You did a great job with decluttering all that craft supplies. It felt good when I went through all my craft stuff. I even did a tour of my little craft area on my channel. Its been going great and ive been using what I have for the journals I make. Great video as always!
I like this format going through things and talking about how much they are emotionally registering and why. The education on hoarding disorder is great too but this is so satisfying for me to watch! Tip for the scrapbooking organizer: try having separate drawers dedicated to paper, stickers, tools, etc. depending on how much paper there is and how many drawers, you could also subcategorize by size or style.
I love this new format of you going through each item with us and telling us your thoughts! Feels like we are hanging out in your basement and clearing with you! Please do more like this!!
Today, I used some scrapbooking stickers in my monthly planner/habit trackers... and let go of a bunch of stickers today! I was proud of myself. Now, I need to finish some scrapbooks & get my craft supplies more organized :)
Love going back to the old style of talking about the decisions you make. It’s so helpful to see how someone works through those different scenarios. I missed the part where you put things away, though. It was good to see you putting stuff with their categories. Did you move all that ribbon to the ribbon bin? Also, at least for me it helps having my stickers and embellishments separate from my paper since I feel like those are two different things. I was curious if you moved the stickers to the empty bin that used to have ribbon in it.
Wow! You got through the rough sorting of your craft supplies! I loved watching it. Such an accomplishment!! As far as your ticket stub goes...have you ever heard of a Smash Book? It is a book for keeping things like concert tickets, special cards or other special momentous. I have a couple of these books and love looking through them!
That has got to be such an incredible moment--to open a box or a folder, look at something and say to yourself, "I've worked through this issue. I can let this go."
You are SO gentle with yourself! It is really empowering and healing to listen to your inner dialogue being presented that way. I know a lot of it must have been sentences that you told yourself over and over again to make them real and impactful for you. But I find, it opens up a lot of possibilities to forgive myself and like many comments have already noted: to allow myself to be in the season I am in, instead of thinking I have to go from semi-hoarder to minimalist and when I realise I can't, just give up altogether and feel bad about myself. Thank you for those healing words! You may have started this channel, thinking they were only for you and you're satisfying some sort of theatrical desire to be seen. But in accepting yourself and going ahead and doing it anyway, you are helping people!
My motto this year is “Clutter Free in ‘23!” I’ve been going through each room clockwise decluttering and organizing. I just went through my stickers. I had some Hallmark ones from 1975! I was 13!
I love that your cat's name is Pepper. I love your positivity and you remind us about the progress you are making. When I recently took a break from my phone I ended up missing you. You are a precious gem! So glad I found you ❤
Drawing hands is very tricky! And I'm impressed by the shading on your "I love you" ASL hand shape. 😃 I have old art of mine from high school and college that I've framed with little frames from Ikea, and keep in my bedroom. It's not art for everybody, but it makes me happy to see it. And it helped me let go of other pieces of art I had been holding onto for a long time. Instead of having it all squirrelled away, I framed favorites, kept a few other favorites in a folder, and was able to let go of incomplete sketches, drafts, etc. I'm so impressed by your tenacity to keep chipping away at this very large project, woohoo!!! Keep going!!! (On another day, when it's time to come back to it again)
Hoarding is a tendency I have that I don’t indulge. It is fun to watch you go through your process. It is easy to apply to my items, and so healthy how you do it and speak to yourself. I have noticed hoarders tend to craft. I’m glad I don’t have crafting as a need. Saves tons of money, organizing etc.
Well done Ms ♥️!!! I have been Scrapbooking for 25 years. I have accumulated a lot of stuff. I have been going through it and donating it to a kindergarten teacher and a family who lost all their craft stuff to an electrical fire. Keep up the great work!!!!
Take a bow 🙇♀️ that was brilliant. I laughed when I saw more ribbon and you left a lot go. You are so considerate passing on the paper to teachers and their students, that’s a win for everyone. Miss Pepper is loving the new space to explore more. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍💐🐈🦄
Hey friend! Wow you're an amazing inspiration! I know what you mean about emotional with things & sometimes we aren't ready to let go of some things. Tfs! Hugs & Many Blessings 📒🐝🦋✨️💛🌟🌻♥️
I always say "good job!" But i have to tell you that watching you has enabled me to let go of craft supplies myself. I had a decorative box full of pearlized sticky dots and little fabric stamped or plain pennants and doondads. I got rid of them all knowing i hadnt used them once since I bought them. Thank you for continuing your courageous journey, it really does help me 💜💛
Those sketches were awesome! I have been missing this style of your videos - where you hold up individual items and talk about their significance to you. You're doing great!!
Melanie, that was amazing! And I very much appreciate that you talked about the actual items you are dealing with on the video - thank you! have an amazing weekend! ❤
You are such an inspiration! The way you practice positiv selftalk and process your feelings is so hard for many of us to do and therefore so good and important to see!Thank you!❤
This is amazing! You have come so far since I started watching your channel. I remember the first glimpse of the basement I saw a few years ago. It was packed and so random. Now you have that special corner for your sons to play and hang out. Soon you’ll have your craft station. I’m so happy for you.
The basement looks incredible when i remember how you started in the basement. Im so excited every week to see your progress and im so incredibly proud of you
The fact that you are able to declutter some of the ribbon shows wonderful progress. Please make a late summer wreath from the hydrangea flowers, as I can imagine it will look so good because you are so creative. You could make a great video showing us how you make it.
First of all, I want to say -- YOU ARE TALENTED! Your drawings are high quality. Also, I am glad you are not shaming yourself for your spending in the past -- you were blessed by it at the time and you are using the items now to bless someone else when you declutter. You are right to celebrate where you are now. Way to go!
Honestly it's so fun to go through your scrapbook things with you - my Mom had a lot of those same things and she passed five years ago. We had a lot of fun scrapbooking together. Anyway. Thanks for sharing and well done getting rid of these craft things. They can be SO sentimental!!
Yay!!! Craft supplies is organized!!! Now you can release your full creativity potential! Cant wait to see more open spaces as you get closer to your goal!
Somebody is going to be super Happy getting those supplies! You are doing amazing. I've got rid of so much paper and old research in the last couple of days. Found some great things I had forgotten about too. It feels so good. Still really in the "first sweep" stage of decluttering but I'm amazed how much I've been able to part with. Between your videos and Cas from Cluttering, I have gained so much inspiration. Keep up the great work
It is so encouraging seeing how you are healing, accepting your past coping through shopping yet realizing you no longer require the resulting hoard and are able to both let go of so much of the items and not impulse buy now! So many people identify with you, your healing and bravery as you make your home more functional are very inspiring.
So silly, but watching this I see you getting rid of things and I'm all "No!!!!! I have all the feels!". Especially anything blue as I have a child obsessed with the color blue. So I'm all "Not the blue ribbon! And blue paper too!!" . So yeah I'm over here being silly.
I just love your authenticity! ❤ I can very much relate to the craft supply hoard, and am trying to take baby steps, too. To.complicate things a little, I am having to declutter my Mom's hoard (I am sure I inherited this tendency 😂) as she just moved into an assisted living facility. Thanks for your encouragement ❤
Great work! Consider getting a dehumidifier for the basement to keep the humidity levels lower especially with all of those crafts down there. You will need to empty the container every day or two unless you have a sump pump tank that you can directly drain into which is ideal. Once you can get to the walls of the basement, consider painting them with a Kilz paint for the basement that repels moisture and kills mold. As you continue to reduce, it will continue to get easier to manage the basement. ❤
August 2024. I just save various colors of yarn and paper. The images and patterns change each year. I have 3 plastic shoeboxes of silk flowers, one small bin of paper, and a jar of ribbon. I have 4 skeins of yarn. Tina, Al's wife
Loved seeing Pepper making the final inspection of the craft supplies. She was probably looking to sit inside a cardboard box . Great job on sorting out the craft supplies. Thanks for inspiring me to continue with my decluttering. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July. Pepper will probably hide when hearing the loud bangs of fireworks.
Since my school break has started, I’m trying to put out as many bags again as I can part with using your videos and a few others to keep me going. So far I’m at 5.5 big bags in 12 days. I am aiming for 20 over the summer. I am still trying to figure out where I kept all the stuff. I started with you and I had kept track of first 150 or so bags or giant items.
When I'm getting rid of stuff, which can be hard to do, I try to think, will my life still have meaning for me if I don't have this or that? Will I still want this if everything was gone tomorrow? Maybe I will mourn the lost of some things but the things are not me. It's amazing how much you can discard and free yourself from the emotional attachments. We all must move on. Things keep us stuck.
I made myself decide which crafts and hobbies I truly love and kept the tools and supplies and BOOKS related to those crafts and hobbies. Everything else is getting rehomed if useful to someone or into the trash/recycling. It helped, but noticed that I have too many duplicates of things. Next step is handling that stuff. It is still tough. I am a shopaholic too. Wasted tons of money, and still purchase or obtain more items. It is tough for me to see your tossy-tossy stuff and not want to grab it for myself. Funny, but not funny.
I’m in your home state of NJ for the first time for a wedding. You mentioned your sister was in town from Indiana. That’s where I was born and raised but live in Florida now.
I don't know if you remember me saying I was struggling with eating before bed, I found a way to stop me, I have an ice lolly and then Chew gum I've managed two weeks, hasn't been easy.
Ok - I love gum : but my dentist warned me She said "you are doing something where you are holding / pocketing food in one side of your mouth because a whole section of teeth has serious tartar - and you can lose those teeth. " I figured out it was that gum chewing: I recommend sugarless gum and floss and brush 1 hour after candy trash. I only chew when I really need it because tbh it is way easy to create habits like this because it becomes comfortable.
Love the new format / edit style. I’ve gotten so much motivation from your videos. Thank you!
Miss Pepper looks so proud as she looks over the tossy tossy pile! 😂
I love that you HONOR your emotions instead of pushing them or forcing yourself
You did a great job with decluttering all that craft supplies. It felt good when I went through all my craft stuff. I even did a tour of my little craft area on my channel. Its been going great and ive been using what I have for the journals I make. Great video as always!

Yes! My favorite videos are the ones where she goes through her thought process with everything she is throwing away and comments on them.
Incredible, as always! I do like this throwback to your older videos where you go over each item. ❤❤
Peppers pose was so funny at the beginning 😄
I love this new format of you going through each item with us and telling us your thoughts! Feels like we are hanging out in your basement and clearing with you! Please do more like this!!
Today, I used some scrapbooking stickers in my monthly planner/habit trackers... and let go of a bunch of stickers today! I was proud of myself. Now, I need to finish some scrapbooks & get my craft supplies more organized :)
Same with me
I love how Pepper just walks over the tossy pile like, 'this is trash, I walk on it' XD
Love going back to the old style of talking about the decisions you make. It’s so helpful to see how someone works through those different scenarios.

My favorite videos are ones like this where you talk out your decision with us. It’s so incredibly soothing and interesting to me. Great video!
I made a pile of craft items, then gave them to the seniors program at my friend's church. Tina, Al's wife
Yay, it's that time of the week again 😁❤️
Loved how you talked us through each decision
September 2023. I love ribbon, too. I just had to stop at one plastic jar of ribbon. Tina, Al's wife

Every weel I wait on you're crafts declutter and I'm so excited to the final result❤❤
I really like this video format. It's nice to hear the stories behind some of the things you have. You're a very good story teller ❤

I really enjoyed this style of video!
I would’ve been the same about the pony beads 😂❤
Makes me always sentimental when I see your Fraggles an Care Bear Stuff in the background. Loved them in my childhood, too. Even today. 😊

Love your dress and hair! We adopted a new kitty from the pound. She is such a loving little furball❤
I haven’t watched in awhile. You have come so far. I found myself being attached to ribbon you parted with. 😂Way to go!!! I’m so proud of you

Ribbon! 🥰
You can be so proud of yourself. Support and love from Germany.
Another fantastic job congratulations your on the road to recovery 💜🦄
Great tossy-tossy pile! Love that dress on you!
I like how Miss Pepper often does an assessment of your tossy tossy pile at the end. It’s like she is saying, “good job, mommy”.
I was amazed you got rid of Ribbon. You have come so far
Love this! I had so, so many unicorns. It took me 30 years to be able to let most of them go!
So awesome to see this! I love how you walked through every piece so quickly! How many empty bins do you have now??? *hugs*
I hope you find a way to organize your art supplies so they are displayed and easy to use. You deserve it!
This helps! I need to declutter stickers, paper, and ribbon!
Another great job! That last craft organizer is really cool!

@@starberrydrink thanks for your advice but my dentist says it fine good luck
Btw don't hesitate to keep narrow ribbons to my little poney's tails
Isn't it great to have so much less to manage?
