I highly recommend Placebo's version of this tune. It's different but just as good as Kate's.

There's only two covers in my opinion that deserve the Kate Bush medal, This band and Meg Myers..

After surfing TH-cam of all the cover versions, this one is the most compelling, it is true to the original but with it's own character. This is something special, I've listened to it so many times. I hope this band find a wider audience.

Been Kate bush fan for over 40 years and I'm giving this a BIG thumbs up.
I respect that ypu did this 3 years ago when it wasn't viral. I'm 80ties kid, I grew up with this, but Stranger Things brought it to 21st century level.
Did you know that Kate Bush earns million dollars per month now, only from Spotify due to Stranger Things popularity and that she's the sole owner of music, song and licensing rights which made this an unexpected mailbox money for a 1985. song.
I hope it will do some good for your channel too cause this is an excellent cover.

This song has a very strange connection to me. When I'm listening I am overwhelmed by nostalgia, memories, sadness and I get a twitchy feeling in my stomach. I really can't explain why but at the same time I love this track and want to listen to it over and over. Some pretty damn good art over here.
There's a few songs that do that to me. It's a feeling of another time you can never go back to and a reminder life is passing you by. You gotta hurry and make more memories, maybe better yourself from where you are now in your life because time is flying by.

Literally been listening to this about 10 times a day. This cover is so smooth and sincere. Can’t get enough.
She also sings in the same register and in a similar timbre to Kate, so that helps.
Like, she's not trying to sing Kate for the cover, that's just her natural way of singing.

I remember in the 80s bands like The Stray Cats, Billy Idol, even Van Halen did covers & music from our parents generation in the 50s. Now, the Gen Xers have their kids doing covers & music influenced by our generation in the 80s! 🤯 I find my almost 55 year old self in stores listening to the music & singing along to all the lyrics!!! Friggin Crazy!!

I'm a huge Kate Bush fan and appreciate how incredibly difficult it must be to cover her music, many have failed. But here Ellevator have done a wonderful job.
The one true cover of Kate bush’s masterpiece. This particular cover has been up for a while and I’ve been such a big fan of it! You won’t find a better cover folks. Hope y’all get more spot light after stranger things.

I might like this even more than the original. I’m a guitarist, so I really like the prominence, dissonance and ringing out in this version. It sounds cliche, but I’m actually happy stranger things shed some light on a gem like this.

There's nobody (so far) with the haunting voice of Kate Bush -- yet this is not a bad cover; great classic voice.
I've listened to 50s to 80s songs since I was 11, it's funny that when I was 15 my classmates asked what was I listening to and I said "running up that hill by Kate Bush... it's a song from the 80s" and I was made fun of for being "old fashion" and "grandma" but I love it that old songs are getting recognition now, 70s to 80s song are always the bestest.
I agree Kate has always been in a league of her own. Having said that this cover is really great. The singers voice fits the song and she's giving it the emotion it needs. Well done.
Elevator does a great job here with a difficult masterpiece by Kate Bush, who floated above the 80s like an ethereal angel no one fully understood. She was profoundly influential.

The amount of quality music you young ‘uns are missing out on it crazy, it amazes me that people haven’t heard this song or heard of Kate Bush… do some digging, there is treasure in the past!
The guitar sound is appreciated. He brings a note of impression to a highly crafted original song and he makes nothing less of this version. He charms the song with a tone which brings reverie to the listener of a time that could have been. And the singer, she brings you that much closer to what could be.

I thank you, Ellevator, for concurring with my appreciation. A guitar player who knows how to "Court and Spark" a voice on a subtle feel of tone is rare in a recording studio. Yes, I reference here Joni Mitchell --a much loved songstress. "Car on a hill" from that particular album comes to mind. Guitarist and songstress in artful dance of tone are a rarity in a same recording session. Again, I say with much appreciation for Ellevator in this masterful tone in recording Kate Bush's "Running up that hill".
I was looking for a cover that sounded EXACTLY like this (after listening to a VHS Collective song) and I'm so glad I found this. This is so fucking beautiful. Your voice fucking floats perfectly and the music is flawless and thank you thank you THANK YOU for this. This might actually beat the Placebo cover for me as my favorite now. 100/10.
