- Found this TINY creek on Google maps and decided to give it a try! I did some MICRO fishing and was able to catch a decent amount of fish. I caught 3 different species. One species I had never caught before! I love exploring tiny creeks! You never know what you're going to find. Micro fishing in tiny creeks is a blast!

I used to have a stream a little smaller than that close to my house, there used to be chubs and tiny catfish in it. But in the last few years it dried up...

Those creek chubs were some type of shiner (most of them)
And that fish at 6:08 is a creek chub sucker I believe

What makes you choose the clear/blue fluorescent over the clear line? When you're fishing spinners (rooster tails) in those creeks are you using 1/16th oz?
It was on sale LOL that was literally the only reason I got it. I like clear the most. I use 1/8 oz Rooster Tail spinners.

The reel you have will that work for bass too or is it too small/light of a reel
I wouldn't use it for Bass unless they're really small. Like in creeks/streams. Okuma makes this reel in different sizes. You can get a bigger one if you want one for Bass fishing.

Hey brother, what type of fish was it that you caught after you caught that tiny bluegill? I caught one just like it last week, fishing over in Happy Creek, in Front Royal. It has a little black dot next to its gill. Don’t know if that’s a disease or just part of the fish. I’ve been trying to identify it. It’s definitely a sunfish of some sort.
Not exactly sure. Definitely some type of Bluegill/Sunfish. Really pretty colors. I think it's a Green Sunfish.

Why kill innocent critters underneath stones? Use Berkley plastic maggots. They work well for micro fishing.
