Indeed, it's a really cool concept. You can even see how it's modified by the sculptors with it's two sets of teeth . The inner traditional flat toothed jaw and the outer sharp toothed jaw added as the dance became a martial art.

Their two best composers left the company by now (Yuka Kitamura, Nobuyoshi Suzuki) and Kota Hoshino wasn't allowed to write a lot of music in the past decade because Fromsoft is hell-bent on pursuing a soulless cinematic sound which doesn't leave any room for experimentation, which is probably why they completely cut ties with Motoi Sakuraba as well. The music is ironically one of the worst components of Elden Ring, and I can't agree on the developers being good anymore either with how many assets they reuse FROM their previous SOFTWARE. Even if Square Enix is a shadow of their former selves from the Squaresoft days, at least their composers are still leaps and bounds above whatever Fromsoft has been doing for like the past 6 years I'll agree the Dancing Lion theme is actually pretty good for Elden Ring standards, but it's also the only track in the entire 30+ tracks slog of the DLC that stands out.
This fight was pure epicness. Having a Faith build, it truly was a spectacle for both me and my foe to use magic while this absolute banger played. Great fight!

I just have to turn the volume up when phase to starts, and than progress it to the max until it ends, the feeling of climbing is amazing. It feels like we are dancing into the heavens. How fitting.

A lot of people don't pay attention to soundtrack, during bossfights and that's so sad I personally after hearing 2:00 part took my hands of the keyboard and my face made the expression of pure esthetic satisfaction. I have only started to play DLC, but after this moment, I understood, how good it will be. This bossfight is literally ART
i think this fight is one of the best fights of the DLC. if the lightning phase didn't cause so much visual clutter it made it hard to know what was going on it would be a top 3 imo

This boss was 100% put near the start to REALLY get players into the DLC, I'm barely into the DLC and this boss is already top 5 overall (full game) in my opinion.

But I also really love how they have the little Eastern-Chinese tones going on because the Divine Beast is inspired by the Eastern dancing lions. They've always been cool to me irl, and they continue to be cool in this game too.
