Man, this just emphasises how good the Original Trilogy was. These trailers make me want to watch these movies over any of the modern day stuff they're releasing, even The Force Awakens.
Hammil would’ve probably been Anakin, Fisher would’ve probably been Padmé, Ford would’ve probably been Obi Wan, Guinness would’ve probably be Qui Gon Jin, Mayhew would’ve probably played Jar Jar Binks. Assuming the story was the same.
Then I-III would have been awesome and IV-VI would have sucked. I read that the problem was George Lucas had too many "Yes Men" around him the second time around. The first time Harrison Ford and other people would keep him from going over the creative Guardrails. A Jar Jar Binks would never have existed!!!
I didn't think I could get anymore hyped about a movie that I've seen about 800 times since that life changing day in May of 1977 and in all it's different formats and versions. Well done!
I got tears in my eyes when the x-wings rolled in with the main theme. It takes a very special kind of production to have that effect on me. Well done, well done
I have to be honest. I ended with a knot in my throat and I had to hold myself for not cry. Too much nostalgia. The Ben's voice at the end was the hard part. Amazing work dude!!!
This is your Best One! - I know the movie and I know that your parodying the 3rd TFA trailer yet this with the classic Obi-Wan lines - give me chills!! Good Job!
Gotta tell you, I've seen a number of your trailers, you have a real talent for this. On some of these, I actually got goosebumps for movies I've already seen many times. Impressive.
Awesome job editing this new trailer. This movie came out 40 years ago and damn, I just think, got to boot up my Blu Ray Rom. Also shows how much ahead of it's time the original first Star Wars movie was. I do think that the Empire Strikes Back Modern Trailer 2 you edited is still my favorite modern trailer of the original Trilogies (IV, V, & VI) All of them still rock!
I'm glad this exists - this is waaaaay better than the original trailer. // 80s trailers are too much like: hectic cuts. show all the action. exiting stuff is happening. like a hyperactive child wanting to tell you that it drew something. - yours, like a good modern trailer, has a slower pace at the beginning so we can admire what a gorgeous piece of iconic beauty we are looking at and then show some of the action which gives it more gravity and leaves more to one's own imagination.
Very clever. My only criticism would be that some of the shots play for just a few seconds longer than they should, which makes you feel like you are actually watching the movie at times.
My fav Star Wars movies 1.A New Hope (BEST OF ALL OF THEM) 2.Return Of The Jedi 3.Revenge Of The Sith 4.Empire Strikes Back 5.Phantom Menace 6.Solo 7.Rouge One 8.Attack of the clones 9.Force Awakens 10.Last Jedi (Cinematic Monstrosity)
Tom F, you are a genius !! My favourite trailers of all time are The Two Towers and The Return of the King. I reckon you can make them even more awesome than they already are.
I can only imagine if this trailer were release back during the original release instead of what passed as movie trailers back then, it would have blown away the audience just as the movie did. I saw Star Wars 26 times when it first came out.
my tears happen when i hear this line ....(for over a thousand generations the jedi knights where the gardians of peace and justice in the old republic) ....ouchhh thank you tom f
If this was what was after the prequels it would have been awesome! Star Wars: A New Hope (2007) Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back (2010) Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (2012) Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
Anonymous 2000 This is why the internet sucks. Cause people like you can’t get that it’s just a thought. I’m not a super fan of start wars I was just saying.
Obi-Wan's voice at the last cut... SO perfect, youre a genius mate
that was only thing he did correctly
Ilham Nafian well it’s easy cutting and deleting unnecessary footage and timing. It’s easy
Just about shed a tear when I heard that.
Man, this just emphasises how good the Original Trilogy was. These trailers make me want to watch these movies over any of the modern day stuff they're releasing, even The Force Awakens.
+Haydn Russell the music is from TFA ;)
Well this is old but it takes a cue from the older films. So essentially the music is not from TFA.
Did TFA even have any music? I really didn't notice. Music, originality and characters with an actual arch are things that TFA did not have.
tFighterPilot The Kylo Ren theme was pretty good.
I searched youtube for it. It seems like the standard Star Wars ambient music. Nothing that really sticks with you.
YOU ARE SO GOOD AT THESE IVE SEEN EVERY ONE AND CANT WAIT FOR YOUR PREQUEL VERSIONS
+jeff olsen yeah... keep them coming... even the holiday special... (Just Kidding)
+Planet Noize I'd love to see his take on the Holiday Special lol
+Planet Noize yes!! He this guys needs to do the holiday special, you are so right!
+jeff olsen the prequel trailers are perfectly fine... he just needs to change the movies.
+hasw24 so right
Imagine if Episodes I-III had been made in the late 70's and early 80's, and Episode IV was released in 1999.
Hmmmm 🤔
Hammil would’ve probably been Anakin, Fisher would’ve probably been Padmé, Ford would’ve probably been Obi Wan, Guinness would’ve probably be Qui Gon Jin, Mayhew would’ve probably played Jar Jar Binks. Assuming the story was the same.
I don’t think Star Wars would be AS popular if they started with the Prequels.
Then I-III would have been awesome and IV-VI would have sucked. I read that the problem was George Lucas had too many "Yes Men" around him the second time around. The first time Harrison Ford and other people would keep him from going over the creative Guardrails. A Jar Jar Binks would never have existed!!!
Star wars would’ve just been one movie because it would’ve bombed so hard if it started with episode 1
I didn't think I could get anymore hyped about a movie that I've seen about 800 times since that life changing day in May of 1977 and in all it's different formats and versions. Well done!
the one for Empire was my favorite
Well, you've done it again......you are a legend sir! My nostalgia meter is going mad! :D
Top bloody work!
Anxious for a movie almost 50 years old.
This is genuinely one of the best pieces of Star Wars media I have ever seen
I got tears in my eyes when the x-wings rolled in with the main theme. It takes a very special kind of production to have that effect on me. Well done, well done
Han running through the halls of the Death Star chasing the Stormtroopers did it for me.
I have to be honest. I ended with a knot in my throat and I had to hold myself for not cry. Too much nostalgia. The Ben's voice at the end was the hard part. Amazing work dude!!!
I literally teared up watching..... sooo much of my childhood with this episode and this edit makes it PERFECT!
I have seen a lot of modern trailers for A New Hope but this is by far the best! Well done!
It's Beautiful ;-; (There hasn't been 1 time in the last 5 years i have seen this & Haven't cried)
This is your Best One! - I know the movie and I know that your parodying the 3rd TFA trailer yet this with the classic Obi-Wan lines - give me chills!! Good Job!
Now this guy knows how to match the audio with film. Awesome trailer!
Well uh.. I never remember the film being this #crispy, so whatever you did visually (besides cuts), nice job. Keep it up man.
Gotta tell you, I've seen a number of your trailers, you have a real talent for this. On some of these, I actually got goosebumps for movies I've already seen many times. Impressive.
How to make a great trailer: have John Williams score it.
0:26 "General Kenobi!"
Luke: "you are a bold one"
The goosebumps....
THIS FORCE AWAKENS BACKGROUND FITS IN EVERYTHING!
This film is 40 GD years old. Unbelievable. I still have my lone VHS cassette on which I recorded all 3 movies from TV in the '80s.
Tears...I have no words for how brilliant this is.
These are so good, thank you for doing this. This one in particular brought back memories of all that excitement, so long ago now.
These are so great! You have a real talent!
I've seen them all now. You've done a great job on these!
I like this one the best out of all the 'modern trailers'. You've kept the sound effects instead of muting them out and just playing the music
Man this song gives me goosebumps, Star Wars for life.
All your trailers are awesome great editing
40 years later and this franchise is still going strong!
Good Work. One of the best fan trailers for ANH out there.
Goosebumps!
Gave me goosebumps, thank you and superb job!
4 years later and this still gives me chills. A shame what Disney did to my boy
Rogue One and Mandalorian rock : )
Great trailer! Got the chills. But MAN it really emphasizes how much those updated shots stick out like sore thumbs.
Love it man. You have talent bro! Totally geeking out!
I think this is your best one, great job!
The music when the falcon takes off is just amazing
That immediately made me want to watch Star Wars with my son.
These things are awesome!!! Keep it up!!! Love to see more!
soo bloody good i had to subscribe after 2 trailers..
That was awesome work! I look forward to seeing more of your videos! You just earned a new subscriber! :)
This is good! This is really good, keep it up!
This makes me want to watch it a thousand time back to back
This is amazing man keep up the good work
Again another brilliant work!
So awesome. Bringing tears to my eyes.
Very clever. My only criticism would be that some of the shots play for just a few seconds longer than they should, which makes you feel like you are actually watching the movie at times.
Your videos are the best man!
First line in this trailer just fills me with joy :))))
they were all amazing. thank you for these
When does this come out? I just saw the new one at the movies tonight and it was cool

+Alvaro Garcia Martinez never underestimate the power of the stupid side, especially on youtbe
+Joe Mack Newman Anyone with a Fallout reference as their avatar no ones what "A New Hope" is, he's messing around.
+Klerik AU It's coming December 1977
+Your Daddy 😂😂😂
I just love star wars. It will absolutely never get old.
I got chills watching this, good job!

Isaac Urrutia womder where you would place TROS?
Only three more to go! Can't wait to watch em all!
Amazing work! Well done. :)
Thank you for using John Williams music and not some terrible generic Hans Zimmer knockoff, as so many of these "modern trailers" do. Well done!
this is awesome. they all are. Im super hyped to re watch all these movies now.
wow, this trailer gave me the chills
Awesome video of star wars movies
wow that was a awesome remake good job
Tom F, you are a genius !! My favourite trailers of all time are The Two Towers and The Return of the King. I reckon you can make them even more awesome than they already are.
Working on Return of the King, make sure you subscribe!
Done and done :)
I'm guessing you are going to do it with the prequels now. Awesome work!
Add the binary sunset shot somewhere at the beginning at it's perfect
THIS GAVE ME CHILLS AGH THIS IS SO GOOD
I can only imagine if this trailer were release back during the original release instead of what passed as movie trailers back then, it would have blown away the audience just as the movie did. I saw Star Wars 26 times when it first came out.

This is why the internet sucks. Cause people like you can’t get that it’s just a thought. I’m not a super fan of start wars I was just saying.
@Anonymous 2000 learn to spell
I have goosebumps now.
Can you direct the Han Solo anthology?
+Cave SpiderTen Would love to!
yes..direct it...then can it ..and tell lucasfilm "the whole premise is flawed"
He can't direct he uses already directed footage...lots of people could do it just they don't have that sort of money
He can't he didn't direct this footage he just put together a bunch of clips anyone could do that
Actually, that's called an editor. Editors make the magic of editing happen, and yet they get very little credit for the fantastic jobs they do.
it's upsetting to me to see that TH-cam doesn't fully appreciate your talent...don't u wonder why this isn't viral
Cleverly done!
The Obi-Wan part was spot on mate. You are talented.
This made me love Star Wars even more
1:13 the chills
Can you imagine if this trailer had been played in 1977 rather than what they showed back then?
BEST! Wow that was the best of the three... Loved the ending.
Damn that is beautiful. And well played on using as much Alec Guinness gravitas as you could. Good call.
You are a genius. Thank you so much for give me a opportunity to see this. 고마워요 정말!!
Another fantastic one!
nostalgia and the feels
Amazing work. Gooseflesh
John Williams equals instant goosebumps.
Oh man, I can't wait for this to come out. *Rogue One* sequel looks fucking epic!
;)
Great Thanks for posting
The best trailer for A New Hope
Incredible.
Brilliant, man. Brilliant!!!
Wow. Just... Wow.
I love these Star Wars modern trailers. Hope to see the prequels too.
Watching this right after seeing Rogue One... get hyped!
Good at least you are using STAR WARS epic music unlike other modernized trailers which just use any music that they feel like.
Happy 40 years STAR WARS ❤
How can this make me cry?
I feel the fade to black bits in the beginning should fade slower, but all in all these Modern versions of the original Star Wars are spot on!
