I remember when Chris Isaak first released "Wicked Game", how I was nailed to the floor by the haunting sound that made me immediately think of the late Roy Orbison. This performance is powerful as the vocal richness and perfectly accompanied guitar had me floating and should make Chris' smile as well.

This is one of my all-time favorite songs and Chris Isaak sings it so beautifully, though Hannah's is my favorite cover. There is something about her voice that resonates with my soul and I wish this went so much longer.
I remember seeing them on the last day of some festival, everyone was all shuffling about, semi damp, moderately hungover and stinky, she was there raised above the crowd on stage, rays of sunlight parting, angelic tones belting out over us like some ridiculous goddess.
In 2024 I'm still returning to listen to this. It's haunting isn't it.
