Yeah that "Ask Kurt to marry you" line gave me hardcore "Reply Yes" vibes from DA:I when Cullen asks you to marry him, I clicked both of them SO FAST I didn't even register the second options lmao 😂😭 Those swordsmen with the scars and tragic backstories, I tell ya 😅

Lady De Sardet's VA is amazing. She also voiced the famed Defender of Keves / Colony 11 commander in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Undying Blade Ashera. From Lady De Sardet's diplomatic personality to a battle-hungry maniac with depth. Her performances are just spectacular. 🤩
Surprisingly good voice acting too. I've played both male and female De Sardets, and both are good, but the female one was downright special. She sold every scenario she was in. I wanted to keep playing it just because of that.
Ugh, I messed up and I couldn't even unlock Vasco's romance bc I didn't know that the choices of dialogue mattered that much... AAAAH! I wanna start over but I'm already so faaar!
This game always winds up in my recommended games because I play a lot of RPGs wirh Mass Effect and Dragon Age being my favorite series. Can anyone tell me how this game compares to those series??
Got a strong Dragon Age Origins vibes playing this one. Gameplay is not that great in my opinion, but setting and story got me interested and overall I enjoyed it.
It’s not quite as deep with the roleplaying as those games, most times De Sardet (you) defaults to the most diplomatic solution, even when half the side characters are constantly stabbing you in the back and you might wish to return the favour, the game rarely allows it. There is also a weird lack of any humour in this game, everyone is completely serious all the time and De Sardet never once cracks a joke, which as a big fan of sarcastic Hawke in DA2, I disliked. I do really like that the side quests make a big difference to the world state, ignoring too many will lead you to a bad ending, but it can feel as if there is a lack of acknowledgement for all the good you can do, end game plot points act as if the island is out of your control even if you’ve basically cemented peace at that point. Definitely worth playing through once, even though it can be a very depressing story to follow to the end, especially if like me, you get attached to a certain side character you can’t save. Seriously, after achieving the ‘best ending’ I was sad about it for like a week, and I still have no desire to replay the game, even for this DLC.
Gameplay is rough but playable although combat does have a weight to it. The story is engaging but it doesn't allow for as much choice as DAO and mass effect. For example and mild spolier you find out something big was caused by someone and your options to deal with it are not as expansive as it should be. I would recommend this game but be warned this is a AA game and not a AAA one so temper your expectations. It's a solid game and a solid 3/5.
I don't think I will get the marriage with siora. because from the beggining, you need to do the right answers, I answered how I would have answered even tough, when I pressed, it didn't was what I expected to it's just a pype dream

Figures the Merchant Prince would act this way. After all, political marriages are the way of nobility. But at least that doesn't change any relationship with whomever you're with.
Ikr. I was under the impression that they'd be wed. It's basically the ONLY reason why I bought the DLC. Actually, to be more specific, marrying Siora was my ONLY reason in buying the DLC. I feel duped lmao but I craved so much for more interactions with her so I guess I'll settle for that...
@@revoliruy8441 I am completely with you on that 🥺 I really liked this game and felt I made a real connection with all 5 of the companions and I ended up playing the whole game 4 times lol. I decided to have a relationship with Vasco and I really wished there was a wedding scene that would have made an excellent ending.
@@majot511 SAME. I was kinda disappointed that Kurt was the only one with whom you could even suggest marriage (I mean I love Kurt too so that itself was a treat anyway). I was really hoping that Vasco would have that dialogue as well. Though I guess him saying he'd take us away is close enough. There wasn't even an option like there was for Kurt. I also keep replaying this game for the interactions with the companions (or 2 in particular 😂) more than for the actual story at this point.

Like “Hey guys, Spiders here. Uh…sorry we threw every tragedy we could brainstorm at this character…and then possibly made you watch him die horrifically. But it’s okay now… ::slides adorable marriage proposal across the table:: …See? He gets a fairy tale marriage ending, and you get a sopping sweet scene. Now shhhh, forget the sads.” :D
It's on xbox, yes. It is on game pass as well. The game is called Greedfall. It was developed by Spiders, a small AA studio. They were trying to fill the void left by Bioware, and I feel they largely succeed with this game. However, it is a smaller budget game and it shows while playing it. It focuses on the story, the characters and the factions first and foremost. It is set in a 17th century era with fantasy elements in the game because magic is very much a part of the world. You play as De Sardet, the chief diplomat and the niece/nephew of the ruling merchant prince of one of the factions called the Congregation of Merchants. The game starts with your appointment as chief diplomat and your cousin's appointment as governor of a small colony on a recently discovered island called Tir Friedee. There are six factions, none of them are actually good nor evil, just differing degrees of awful with subfactions within them that are extremist idealogues of said factions. Each party member is an important member of each faction and they will pipe up in quests, and they can help or ruin quests based on their own factions involvement in said quests. Here are the six factions. Congregation of Merchants: No party member since you represent them in-game. They are a neutral faction more concerned with profit and trade than anything else. Bridge Alliance: They are a faction devoted entirely to science and progress. Anything outside of the natural world is something they see as superstitious nonsense. They have the best guns, grenades, bombs, traps and potions in-game. At war with Theleme. Theleme: A religious nation that worships "the Light and the Illuminated", based on the teachings of their founder, St. Matheus. In addition to having very strong religious views of the world and the soul they also have the strongest mages and magic. They believe magic to be a gift of the Light and seek to convert the world to their view of it. At war with the Bridge Alliance. Coin Guard: A mercenary order that works for nearly all other factions. Hired swords first and foremost who preach honor and glory in battle. They have some of the best weapons and armor and some of the best training. Nauts: A seafaring guild. Similar to the Coin Guard in their willingness to accept contracts with all other factions they are also the only faction in the world who have mastered travelling by sea. Any and all trade agreements between noble families and nations that require sea travel must go through the Nauts. Any transport of goods or personnel for colonization or war must go through them as well. Natives: The natives of the island of Tier Friedee, they are organized in various clans, each with their own philosophies and traditions. They practice nature magic and are very knowledgeable about the island, its paths and its secrets.

If you're gonna cut corners on that then don't spend your bloody budget on getting "high quality graphics" make it a more artistic style or something less intensive in the looks department and allow us to immerse ourselves in dialogue that looks and sounds good not be ripped out of immersion every time someone opens their goddamn mouth because he's saying "I" with an over exaggerated OHAYE"

These facial animations are so bad, but just listening to the voice acting makes it okay
helps to be like me and be a reader of subtitles rather than a lip watcher. there were a few where the subtitles didn't match what was said though.
Actually, it's more so in sync than most games. I am happy for that, at least.
