he played the SFC in Sugarland last night, sold out crowd 6500+ , playing the Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston tonight. 2 night stand at the Majestic in San Antonio later in the week. Turns out he actually gives zero fucks about what people like you think, and his friends and family agree. ;)

Losing a child is, in my view, the hardest thing that a person can go through. No parent should have to arrange a memorial service for their own child. I will say this to anyone who does go through the loss of a child, or even just anyone who is fortunate enough to be able to have a child in their life, and that is to cherish the memories, the moments, the smiles and the laughter, even the poop filled diapers at 3am. Hold closely, all the blessings we're fortunate enough to receive during a child's life. My wife and I lost our first child very shortly after welcoming her to the world and to our family, and it is something that still, to this day, 23 years later, is painful. I think of her every day.. What she would be like today, what would she look like? What would she be doing with her life? What traits of her mother and what traits of her father wouls she have most strongly? Anytime I think that being a parent to the to great, miracle children whom we had to wait 15 + 17 years to welcome into this world, I don't have to think very long about the older sister that my two children you'll never good to know and that perspective is all I need to remember just how lucky I am to be solving a problem, or breaking up an argument oh, I'm getting my two kids to work together, because oh, well, with that perspective, nothing I have to deal with in raising these two kids is all that bad. I'm not even the country music fan but I am a huge Nelson fan, both my wife and I are.

Willie wrote some great songs. That's it. He's a songwriter, and sometimes he sings pretty good. As far as being an authority on anything else, his opinion is worth no more than a bag boy at Krogers. I travelled all the way from South Africa to see him. I love this man. He was the only man my husband was jealous of. Went to see him in Toronto this year . Have his book , great reading.
