first cut was, indeed, 3 hours long
I always, without fail, feel so much happier after watching your videos!! Thanks you guys
I absolutely enjoyed watching this, the humor on the voice over and the editing are impeccable. I was only hoping to learn more about travel in Japan but I also ended up learning about how important it is to put a video together. You guys have put so much effort on this and I appreciate that. thank you! :)
Onsen-snow-monkey cut scene for the win!
the monkey, the myth, the legend returns
Please do a packing video! Are you doing laundry along the way? All our hotels in Japan had laundry but never stayed long enough to do any.
Watching these videos thinking to myself that's exactly what I did / would do makes them so perfectly enjoyable. Glad you spent time in Nagasaki one of my favourite cities in Japan but often overlooked as it's so far away!
nagasaki is our favorite - we love it there
This is such a cool thing. I didn't know you could do this. In my eyes, Japan sets the standard for living in the future.
i looked into my crystal ball, and saw a train pass in your very near future... :)
@LisaAndJosh 🤞
Thank you for the glimpses of the Peace Parks & museums. Presented with reverence.
These movies getting better each time, 🙏🏼 , we’re so lucky to have followed you so many places already, can’t wait for what’s to come 😮💨
thank you! :) more coming soon™
This was such an awesome video! I loved the carefree 9 days of travel!! Thank you for creating this for us! ❤
Love watching y'all! My days for budget travel have passed, but I am keeping these in mind for when I travel with my niece and nephew.
if we did these on a slightly higher budget, how much do you think would most accurately represent the type of traveling you do now?
Such a joy that you share your travel with use ❤. Look forward to another adventure!
:) coming soon™
My Friday night plans have arrived!! 🖤🖤 So excited.
thanks for hanging out with us
LOVE the longer posts!! Thank you!

Your videos just keep getting better and better. This was fantastic to watch and a lot of fun. Okay, I’m off to Japan again now - Bye!!
Have fun! :)
Oh by the way - you can always ask restaurant staff to call you a taxi but also go taxi app works well!
yes we did try that! go taxi is great. there just were literally zero taxis within 20 miles lol
So Nick was right, that place looks awesome!
Another great video! Love you guys.
32:14 The sound production is excellent throughout the entire video.
thank you thank you! :)
