Finally released from quarantine, Mel and Mo finally head to Mel's dad house to introduce Mo and visit her father. During this time we get a chance to explore the Barbados culture all while getting our THIRD covid test in less than a week. Catch this unique episode as we have fun and enjoy the vibe of Barbados.

Humid climates and shaking the salt shaker over hot and steamy pots gets the salt wet, the grains of salt clump together and won’t fit through the holes.
Yup. We do this down south (US) too. Just not as much as that usually!

Dear Mel & Mo, you know what, I have been sad for many years just because of the attitude of some of my relatives and friends. They are arrogant, selfish, sarcastic talks etc. But Almighty God saw my heart and heard my inner cry and he lead me directly to this video. This driver is very spiritual, positive, energetic, happy man. His wisdom is great! Thank you bro and Mo. We should find happiness from within ourself. Also…this is hilarious. My fiancé is trini. He tries to teach me, but Issa struggle. We were eating tomato choka recently and I asked him how to say salt fish and buljul. He was patient, but the look on his face was like 🤔 LMAO! I was trying. He kept saying: “oh gosh, woman, trinis sing when we speak. Look at muh mouf-Saul fish and buljul”.
I can’t wait until we visit Trinidad without paying an arm and a leg to quarantine in a hotel.
Oh yeah, the salt with rice helps keep the moisture out. Otherwise, the metal top would be lined with rust.

Two things:
1) anyone else notice Mel’s accent get thicker the longer she was there? 🥰 -not surprising at all tho; whenever I visit my in-laws in the Bahamas, I develop an accent 🤷🏽♀️)
2) the rice in the salt shaker keeps the humidity from clumping the salt. (I’m from the Midwest- humidity central!! Lol Family taught me that when I was a kid ☺️)

That driver is 100% spot on… we have a society now of unhappy people, partly its social media FB, Instagram, Twitter are making people deeply unhappy to outright nut cases. However we can’t just blame social media, we have to take individual responsibility and STOP blaming everything on other people, we need to stop listening to politicians who are mostly negative and feeding peoples blame game.

The rice is put in the salt shaker to absorb moisture so that the salt is dry especially during rainy reason when it's humid or summer too
