    Well done 👍🏻 you have made a good investment here. I too have purchased this expensive Monitor arm (waiting for it to arrive). I have an AOC 49” monitor with a 1800 curve and the specs say this arm is compatible 👌🏻. Happy to subscribe. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺

      Enjoy it! So far, only this monitor arm can handle larger monitors and I have no regrets spending this much.

    Its kind of hard to justify the price of ergotron if your monitor costs less, than monitor arm, when there are many other cheaper versions available. But if you have new ultrawide 34+ inch monitors, or G9 , then its quite easy to justify costs of ergotron. Either way , after long research i ordered ergotron myself, for my 38'' ultrawide. To justify cost of ergotron, it is still costs 3-4 times less than Apple monitor stand.

      I have to agree with you. There is a cheaper version of the Ergotron monitor arm called the LX - but then again, it's expensive even though it works well.

      That's the reason why I didn't buy the Humanscale M10, even though I do plan on buying a more expensive monitor in the future anyway.
      It costs significantly more than the Ergotron HX, and I don't feel like it actually beats it where it matters the most.
      The Humanscale M10 does have superior cable management, but this is not something that bothers me too much, as I don't really care too much about the back of my monitor.

    Make sure that you've order the HX that comes with the HD pivot tilt model that easily holds and pivots a Samsung Neo G9. There is the HX that doesn't come with the HD pivot and it costs less. So keep in mind when you order. Hopefully you've order the right one. Cheers@

      I'm not using this arm with the Odyssey Neo G9, but yeah - I find it to be quite annoying to need to get another accessory to mount the G9.

    • @puddleduckist
      @puddleduckist 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The hd pivot isn't needed unless you have a large heavy curved ultrawide like the neo g9 or a heavier monitor.

  • @StardustLegacyFighter
    @StardustLegacyFighter 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    No need to feel stupid about buying this monitor arm, especially since you are planning on buying a larger (and therefore heavier) monitor in the future.
    I also bought this monitor arm for the same reason, and I have no regrets so far.

  • @armen1136
    @armen1136 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think it's worth it, You're basically paying for a quality monitor arm. I wouldn't trust a cheap $100 arm with an expensive monitor. I wish it was cheaper, But for how premium and reliable the arm is, It's worth the price.

  • @cutcorners6005

    you should install the arm to the back of the monitor first then take the arm and install to the to rest of the arm. You wont have that problem anymore.

    You probably need to use the HD pivot accessory for the rotation lock to work. It’s a bit of an annoying upsell but it’s kind of obvious you may need a bit more than just the base HX arm and accessories to work with the largest and heaviest of monitors.

    I am using a 34” on NB 101 as well. I have the same problem with wabbly screen when i move my house. Annoying when in presenting on powerpoint in video conference call.
    Would it be better / easier if attach the upper arm with the vesa mount to monitor then lift the arm / monitor to slot into the base of the Ergotron? Thank you

    well I purchased the Ergotron HX pivot arm for my Samsung G9 and It only just holds the monitor an inch of the desk before it droops back onto the surface! Somehow I dont think the arm is quite designed for the G9, even though its surposed to take that weight of the monitor...Ill need to look into this further...Im feeling abit ripped off I must say...Its probly perfect on a lighter weight monitor but not doing so well for this admittedly huge G9 monitor sadly...

    Damn, why non of reviews of Ergotron hx don't have wobbling test or at least a demonstration. Even here at begin of video you have shitty stand from NB, and show how it is wobbly. But why don't show the same with HX? To compare?

      @shteud01 It only wobbles excessively if it's placed on a desk that lacks good stability.
      However, on my fairly good quality mid-tier standing desk, the Ergotron HX keeps my monitor more steady than the default stand that came with my monitor.
      My monitor was never wobbly to begin with, but it actually does feel much more stable now.
