IMO if you compare this to a Glock as a first timer gun purchase this is 10x better than a Glock for the price. I’m saying this because it is priced just like Glock but is optic ready, has great reliability history, da/sa and decocker plus safety out of the box. I don’t know about anyone else but I see tremendous value in this package.
@Juraj037 absolutely you are right. CZ has always been unbelievable value and I’ve always said if CZ marketed themselves better they’d have Glock out to pasture in 5 years. Thanks for watching bro and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
The P10 line is a better choice for a new shooter. As for Glock vs CZ. Glock is perfectly serviceable, and extremely reliable. Every time I pick up a Glock I am reminded why they have a loyal following, and I get the itch to pick up a LE trade in and have it milled.
The P07 has been replaced. The new gen P07 is the P09C, which is what you bought. I can't wait to get the P09F. The P09 Nocturne is cut for a RMSC platform. No plate needed. Direct mount.
I wonder sometimes if people even watch the video or if the very first thing they hear that isn’t correct or widely known they decide to stop watching and to begin posting. I plainly said that I didn’t get a chance to research this pistol it caught me by surprise. With all the new S&W releases the hellcat and many other new releases this one slipped past me and I picked it up on the way out of town and haven’t or didn’t get to research it which I typically prefer because you get a unfiltered reaction much like the average gun guy in thousands of gun store across the nation.
@bloodycrepe I literally said that in the video that you obviously didn’t care to watch in it’s entirety. Also, I said that I don’t understand why they switched it and just didn’t leave it P07 compact and P09 full size just optic ready now and that was my biggest beef not that I didn’t research it. I literally laughed at myself in the video saying maybe the “C” should have been a give away but people will be people. Have a nice one pal
@BagsEsquire because “creators” like myself have full time jobs or businesses to run and barely make enough money monthly from doing this to replenish the ammo used to do it. Unless you are one of the lucky few who receive free guns and ammo sponsorships and therefore get to set around watching gun vids and researching all day then you are left with someone like myself trying to run a blue collar hvac business with 2 new grandsons born this year and just in general a business life that isn’t revolved around guns because I can’t afford to just exclusively be a creator. Minus out the guns that I would have honestly bought anyway and the ammo I was shooting prior to starting this channel and the $600 (if lucky) I get from TH-cam each month and it cost me over $6000 to make videos last year and more I’m sure this year because it’s a passion not a living. With ammo, targets, gas, wear and tear, editing software and most importantly my time it cost a fortune to do these videos when I could spend that money on more guns )my real passion) and sit around like you guys and drool at the Colin Noirs of the world giving fake reviews and troll the small guy giving genuine thoughts while arm chair quarterbacking doing noting myself. How do you do it on your channel? Although I try it’s impossible for me to completely stay in the loop with all the new releases and I was simply stating that the P09/P07 change up caught me off guard. Go over and watch the guys with 1 million plus subscribers that get paid to tell you it’s awesome and have nothing but time to research because they make bank getting paid for reviews and I KNOW they do because I’m reached out to all the time and the minute I tell them I won’t be bribed to leave a good review 99% of the time I never hear from them again. So go watch your jacked, 6 pack, tatted up, cock diesel dudes crawling around on the ground showcasing their own skills instead of the gun and leave me the heck alone or watch something genuine. I hope you have a very blessed day sirs
Thanks for bringing me up to speed another thing I literally said is that I’m trying to do something genuine as in interacting with gun guys in the gun store learning and bouncing things off one another and that’s how I get better but then I get beat over the head about it anyway. This side of heaven people I’ve never met will never know how much I genuinely appreciate them clicking on and watching my video because it means a lot to me and the time it took to do it. However I’ve literally NEVER commented on a TH-cam or any other public platform unless it was to support a friend because if I don’t like what I see I simply move on because it isn’t worth my time to tear someone else down bro
They are using the same naming convention as their P10 series. The P-09C is just the Gen3 P-07 and the P-09F is the Gen 2 P-09. Some updates with a new name, that is all. The P-09C is joining my P-07 in my carry rotation. The sights are very different. The dovetail in the back is further back and is smaller. The front sight cut looks like a RAMI dovetail.
Ty sir for the info. I literally got lucky and was able to pick it up before going out of town and didn’t have time to research but I think my thoughts are more genuine that way
You can dry fire them without snap caps, but there is a risk that after thousands of dry fires you will need to replace a part that has a tendency to break after a while. Most people probably won't dry fire it enough to do that. The snap caps come with the P10 line too, and those are perfectly safe to dry fire.
They consolidated the P09 and P07. There’s a P09 Compact and Full size. The C and F. If you wanted the optic version of your P09 you needed to get the F (Full) version.
Yes, sir, and honestly, I knew that after filming this video before I ever decided to edit it and put it up, knowing that I would be potentially setting myself up for ridicule I decided to be honest because I know for a fact that many many others assumed the same thing I did especially old-school CZ Byers like myself Never even really paid attention to that just assumed that the PO was a full size. So I decided to leave the video up just as I filmed it instead of acting like I knew everything so that everyone could see how I missed it and not make the same mistake themselves. I will be getting the soon hopefully. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
I feel like this is a P07 gen 3. I EDC a P07 and had both the gen1 (those "duty" and CZ 75 P07 stamped ones) and gen2 models of P07. The first release of the 07 and then got the gen2 when they fixed the mag drop and finish. I'm tempted to pick one up for the new optic cut. I like that P10c and P07 basically use the same magazines so I'd love to stay in the compact CZ line. I'm just looking how people who had P07 users find this new P09c goes for them. =)
Recently found your channel and subbed; love your stuff, cheers from Wisconsin! Also, I know from several of your vids that you don't really watch other "creators" channels all that much but just wanted to say, TFB TV/James Reeves did a pretty great & informative interview with the CZ project lead for the Nocturne that hinted at why they called it the "P-09 C", and I happened to find another interview with said lead where he stated that the P-07 Nocturne was renamed to the P-09 C for the states for marketing purposes, but the P-09 C & P-07 have interchangeability with most (not all) parts. It sounded like CZ was developing a new P-07 Tactical w/ threaded barrel and optics ready--only hinted at, so hopefully CZ has some surprises in store for us. Keep up the good work, brother!
I guess man it was on me for jumping the gun and buying it without researching it but let’s face it I bought both P09 and P07 and will likely do the same with this combo of “C” and “F”. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
They *should" fit into P-07 holsters, but they don't fit some of the "higher end" kydex holsters. I have a Tier 1 Concealment Xiphos for my P-07 with a TLR7, and I needed to heat the holster for it to fit properly. The slide is a slight bit taller and wider, and the trigger guard sits about half a millimeter lower. It was definitely a tight fit.
Well G, when you go ahead and buy the P09F (full size) youll have to do me a favor, see if the F slide fits on the C frame. The recoil spring is shrouded in the slide and i would like to see the long slide on the short frame. But C (compact) mags are the same as the 07, or the p10c, they are all cross compatible now. Just fyi, the hammer spring and strut are the same between the C and F, the only difference is the lanyard loop piece length. The parts are also compatible (springs, pins ect) between this gen and last. Cant wait to see your review
I mean my FFL said it will probably bottom out between $429 and $449. At that price I would say yes but just depends on if you’d like your P07 optic ready. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I want to say absolutely they do, but I have not tried them as I have not been able to make it home yet to check those mags but if you will hit me back up on Monday, I will find out 100% for sure but I believe more than likely yes They look identical
I'm sorry but I have to give you a big "dur!" for the P-09 C vs F miss. It's literally all over the gun webs. Internals are the same as the last gen P-07. I own and have fired my P-09 C and like it. The single action trigger is nice and light but mine has a rough spot that I hope will wear in. I mounted a HoloSun EPS Carry on it.
I just won a bet as to how long it would be before the first troll showed up to state the obvious when I very clearly put into words on the screen that I missed that because I do not research or watch other peoples videos because I have convinced myself That doing so causes me to be biased and unfair. I very plainly put on the screen laughing at myself saying that the C should have been a giveaway, but obviously you didn’t care enough to watch that far into the video. Why would they just not call it an optic ready PO7 nocturne was my entire point. When I initially saw that they released a P09 optic ready naturally I associated that with a full sized gun but put into word verbally and on the screen that I missed that before going into the store.
