The phrase “game changer” almost put me off this video. I should have known Kyle wouldn’t do us like that! Definitely changed MY game!! Thank you Kyle!!!
You know you can just paste the image, trace the bitmap and v-carve it, right? This new button merely combines these 2 actions. If reducing a single action is what you consider game-changing, then you probably never heard of simultaneous 4-axis
@@eitantal726 yes. I’m aware of the way this could be accomplished in version 11.5. Doing it with two keystrokes? That does change the game. Thank you for your pompous, condescending commentary. Your positivity is inspiring
@@eitantal726 It does more than combine the two existing features. I tried a couple of images both ways and if you mostly care about the outline, the Sketch toolpath performs much better than tracing before cutting
Just found your channel and excited to see what you have been doing. I am a retired engineer turned artist and have been teaching CNC classes for the past 10yrs.
Thank you for the video. This would help immensely in learning about the software and the specific cnc capabilities. Before this it seemed like an overwhelming experience to get stuff done as a first time user. Now it seems more manageable
I’ve seen you a couple of times before on the IDC Woodcraft channel with Garrett and I’ll have to say, Kyle, you definitely know your stuff! I will be attending some of your courses at some point to up my game. Just don’t have the time at the moment.
I just viewed your video on the Vetric 12 Sketch Carving Toolpath and was blown away by the upgrade and your knowledge and ability to convey in an understandable way. My question is how can I learn the functions of the Selected Vectors / Selected Level that appear in Matching Limit Boundary? Thank you
Hey Kyle, I planned on buying your bootcamp for vcarve this weekend but the V12 coming out this past week has me hesitant. Are you going to do a new one for v12? Or if i decide to get the current edition of your boot camp course will any future V12 course or tutorials be included ?
Is it possible to get rid of the transformation border. When i preview the toolpath image it has the transformation border around it as part of the toolpath. I cant delete it without deleting the image itself.
Nice job Kyle. I haven’t figured out how to export the vectors or play/edit with the created vectors during the sketch carve. Do you know if there is a way to thar?
Great video. Sold me on version 12. Tried copilot and it only let me type something in once. Told me to come back in 24 hours. What are some other programs that don't have limitations?
I was just playing around with this and every time it runs it also puts a border around the outside of my design. There is no border in the picture but it always creates one when I do the toolpath. Any ideas?
I have used and loved the bmp trace tool in 11.5 is this the same just added 3d model support? or is it a improvement? My normal process for this is i try to get it in bmp i convert to B and W, clean it up. then i use the trace tool. Make my toolpath.
Hello, Is there anyway to remove that bounding box that is created when importing the bitmap? So if you size this smaller than the material size then it will also trace that box and cut it? If you create a vector around the bitmap image the box that was created by Aspire is so tight to the image that you have to cut a little of the image out to create a separate vector to be able to use the Selected Vector option?
Just upgraded to V12 and found this tutorial. Followed along to use copilot to create and image and import as PNG into Vectric. However it imports with a "border" around the image - not border less like yours and I can't seem to find a way in vectric to get rid of it. I even tried your parachuting elephant and it created the image the same way. Any help with what I am not doing correctly. Great video BTW.
I own version 11.5 and downloaded the trial of 12. I used a similar image on both versions. There was a slight difference in version 12 but not enough to justify upgrading to it from v11.5. I will have to check out other new features but so far this nothing special if you already own 11.5.
you metioned you have a dowload for the short cuts in vectric in a recent live with garret frommee and kates wed night live. care to post me a link to that download please thanks
Kyle, can you show how to get a AI file like your elephant to load the job. i followed your instructions but the file would not load in Openbuild, gsender, or any other. you show us how to get the AI file but not to carv the job
Him Kyle. Recent member here. I am in the market for an upgrade in my laptop. I use Vectric and want something that isn’t slow like my Surface 3. Do you have a recommendation? Thank you sir.
If you use Gear gadget, you will not get to use in in version 12, this is what Vectric said in an email to me "It looks like the Gear Gadget would been remaking to V12 but at this time we do not have any timeline for plans to do that"
Im still on vcarvepro 8, i love it but i have to say that after 11 years doing cnc woodwork, vectric is WAY over priced.. I just started 3d printing about 6 months ago and the software available for FREE is astoundingly more complex as an application and FREE!! Again I love vectric but the 3d printing community is SO much more about the creator and not the software that its stunning! I wont abandon vectric yet but im not paying $200 to upgrade after i paid $700 to begin with.. Especially after seeing what onshape offers for FREE for hobbyists..
I own Aspire and just bought it a little over a year ago. I won't be upgrading as $450 is just too steep for my small business when I haven't really recovered the cost of the initial investment yet.
Do you have protocols in place so if someone pays the $300/$400 for your class and something happens to you or the internet gets destroyed to give people their money back?
Too bad a copilot don't work it isn't free doesn't show any pictures even when I write in exactly what you wrote In Thank you so much for the video to learn about that new Vcarve 12 . Will upgrade
@@JMarcusPedroza It's clickbait because the AI generator has nothing to do with Vectric. It makes you think Vectric has AI now. It doesn't. The image in question could have been any other image

If you put a vector box around picture you can use that as boundary of drawing and it may take care of your issue.
Thanks for the help! Very good job!
I tried copilot and it worked pretty well, but didn't give me 4 options. Mine didn't look like yours either, maybe because I was using my Mac?

Trace bitmap, then clean up whatever you don't want. This feature adds nothing new.
Sketch carve has a ways to go before it’s optimal
Good video
Sketch carve has a long way to go.
Looks like I need to do an update so I can have this feature
“Not an “update”… it’s an Upgrade. $250 they seem to have left that part out, oopies….😮
You say free with three easy steps however you have to pay for the new aspire update so not really free
Be the first to know. 👍
Anyone has seen that the elephant actually got two snouts? 🙂
I hate V12, completely. 11.5 was better. i have nothing but issues with v12. Freezing up and loosing everything, error 3 windows, a waste of money.
GAME-CHANGING is when VCarve offers something like simultaneous 4-axis. Or indexed 4-axis. Or maybe even ai. THIS is not a game changer
Or just a simple adaptive cutting
@@atejada320 There's nothing new about this feature. It's a combo of two existing features in one button: Trace bitmap and vcarve.
