I was thinking about that being a goal but I’m going to have to really declutter & organize inside the house in order to take it down. I know it CAN happen though! 💪🏼💯😃
It does happen! The penny drops and finally you just don't want anything you're not using. I loved this aha moment in my life and hopefully this video helps you keep this moment alive forever. You'll still have moments of indecision, but you have definitely finished another level of decluttering skills. So happy for you Tracy 🎉❤
I’m a first timer here and love you already! I love your personality! And great job decluttering!!!! I am 110% decluttered in my house and want you to know it is possible!!! Keep going!!!🎉
🥳 Welcome! & thank you😃 I’m getting so close to being at the point where I feel sufficiently decluttered (at least for me taste). I can see the light at the end of the tunnel😃
I’m so happy to see you carefully cleaned and packed the cake dish before donating! It bothers me when people treat donations like trash. I feel the nicer you present donated items the better chance they will find a new home and stay out of the landfill.
So much progress, Tracy! As always, you make me want to do better! Thanks for the inspiration - it's so true we could never do all the projects we bought stuff for. Take care.
I love your slogan, 'we are not organising( yet), we're decluttering'. I'm going to make it mine as well. Thanks, Tracy, I'm a craft lover too, and I've been there. Best wishes from South India❤
You seem to have what more of us need: just the right balance of willpower, to be both brutal AND forgiving to yourself, with a huge sprinkle of determination! I will try to apply your winning attitude to my own piles of crafting stuff that I don't really do/need/want anymore :) You must have felt so light and free after - I'm gonna go for that same feeling, knowing the reward it will be!!!
I love watching you and your videos because you keep it real. You must be very proud of yourself for the progress you have done from the beginning to now. You really motivate me and many others that it can be done. Thank you for sharing. Take care and stay safe 🙏.❤
It seems you are gaining a lot more traction and momentum with your decluttering journey. Excellent. Love to see your awesome videos. I’m working on garage today and have art supplies to go through that I wasn’t willing to let go of the last two times I decluttered. Fingers crossed.
Just keep plugging away. Even if you go through times where you aren’t doing it as much any little bit helps. Art supplies are always hardest for me. One good thing about not having a garage or basement & less spaces to jam pack, lol
Thank you, Tracy, for sharing your decluttering process. I think you are a sister from another mister as you questioned yourself on what should go, stay, or not ready to make the decision. Your art supplies seem to mimic mine! Great work!! 😊 I am happy that You Tube recommended your channel - new sub. 😁 Also, loved the pups! 🐾
Thank you! I’m glad it got recommended & you enjoyed it😃 Reducing the art supplies used to give me major anxiety but it doesn’t really anymore. Mild discomfort only😂
Wow, wow, wow, Tracy!!! That was seriously impressive! I need an art decluttering session of my wood surfaces. I have things that I know I am probably never going to paint. This was inspirational!! You keep going, girl! Amazing
AWESOME!!!💪🙌🙌🙌🙌 Great job!!!! I find screws and nails also difficult, because they are so useful. And craft supply is a hard one. Sometimes the question "how many projects can I do in a year or in my life?" is helpful for me. Or at some point "do I really like it or do I get stressed about it?", because it wants to get used and I don't see myself doing that project I bought it for. I loved your video (you just popped up in my feed today)!!!!!💖💖💖💖💖 Love seeing the process and the success!
So I saw the name ... And was like "aka mi ne"..... That's gotta be Hawaii . So glad I came by . Loved hearing the "you know what", brought me home for a second. More pidgin please
You can wash out old jars and use them to keep screws in. If you have got a shef somewhere you can screw the lid to under a shelf then screw the jar onto the lid
I just keep watching your videos. I still haven’t had much success with my art and craft stuff but have parted with quite a few items of household goods. My large trunk is loaded with things as well as the back seat of my car. Plus I filled two trash bags and the recycling bin. I had the same problem with finding containers for donations and trash. I really like your videos. I feel like it’s real life and not something someone came up with to do another video. Thank you for sharing your journey of decluttering and deep cleaning.
The art supplies are definitely the hardest for me too but over the last couple of years I’ve reduced a LOT. Little by little! And you’re right about it being real life over here. I’m going through it in real time😬
I'm super proud of you! My room is like this, just lots of stuff i think I'll use and projects I think I'll get done, but they just sit in my room and collect dust. So ill be doing very much the same here shortly.
I just subscribed to your channel because I LOVE your content! Your journey into decluttering is so very real and I can relate to your approach! Thank you for sharing. I feel like getting some trash bags and collecting clutter! Thanks for the motivational video!!! Good luck on the art supply declutter. I am really excited to see how to tackle that job!😊
This is the first video of yours I've watched. Loved it! I really enjoyed hearing you talk through some of your thought processes and I can really relate. Also loved your take on condensing items/getting rid of extra containers being decluttering. Id never thought of it like that but youre right!
Good decluttering job! Dang, woman. You got real and rocked that. I have watched so many of these videos from different people and have never seen the expiration date system before. Love it. Oh, and I think the neighbors need to put up a metal chain link fence on their side to protect the wrecked portion of your fence. Then they fix your fence to original condition. How have they not made it impossible for their dog to destroy your property...REPEATEDLY?! I would be so embarrassed if I was them. Good luck with them!😬
For nails & screws, you can use briefcase-shaped organisers with adjustable partitions. You can store them all in the same place, and organised into different sizes & types.
I'm sure that you are proud of yourself! So many decisions and little items! I definitely can see why you put it off.😂 Mount Everest of items. 🎉👍💯You are doing so much!
Amy @MindfulArtStudio has a wonderful mini course on cleaning out your studio and art supplies, one of the best questions she asks (I'm paraphrasing) you to think about was, "what are you keeping for the artist you once were, or the artist you thought you'd be, instead of the artist you are now?"
Nice job!! Must've felt SO nice! My favorite part honestly was when you were sweeping up at the end! I can get a little saturated with watching vacuuming, dusting shelves etc indoors, but wow, dirt and leaves under hoses....bring it on!! haha. Oh, and I could taste the sticky backs to those stars you found! Remember that taste?? Crazy!
Just watching this video again. Hoping it will help me get into gear. My pile of craft and art supplies is still piled on my table in the garage. I’ve gone out there and worked on it for a few hours. Not much progress, yet. I just noticed that you put a table cloth down on your table before you started.
Does anyone else feel amazing when you have the courage to throw away a plastic tupperware that you no longer have a lid to? I'm like "Yes! I'm throwing it away! " It makes me feel awesome! :)
I never watched your channel .... But well done mate for doing that... Clearly it is hard (know it from my experience).... I am a bit inspired and keen to do a drawer at the home I have been dreading for a while 😊
Great job. I usually start with larger items 1st so i feel more accomplished, so good job on sticking to downsizing the nails. If you have a local habitat for humanity they will take all the home project supplies. Mine will actually pick up from peoples home. I have had to clean out 3 homes in the last 10 years, I am so over 😅 clutter. I am never emotionally attached to any items so that was helpful in downsizing my parents home. Sadly they are busy filling their home up again, but i love them.❤ and they are in their 80s and they can do what they want at this point.😂
total thumbs up…Art and craft supplies are difficult.. I pared mine down by deciding if I was going to do a particular type of projec, and then got rid of everything related to that type of thing.. Example, I decided that I really did not have interest to knit or crochet, so all of the tools supplies , and related books are going.
I thought if doing that but mostly everything is related to my painting & I never know what I will feel inspired to do. I’m happy with the levels now. I’m on a strict “no buy” policy until I go through some of it
I have to...HAVE to keep myself to the "It has to git in the container" concept.... I in the past would buy more containers...dosen't really help. LoL. I love yiur videos. Its noce to see a single (Not someone thatsnmarried with kids I mean...as far as i know lol) household doing these decluttering style channels. Its much more a actual real life representation to my lifestyle.. 🎉😊❤
Loving the re-purposing of the baseboards! That dam dog 😅 I have seen some people store their paint into a jar - it needs to be kept in a dark place but might be handy if you want to reduce the space your paint collection takes up?
I can probably reduce some of it. I have gone through them to make sure they are still good at least. I have a few things to paint before I get rid of them though…The neighbor dog though🤦🏽♀️
I'd suggest you add labels to your bins. For the clear ones, write contents on an index card with a sharpie. Then put it in the end. You can read through the plastic. And if you change the contents in the future you can easily change the label. I have one large bin for ALL my paint related stuff- rollers, brushes, paint can key, sand paper.... So I know instantly where it all is. I've also saved small clear plastic jars so all my various hardware items are separated. I store them in a drawer with the bottom side up, so contents are easily visible. Abd I cut the original labels and place them inside, so I can readily see the sizes.
I've been to garage sales with huge bins full of silk flowers. I've seen craft rooms full of beautiful papers, stickers, and other accessories. I try to set firm limits on my craft supplies. One glue stick, one bottle of glue, one (plastic) shoebox of paint, one small box of beads, one plastic jar of ribbon, a zipper bag of colored pencils, and a small bag of yarn. I also have 4 old books to cut up and a bin of old gift wrap. We live in a 2BR apartment. Tina, Al's wife
You have sooooo much self control! I’m better now though. I haven’t bought anything new in a long time. I told myself I had to go through everything I currently have before buying new art supplies. It should make me more creative if anything 😆
The neighbors dog sounds like he wants to get through your fence. Doesn't sound very friendly. Be careful, Tracy. Well, you did so well out there decluttering! Very proud of you. I am on my way to get rid of screws and small metal things I have had for years now! Byeee🌻
He actually DID bust through years ago before the fence got fixed. The most annoying thing is I hired someone to fix the fence & then after that the dog destroyed it again😤 He’s been banging on the fence to the outside. He’s going to get through one of these days. The association just had that part of the fence fixed throughout the complex & he’s destroying it already 🤦🏽♀️… Anyways, happy decluttering!
Even though the cans are rusty the paint isn’t old. When my townhouse was painted I had to move everything away from the wall so they got rained on which resulted in rust☹️ I have a couple possible projects in mind for the paint. I’m sure there’s a few cans that could go of course. I’ll reevaluate at a later date. I won’t hold onto them forever though. I don’t really need the shelf space for anything else so I figure it’s not a rush. I have more important areas to tackle first🙂
I'm in the midst of doing the exact same thing you're doing and I'm getting anxiety watching you make decisions because it's the same anxiety i get when trying to get rid of my stuff.
Anything that has to do with construction and electricity you never ever throw away. Times are getting difficult and if you diy you can use them or barter them.
I have a mess. I need prayer. I blame it on multiple sclerosis and it maybe attacking the part of my brain that helps with organizing. Regardless I need prayer and help.
Always set a dollar amount. For example, if it's less than $5 or maybe $50 (you decide the amount) then say to yourself "I'm not going to keep it for, "just in case." Donate it to a charity to help someone else that needs it now.
I think voice overs work better. You lose momentum when you stop and talk. When decluttering is the goal, I wouldn't let the talk stops get in the way. You did a great job!
Too much work honestly. I’ve done a yard sale years ago (YEARS & years ago, lol). It was a lot of work, didn’t make that much money, and still had stuff to donate after. Figured I’d skip it
The paint isn’t actually old. The cans are rusty because I had to move them away from the walls when the house got painted & it rained over night. I’ve gone through most of them to check their status & they were fine. I’ll get rid of some of it if I end up not using them but I have more important areas I want yo deal with first.
I'm waiting for the moment when shed will be deconstructed ;)
I was thinking about that being a goal but I’m going to have to really declutter & organize inside the house in order to take it down. I know it CAN happen though! 💪🏼💯😃
"You're not organizing, you're decluttering." - this line really got to me. Thanks for the video.
💗💗💗 Thank you so much!
I love the idea of writing expiration dates on things you aren’t ready to purge! Very clever.
I found it super helpful! It took the decision making out of it👍🏼
It does happen! The penny drops and finally you just don't want anything you're not using. I loved this aha moment in my life and hopefully this video helps you keep this moment alive forever. You'll still have moments of indecision, but you have definitely finished another level of decluttering skills. So happy for you Tracy 🎉❤

🥳 Welcome! & thank you😃 I’m getting so close to being at the point where I feel sufficiently decluttered (at least for me taste). I can see the light at the end of the tunnel😃
I swear, having a folding table on hand makes all the difference!
I chuckle as I watch this because it is like watching myself.
😊
I’m so happy to see you carefully cleaned and packed the cake dish before donating! It bothers me when people treat donations like trash. I feel the nicer you present donated items the better chance they will find a new home and stay out of the landfill.
It was brand new & nice so I didn’t want it to chip or break! Especially because it was a pick-up🙂
So much progress, Tracy! As always, you make me want to do better! Thanks for the inspiration - it's so true we could never do all the projects we bought stuff for. Take care.
That’s awesome! I’m so happy I could inspire you😃 Thank you for watching💗
I've watched before but had to watch again for the motivation 😊.
Wow wow wow. Dazzled ❗️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
💗💗💗🥳🥳🥳 I’m onto the 2 storage closets next I think! 💪🏼
It WAS absolutely epic! What fantastic energy and momentum! You seem much happier these days too xxxx

The anxiety is way less than it used to be!
🙏 Please Lord send her strength & ease her pain❤️Amen
Always set a dollar amount. For example, if it's less than $5 or maybe $50 (you decide the amount) then say to yourself "I'm not going to keep it for, "just in case." Donate it to a charity to help someone else that needs it now.
I think voice overs work better. You lose momentum when you stop and talk. When decluttering is the goal, I wouldn't let the talk stops get in the way. You did a great job!
Thank you! Sometimes I do have to focus & not talk because otherwise I don’t have the stamina.
Why did you donate instead of having a yardsale....I’m trying to decide if I want to do a yardsale.
Too much work honestly. I’ve done a yard sale years ago (YEARS & years ago, lol). It was a lot of work, didn’t make that much money, and still had stuff to donate after. Figured I’d skip it
Sometimes you can clean something that has oxidized with toothpaste and an old toothbrush.
Ooooh, I hadn’t heard of that before!
This video really resonated with me because it was so real. Not pretty - real!
Definitely not pretty 😆
Where are you ? Miss you and your video's. 💐
I’ve had a lot of changes in my life so haven’t been able to work on my videos like before. I’m hoping to get something up very soon🤞🏼
100% sure all that paint has gone bad!
The paint isn’t actually old. The cans are rusty because I had to move them away from the walls when the house got painted & it rained over night. I’ve gone through most of them to check their status & they were fine. I’ll get rid of some of it if I end up not using them but I have more important areas I want yo deal with first.
I trick myself all the time. 😂
🤣😝
