that little fish you caught at about 3:30 is a red shiner, i believe. I think that's what most of them little cyprinids you caught were. Hard to tell from a video though. But awesome fun little video man! I loved watching it!

Cooper Folmer I saw some of those today and I was wondering what they were.
All those "try not to laugh" or "try not to smile" - no problem for me. This video however just put a big ol smile on my face and I had to break out in a subtle laugh. This is just fishing for the joy of fishing and it makes me so happy.
A micro rod and reel would have made this experience so much more enjoyable!

Was micro fishing one day and caught a 30 inch rainbow trout. No kidding 13 pounds on him.
I don't know why but your videos just calm me down they are so peaceful and relaxing, maybe it's the music or just how it's not a bunch of guys screaming and laughing at each other. (Googan squad)

When I was a kid I would use a micro hook and clam belly to catch spearing at a local saltwater creek .....lots of fun!!!! Of course I used really lightweight tackle so the fish could be felt ........

I was fishing a hot water runoff from a power plant once... using just a tiny hook and piece of worm, and I landed a 12lbs channel catfish!

I love it when people say their is no fish in a very small stream but seems I catch them.
Looks like a smallmouth creek, hook up a shiner. The creeks this size in NW Indiana and Michigan have Steelhead, Coho and big cats in them. They are stocked and go into lake Mich. in the summer months then come back.

It always amazes me how different bobber fishing (what we call float fishing) is over there in the US compared to over here in the UK.

I remember when I first caught a "Green Sunfish". This was back before the internet, so I had no way of researching them. I didn't know if it was a new species that was cross-bred with a Bass or a Cichlid, then let go in the lakes. I still think they are the coolest looking Sunfish, and they look really neat in a fish tank. They remind me of the "Jack Dempsey Cichlid" from South America.
That's exactly how I felt when I first caught one. No idea what it was, but the colors were amazing!
618 Fishing Yeah, they also had those big lips like a Bass, and the only fish I could think of that resembled them was a "Jack Dempsey". They are really cool looking fish.

You have the highest quality most entertaining fishing videos on TH-cam. I can't relate to deep sea fishing like blacktiph and other bass fishing channels are just annoying too much talking or they feel like watching a commercial. your content is spot on keep doing what you're doing

I went on a holiday at a holiday house on a rock beach with tones of tide pools and I found a baby salmon literally this big ------------- and I caught it with my hands and now it's in my small reef aquarium and it's now been 7 months and it's this big -------------------------------------------------------------- it loves the other fish and loves me usually I go micro fishing to catch some live bait but something told me this one was special so I keeped it and it's super super healthy

Kinda late in the game, but the little shiny fish were Red Shiners (Cyprinella lutrensis).

2 things:
1.) If this is the only size fish that are biting, I'd be happy to catch those all day.
2.) In a survival situation, you'd be thrilled to be catching these "monsters" all day long.

Swift lil bit of water there. I fish a creek about that size. 1/4 mile down it dumps in the mississippi (south western 618) great video!

You'd probably enjoy setting up a native fish aquarium. I kept Bluegills and Sunfish caught in small pools. A lot of personality. Get yourself a 50 gallon (minimum) aquarium from a garage sale or the like. Read up on filtration before taking the plunge., Don't keep too many in the tank (pollution).
