Total newbie trying to figure out how to upgrade her Graphics. This video was very helpful. It's basically a bit more work than upgrading RAM, with the addition of uninstalling old drivers and installing new ones - the tips about where exactly to get the drivers and how to best dispose of the included drivers CD was especially good and appreciated. I now know know what things I should look out for when chosing a GPU (size of GPU and PC case, power supply requirements) and know what to expect when removing the old one and installing a new one. What's with the hate? When I built my PC for the first time, I was scared of damaging the "connector" when trying to install my GTX 970. I had to exert more force onto the card and that made me scared of breaking the damn end of the connector (when inserting it into the PCI-e slot)
+Call Me Infinity i still feel nervous when pluging the 24pin atx, motherboards alway make a crack sound like ''fuuuck it will break!!'', after years building computers... still bothers me
+Call Me Infinity the reason why there is so much "hate" towards this video is because it does not fit the theme of the channel. When people go to linustechtips expecting interesting content like scrapyard wars and build logs daily, and then get handed this video, it can feel like a bit of a ripoff. Yes, it is true that this content would be helpful to some people, but the regular viewer on ltt is not part of that group. This video was actually helpful....
And the pipe wrench.
really is this what this channel is turning into??
+Amir M'Saad this could lead to more ignorant console gamers to observe that pc gaming is not complicated.
+thewhitewolf this channel used to be trying to fit pc's into a bomb, 7 gamers 1 CPU something you won't find in other channels
+Amir M'Saad Sadly, it appears to be so. This video specifically isn't that bad, but the trend is very disappointing.
+Soupreme Compounder I feel like this channel is dying they need scrapyard wars season 4 to keep the hype :p
+Amir M'Saad It's not turning into anything. There are people out there who have no idea how to build a PC.
You forgot the biggest step. Throw eggs at it

Just ordered a 1080ti, this video was super helpful, thank you! Feel much more confident installing it myself now.
don't forget the thermal paste in the pcie slot don't want your GPU to overheat
+GamingSoup You are not a good person.
+tSp289 kool
+GamingSoup Instructions not clear i put it in my asshole now im always cold!!!
damn it well did you add the thermal past to the PSU and to all of the usb ports?
lol
Switching out my gtx 950 to an rx 480 was amazing and I'm loving the large frame boost, although my pci e slot didn't come with any form of a clip, weird.
After building for so long, I just dont have any fucks left to give haha. "Oh, ram's not going in well?" *CRAMMM* *SNAP* there. Good to go haha.
Seriously though, this shit is tougher than it appears (in most cases), and it takes a LOT of effort to physically damage a component. Installing your cpu should be the only part that makes you sweat, because if you bend a pin......
Thank you so much! Managed to pop in my gtx 560 Ti easily with this :D
You know, it's funny, they finally first the first time in a while actually do a video guide for newbs, AKA a TECH TIP and people bitch and moan in the comments since most of us could do this in our sleep (myself included), like he said at the beginning, not everyone has our level of experience.
Me: Going from Intel HD
to 1660 super
Also Me: Which dimension is this?

I installed a Diamond Radeon HD 6450 into my completely bone stock Dell Inspiron 545 with a 300 Watt power supply. It fit snug and everything. But it makes noises and when I diagnose my computers performance, it show 1.0 for computer graphics. I also installed a driver that WINDOWS found for me. What do I do?
go to AMD's website and download the latest driver for your 6450.
Thanks for the sweet vid, I had no idea how to install my GTX 1050ti until I watched this video!
