I’ve been in the CNC world for a year and opted for VCarve pro instead of Aspire. I was thinking of buying Aspire because I was getting more and more into the 3D cutting with my Onefinity, you’re tutorial saved me $1,300. Outstanding
This is great, I can't afford to upgrade to Aspire from vcarve pro right now. Been trying to do guitar components and struggling. Downloading blender immediately.
As I just found your channel this evening I'm a bit late to the party, but if you'd rather not bother with Blender (though it's a great do-everything program to have and learn over time), you can do the same thing with most 3D file slicers or even something like Meshmixer (or most any modeling software for that matter). The upside on the slicers is that most are free to download and use, whereas Meshmixer was (not sure if it still is) but also does fairly rudimentary to mid-level model adjustments.
hi, i have a very small 3d part (16mm diameter with some 3mm holes) I need to cnc but when I import it from freecad stl to vcarve the resolution looks like garbage, I imported it at the MAX resolution (50times slower) any ideas?
Wow! So full of tips and tricks! Is there some place that lists all this different tips for someone that's still pretty new to Vcarve Pro? I'm just a hobby user and don't play with the software often so it's difficult to become good at using it. This video was wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
I am glad you enjoyed it! I do have a library of Vectric tips on my website here: bit.ly/vectric-tips Also, if you prefer to learn in a more structured way, I have a complete step-by-step Master Training Course available here: go.learnyourcnc.com/3xNO1NB
I liked this tutorial and the keyboard shortcuts he showed BUT...While shortcuts can be great time savers once you know the software, as a person learning I would benefit more from knowing exactly what you did...Meaning which menu item command was initiated to mirror the object when you performed the "H"shortcut? Without the context of what that shortcut is actually doing there is no real learning taking place. I'm assuming it performed something located under the model command? Anyway, that's just my suggestion, otherwise great tutorial.
Yes, just minimize the viewing window when looking at the full size 3D view. Then resize both windows to make them fit next to each other. Just like what you would do in Windows software.
This was cool, but in my very limited experience, it would be easier in Blender. Or to save for Aspire. I will however look at your paid lessons. Thank you.
Just a small note regarding the elk/moose confusion: it's a "moose" to North Americans, an "elk" to Europeans. My apologies if that comes across as pedantic.
You can bring in an STL save it as a 3d clipart and save a lot of time and end up with the something with a lot less time. Like you video but this one too me make no sense, unless you want to do it the hardway

you are one of the best teachers of vectric out there!

One of the best tutorials I’ve seen that isnt just a regurgitation of the same old same old. Professional, clear, succinct! Thank you!!!!
That boxing out within the vector trace is a huge time saving tip! Thanks
You gave a quick preview of this on Thursday. I still haven't done 3D, but I've saved this video for "that day". Well done, Kyle.
Glad I could help, Steve! I look forward to seeing what you create "that day"
Just started watching the video, pretty exciting
love the inside the box trace only - THANK YOU for that one especially
Still new to this, just bought pro, but I recognise the awesomeness of this work around for it.
One of the best tutorials I've seen. Aside from the very useful content, you did it at a pace un beginners can keep up with. Thank you!
Amazing 27:00
excellent tutorial . Did not get bogged down showing us how you got to the final product but taught all the steps needed to get there
Thank you Brad! I respect everyone's time, so I try to make my training straight to the point without any added "fluff."
Thanks for this great solution to cheeky business practices!
Awesome! I haven't done any 3D work, but loving the tutorials. Thanks Kyle.
Excellent explanation, Kyle. Thanks for taking the time to walk us through that.
Outstanding Kyle, well done and thank you
A really good tutorial - thanks. You got the pace and content just right.

Glad you enjoy it, thanks Bob!
You're a genius! Thank you, that was very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Great tutorial, learnt a number of things. Must learn more of the shortcut keys!😅
Brilliant! I was wondering if there was a way to do some 3D editing with VCarve Pro. Very useful! Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Very handy tutorial. Thank you
Great tutorial and workaround!!
That is genius! Thanks!
Very good content! Thanks
Glad you liked it!😁
AWESOME JOB!
Nice. I need to try that out
What an awesome video! Thank you so much! Because some of us can't afford Aspire.

Anyone know where that specific bear stl came from?
How can you overlap 2 Stl s trying a flag and a eagle thanks
I find in strange to move a double sided stl file, please advise

where do you get all the stl files
How export stl from vcarve?
How are these 3d models created?
Can I view 2d view and 3d view side by side while I'm working in VCarve?
Yes, just minimize the viewing window when looking at the full size 3D view. Then resize both windows to make them fit next to each other. Just like what you would do in Windows software.

Different animals...

That’s cool , but there is no way I can remember all that. My brain feels fried!!
Clever, but would be 10 times easier to just model in blender, and import the finished product into vcarve
Sack ol of them.

Same thing* sorry not something
Can you explain how to do that
seems everything goes through blender at some stage but blender is too scary for most ,id say the user interface needs work to make blender awesome
spend 1000's on software, and they still try to shove their clipart down your throat
I use Aspire, never have this problem
The Vcarve developers are so lazy it's not even funny.
Super
This isn't importing multiple models and editing IN VECTRIC... You're using a completely different program and making that a single model... doofus.
