Nice one Nev , it’s been a while since we have seen some squid fishing don’t know what it is but these vids seem to make me relax & d stress so easy, next clear day you do a squid session maybe throw up the drone maybe we might see the squid in action like the flaties even tho it’s a bit deeper the water seems pretty clear.
A must go spot you should try for squid at is that little jetty next to the Cowes boat ramp. The new one that just got renovated. If you go in the time frame from (8:00 pm - 10:00) you will catch some nice squid. 👍

Ye nice day out for squid nev I saw you yesterday at western port bay and their was heaps of busy ups so we got a heap of salmon and big slimeys but we tried for kingys at the pryamid out of the bay but no luck but some other people where catching then out at boy 15 as soon as that storm hit

Mate, look up prices first and brands last, most come from the same factory anyway. First you need to decide if it is sit on or sit in, length, rudder, pedals or paddles, and what it is made from.
Second hand hobies are best budget probably

It’s harder to keep jigs in contact with the bottom
I'm not so sure they would all end up as bait. Nice bag all the same. Cannot wait to see what those squid will catch.

With squidding at night what's your go to jig? Red or glow? Does glow make it easier for the squid to see or just the angler? Had both answers. Unsure if it's worth glowing my jig every cast with a white jig or just run a red foil/cloth with no glow.
Red and whites are always good, haven't done a heap of night squidding myself

Awesome. Do you prefer to drift or anchor up when chasing squid?
U drift to cover ground and then mark on your gps when you catch one and then re drift over that patch once u finish ur drift because each day the squid are normally sitting in a diffrent area of the weedbed
Sure was a foggy day,at one stage I couldn't see the shore and I didn't know which direction to peddle back to the land lol. I killed em yesterday too ( the other compass kayaker)
