@@EllaKarhu Fr, it's crazy how I had a discourse with someone who saw me use some spell combos to stance break a boss, like Greatblade Phalanx + A few shard spiral casts then walking into melee with a good poise aoe, then used Ranni's Dark Moon as an extended jump to avoid some ground attacks while also doing dmg/debuffing, and they were like "you robbed yourself of the experience by using sorceries" , not even knowing what any of those spells do. I was at a loss of words.

This fight was honestly fromsoftware just flexing how creative and breathtaking their best work can be. I know people complain about this fight, but bro this is seriously amazing design. One of their best ever.
Even from a lore perspective, using literal sculpted bodies possessing aspects of the crucible to channel the spirit of a divine beast is such an sick way to keep up the fromsoft classic of "fighting gods who have been weakened from their former glory" in a unique way.
It just occurred to me why I love watching Ongbal's boss fights so much. It's because he allows the boss to showcase their moveset and he planned the fights accordingly. The whole thing looks like a dance. Choreographed into perfection. Ongbal is truly a master
The DLC adds in so many showy & acrobatic ashes & spells, and you always do a great job at showcasing them. Seeing one all around the Scarlet Rot like this is SUPER satisfying!

Gotta love and respect how many different things are utilized in those fights. Different weapons with their ashes of war, different spells, even Scarlet Aeonia, parrying with carian retaliation out of fucking nowhere. All of these things have a role for the fight and a purpose with the timing when best used. I've only seen some of these fights randomly pop up on TH-cam until now, but after seeing this beautiful way of beating the Lion, one of the few bosses thats still giving me trouble, done no hit, i'm gonna sub. I need to see more of these builds in action and maybe i'll learn some things from them as well. Amazing video

When you used Romina's AOW to avoid the lightning spin, I smiled. When you casually pulled out the Carian Retaliation to parry the lightning, I straight up started laughing, I got so hype. You truly are the master.
It's one thing to be able to fight the bosses and defeat them without taking a hit. Ongbal however always seems to take it several notches further, not only showing off their skill but also their ability to fight while making the entire fight an enjoyable visual spectacle. Never ceases to impress me how amazing this guy/gal is at souls games.
There's a type of souls player I like to name the "warrior artist." These are the players who not only play well, but also play beautifully. They have a creavity talent that can convert a boss fight in a dance, something wonderful to see, as a ballet or a painting in motion.
He has such a great understanding of hitboxes, remembering movesets , huge overview of placing/ setting of arena ..and the usage of different builds combined and using strats to work around getting hit, puh.. that guy is unreal.. the radahn bow only fight is probably the most stunning fight I’ve ever seen
Truly Magnificent. it was like you picked out every weapon and skill that i loved to look at but couldn't make work in a fight, and specifically turned their quirks into a personal advantage. Prolly the most "skilled" and beautiful elden ring fights I've ever seen.
This was fantastic, I play elden ring for the fantastic bosses and all the effort FS takes to create fantastic boss fights and this DLC delivered in every regard, sadly up until now I only found those "one shot every boss" and bleed meme builds that end the bosses in 30 seconds videos so I wasnt able to relieve my favorites or show them to others like I wanted too. Thank you for making them justice.
I still think this is one of the most beautiful fights fromsoft has ever made. Just the sheer detail of the animations and nusic and the intro and uhhfhf. Its def my favorite since most of bloodborne's fights for sure
I love the creativity that goes into weaving different skills and attacks into your fights. I also always learn something about how to fight the boss that I never knew before - it blew my mind when you dodges the Lion's aerial spin attack just by running. I'm excited to try that next time I fight it.
The fluid movement from both Ongbal and the Lion, partnered with the amazing OST. The variety of weapon and weapon arts used by Ongbal and the control of the weather from the Lion makes it feel like a crazy theatre performance. This is a certifed Realm of Shadow classic.
