    Thorough. Thank you. I've been watching videos that have no narration and have been very frustrated. I like to work at the same time as the video but I can not have both screens visible at the same time. You have been very helpful in explaining the process and not moving too quickly.

    Make Gorgeous 3D Patterned Spheres in Adobe Illustrator #illustrator #tutorial

    • @HelenBradley
      @HelenBradley  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Niamh Beirne Yes you can. Just open it inside Illustrator using File > Place. Then make it into a Symbol (as shown in the video) and you can apply it to the sphere. Just be aware that you will want an image which is pretty much twice as wide as it is high so it won't be horribly distorted.

    What's that move you do in 0:54 to make a square selection, but you don't mention?

    • @HelenBradley
      @HelenBradley  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You use the Selection tool - it is the black arrow tool in the tool panel. It is used to select an entire object.

    Another great tutorial Helen. I watched this after your photo cube today, is it possible to use a photo instead of a pattern on the sphere?

    • @HelenBradley
      @HelenBradley  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tracy McNicoll Yes it is Tracy - it will be pulled out of shape a bit but you will get a similar result and the process is the same as using a pattern - just make a symbol of it. You will need a photo that is wider than it is tall a 3:1.5 ratio of width to height will be about right.

    Hi! What if I need to wrap a rasterized image - say, photo - around a sphere, how could I? Will all this logic apply?

    • @HelenBradley
      @HelenBradley  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can give that a try. You'll need to create the image as a symbol. You'll also need to create a sphere with no rotation so that you only have one face to add the image to. It should be possible. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be interested to hear how you go.

    how we make the grid like sphere

    • @HelenBradley
      @HelenBradley  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not quite sure what you are asking. But if you want to make the surface of the sphere show a grid then you have to create the grid and save it as a Symbol. Then do exactly as I did in this video to cover the sphere with the grid.
