Dear Mr. Sunny Yu, Thank you very much for this wonderful tutorial, it is really helpful, but, I only faced one issue, that is when i wrote ({seq equation }) nothing happen, and i don't know what's the problem.
Thanks. Just checking: make sure you are inserting a "field code" (by either (a) go to Insert->Fields...->Numbering->Seq and type an index such as "equation", or quicker by the shortcut (b) Ctrl F9, then type "seq equation"). So make sure you are actually inserting a "field code" for the sequence of equation numbers, and not just "typing" the curly brackets like this { }. See this video for a detail demo of this: th-cam.com/video/ZBzzUS4Cjoc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IAFVIZr0xky5F-GH&t=44 Hope this helps. Let me know if not!!
You're welcome! Sorry for the late reply - I think it works for me: drive.google.com/file/d/1nksjJxiEtrlgkYaVI0_bkV4F3G6b5wid/view?usp=sharing In what context are you using "&" and it doesn't work?
Hello sir, I was just curious about something while watching you video. I have multiple chapters in my document and I like the number of the equation follows the chapter number like 1-2 or something like that is there any way for this?
Yes indeed, it's a couple more steps, I'll try to record a demo for it. Edit: I've just quickly put together a video on this: Automatic Numbered Eqns including Chapter Numbers: th-cam.com/video/PqL1O7rz5qU/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps!
Make sure the "/ Unicode" mode button is selected in the Equations tab, instead of "{ } LaTex" or "abc Text" mode when you do this. Here is more documentations in case it is useful..

Thanks a lot! It's a serious time-saver. Anyway, I have one question - could not make it work when a formula included "&". Why is it so?
