In Forza Horizon, in addition to the feeling of the accelerator, the Apex 3 also provides different vibration feedback on impact, simulating the sensation of the track's surface being covered in asphalt, gravel, or mud. This is highly recommended when playing PC games. But mobile gamers shouldn't need to upgrade their Apex 2, unless battery life is more important than number of keys.
@@bland9876 I assume they're talking about the trigger rumble motors, not the spring/dampening force. Triggers have rumble motors as well to provide sensation of over-revving, brake locks, etc.
For those planning to get more than 1 controller, the Flydigi Apex 3 dongle can connect to other Flydigi Apex3s. Example controller 1 will also connect to controller 2's dongle. It may cause issues when trying to connect 2 controllers via 2 dongles. I did not encounter this issue with Apex 2's dongles. I found out about this as the dongle that came with my Apex3 went through a bad firmware update. I went back to the store and the staff suggested I try their display set's dongle. My controller was able to connect to the display set's dongle. Unfortunately, as there was already one faulty dongle, I was unable to test connecting both my controller and the display set via both dongles concurrently.
Great video. Really detailed to the point of even opening the controller ! I recently got the Apex 3 from the 12th Dec sale. I wanted to support FlyDigi but had to return it after just two days because there was an issue with the right adaptive trigger. It had a funny sound and it did not move as much compared to the left which was working fine. I too have the Apex 2. After I returned it, the seller asked me to consider buying again since the issue is a pretty unlucky one. I hesitated to buy it again. Build quality and the translucent cover is its strongest pull factor. I love the sticks on the Apex 2 and Apex 3 had the same. The Dpad is really really good. I tested it with Street Fighter V. The Apex 2 had the issue with diagonals and I could never jump forward when I wanted to. It was frustrating. Because I play less FPS games and like you said, playing an action adventure game would require me to change settings for just a particular weapon, it made no sense to me. Flydigi would have to keep updating the games for a bit. FlyDigi's weakness is turbo buttons. They do not even allow a different profile to be set for turbo on their normal buttons (so that you can just switch to it). No, turbo is via macro programming and that means, you can only program the extra M buttons for that. Supposed you wanted six buttons to be turbo, with the Apex 3, you can't, as you only have 4 M buttons. However, the fact that I have to press a backbutton just to activate turbo is weird to me. Much better to just have a turbo switch. Frankly, the Apex 2 is really good for what I need. I just have to swap out for fighting games. Hence, I had to really consider if I wanted to buy the Apex 3 just for fighting games and the triggers. However, for Street Fighter, I much prefer the Retrobit's official Sega Controller's six button layout. In the end I decided to find another controller and settled on 奕狐绘梦二代 this second gen elite controller th-cam.com/video/998tDtNDuM4/w-d-xo.html. I wonder why there was such a change from the Apex 2 to the Apex 3. I thought the BXY slider was cool, though could've included Y as well, along with the C and Z buttons, as I wish more controllers would return to a six action button layout, I also like the inclusion of additional shoulder buttons on controllers, though personally I think they could all use better implementation than what I've seen so far. I don't really understand the display and the light box on this controller, seems gimmicky and a glorified battery waster, though I do really like the translucent front shell with an opaque detailed shell underneath it, more companies should look at this approach to aesthetics. I wonder what's going on with that dpad though, interesting design that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, I wonder if an earlier prototype of this had a different goal for the dpad but the final version kept the plastic mold but nixed what was originally planned for it. Would've been nice to see a teardown of the trigger mechanisms, Flydigi has a graphic of the 'internals' but they don't really explain anything, I think the pots are implemented as an encoder for the motor but there's no good way to tell without seeing inside them, though this would make sense as they're using typical two-wire DC motors; I'd just hate to see how long those pots last, we all know how modern pots can't hold up to stick gameplay for more than a few months, these motors are going to be a lot more intensive, plus pots in this use really are not a proper implementation as they should be using proper encoders instead. I think the triggers are interesting in concept, but implementation is a bit lackluster without API support; though I'm _extremely_ surprised that Sony is allowing the haptic trigger implementation on PC, I thought they would've walled that off as a PS5-only feature, but knowing that their in-house controller API and game coding still allows for these commands to output, there might be hope for a modified app to support them, I'm hoping Steam Input eventually has support for this as well, as well as the haptic engine rumble and Xbox's trigger rumble, and other atypical features. Though FlyDigi's software implementation worries me, modded game files in online games, especially GTA V and RDR2, and pretty much any online game, _will_ end up with account bans; I know there's not a decent way to go about this without a proper native API to enable the haptics, but they're walking a very dangerous line. Honestly, what needs to happen industry-wide is the adoption of Steam Input, as it is by far the most capable and easiest to implement API, not to mention its extra features and input API agnosticism, it's really the only way forward considering Sony wants a walled garden of tech, Nintendo does whatever they want even if sensors go entirely unutilized, and Microsoft outright _refuses_ to expand Xinput to have features that aren't even considered modern anymore such as gyro; industry-wide adoption of SI-API would allow first parties to do whatever they want, while also allowing consumers to have the feature sets they want, there'll eventually be another convergence point where all controllers have the same base set of advanced features, such as advanced haptic engines instead of HD rumble, advanced trigger haptics, etc., might as well get ahead of the curve and adopt a flexible API that allows different variations of these to work on all systems.

They should done the new triggers on a apex 2 layout this would be a better gamepad. or an apex 2 with analog triggers xD.
Which better apex 3 or vader 3/3pro?
Vader 3 pro
@@VKsChannel how about just for android not pc game
Is the gyroscope 6 axis? Or just 2/3 axis just like the apex 2?
The same as the apex 2
@@VKsChannel I will stay with Apex 2 then. By the way, you're the best when it comes to reviewing controllers. I hope you don't change your style because all of your reviews are complete.
what control freaks work?
I can see some drift in the gamepad tester
Yes my unit came with uncalibrated sticks
I did the calibration procedure later and it fixed it
@@VKsChannel great
@@VKsChannel how to do the calibration ? is it will apply to every mode ? thank you
how sensitive are the analog stigs on the apex 3
About the same as the other apex 2 and vader 2 pro
The sticks uses the same part even
Look good control. But i dont like Chinese word.
They think all people can understand it
If have slider button might the best. Maybe this controller focus on pc & console player, single player or racing game. Not suite for moba since no slider button. They should remove the display which add cost to the controller that not much used for it. Or change it with slider button make perfect controller
I think the 2 is better
Now play Doom on the controller
On PC, can the buttons be remapped to keyboard keys and macros?
With ReWASD software yes
@@VKsChannel does reWASD recognize the back 4 M buttons and they can be remapped to keyboard keys as well? And with reWASD to work you need to have the USB cord plugged in yes?
A donde quiera e preguntado y nadie me da respuesta, quiero pensar que no quieren decir que si se conectara, por que a como veo es mucho mejor el apex elite 3 que cualquier mando oficial de xbox
You need an adapter to use it with the xbox
Do I need to get the rechargeable dock? Or can I just use the usb-c to charge it as well?
you can charge with a cable too
@@VKsChannel thank you for the reply ❤️ I just ordered the remote lol I’m excited ! For pubg mobile and switch lol
@@VKsChannel and also can I turn off the dyro function?
@@VKsChannel gyro*
the best controller ever so far.
hello, is the controller compatible with Microsoft consoles?? Xbox series X and S?? 🙂 Thanks
only with an adapter like the mayflash magic S ultimate
@@VKsChannel it is sure that with this usb key, it is possible to play on a series s???
@@VKsChannel there are many beautiful controllers like this!! but never an example in video for serie S or X!! do you think you could show us?
@@emmanuel_buffet there are videos of this controller working with the winbman xb from brook gaming, and mayflash magic s ultimate is also compatible with xbox so I'm sure it will work
th-cam.com/video/MQlruLL2GIQ/w-d-xo.html
@@emmanuel_buffet these controllers are rarely compatible with ps5 or xbox because those consoles have encription to block third party companies from making controllers for their console, Nintendo switch is open so that's why you see a lot of controllers compatible with the switch
in order to be compatible with xbox and Ps5 they must make an official licensed controller like the gamesir G7 SE which I'll review in the channel soon
They remove so many extra buttons.
Yeah, this just seems like a downgrade from the last one tbh
Does call of duty mobile detect it as a control
Yes
How about the battery life?
I haven't tested it but it lasts a lot!
I played with it for weeks with one charge
I'd say that the battery life is about 30/40 hours but it might change depending on the usage of the triggers
adaptive tricker it working for xbox pc game pass on PC ?
What gamepass game you want to test?
@@VKsChannel monster hunter rise. thx
time to replace my apex 2 zaku edition 😂
The apex 2 is still the best for me
@@VKsChannel i know its good.. but i cant pair to switch with it, which is a bummer. i play games on PC, emulators, switch and sometimes android if there are good games.
@@Onion_Knights the apex 2 can be used on the switch with the mayflash magic-S ultimate adapter, which I'll review soon
@@VKsChannel i have seen a dongle that do the same. but, it need to be kept connected via USB to work. its a good idea though, no need to buy another controller. will check out your review and see if its good to buy the dongle or just ditch apex 2 and go for other alternative. 👍🏻
its ey-peks not ah-peks
Puedo conectarlo a mi xbox series x?
No only with an adapter
Ojala aqui si alguien pueda aportarme algo, ya que quiero este mando para mi consola
does it work with steam deck?
Yes as long as it has windows as OS it will work
Why not?

Qual é seu celular?
this xbox controller?
pc , smartphones...maybe switch
It's not the first at all and not the only one with them ether gamesire have both hall effect sticks and the triggers im fairly sure they were the first to do both of these things facts matter when making content 👍
