Just earned my subscription because dude this video was quick, simple, and understandable. Switched my external over from my PS4 over to my laptop and couldn't get it to work and now it does, nothing was more satisfying than seeing a steam game that required 40 gigs have 2tb of room to download on

It’s always been so easy if you look around PC settings as he showed you towards the end. The real challenge is formatting it to extended storage.

I can not thank u enough! My daughter's Xbox suddenly didn't see her external storage. After holding the button and restarting, unplugging etc I had no idea what to do! U walked me thru step by step and it suddenly kicked back to life! Plugged it back in to the Xbox and it can see it again (albeit empty but hey!) So she has a fresh hard drive to download evrything again. THANK YOU!!!!

This was the easiest solution on TH-cam! Every other tutorial was a dead end! After 2 hours of going through tutorials, FINALLY an easy program I didn't even know to use and it was on my WIN 10. Thank you Finest!

Works! If you right click and there is no "New Simple Volume" listed, delete the volume from the top bar or from the right-click option. Afterward the "New Simple Volume" should now be there after right clicking.

Finest I have formatted my 2 tb hardrive on my pc, it now shows up just like yours.
However, when I plug it into my Xbox I can’t set the external hard drive as my preferred capture location, it only allows internal and thus 2 min recordings.
If I unplug my hard drive and plug back into my PC, it basically vanishes and I have to repeat the format process all over again!
Any advice please?

hi i purchase 6x 5tb external hdds and i always use WD Quick formatter but now i get this error on new drives: wd quick drive format does not support changing the block size of your wd external drive

Thank you very much. I have two external hard drives for my XBOX1. And moved all the games from the smallest 1TB USB external to the other external 2TB and the internal. Yet I was stuck trying to reformat this the NTFS! You saved the day! Thanks! I didn't do the short format though so mine is taking longer. I will post this video in my Socom facebook club. I even downloaded two apps to see a way to wipe a harddrive. One was a trial and asked for money. Other asked for admin tools right away. Then I figured there has to be a genius on youtube. You were hook line and sinker for genius for formatting a external hard drive to NTFS! Thanks again!

I have a seagate HDD 1tb and everything worked fine. The only issue I have now is it won't let me set it as my capture location on the capture settings. It pops up in my storage devices as for music and videos and I clicked used for media when prompted too. Idk whats the issue? Also it is a 3.0 usb
Hi I managed to get to 1:15 part of the Video however tho. It came up after I said "ok" as an error and now is says my External Hard Drive "disk 1 unknown" I'm not sure what to do. Could I get some advice
