    Thank for the video. I have a 2005 mini R50 that I was cleaning the inside out and must have knocked the seat airbag connector and the blue connector was not fully in. Now my car will turn over but not start do I need to get this fault cleared to be able to start the car. I just want to know before I ask my garage to come out with the OBD unit.

    hello if i unplug the dash airbag and use a resistor will this work like the ones for the seat belts?
    i have a R53 2003 the air bag in the dash was deployed as was the drivers seat side bag and the tensioners as well.
    so im going to give this resistor idea a try . thanks the video was a great help.

    Hi! I have this error code on mini cooper r50 2002: "driver's belt tensioner, resistance too high". With this resistance of 2.2 would it be fixed? I really like your channel good material friend.

    Great video, would one recommend a good device for reading and fixing the codes?

    Hello, I have a 2003 mini r53 and it shows me a seat belt driver lock code, I haven't been able to solve it, do you know something about it?

    My '09 R55 has been doing this too. Just started a month or so ago. Would this be the same fix, or is there anything different about it?

      The R55 is essentially the same in principal however you need to have the fault codes checked first, if you have either pre tensioner or seat airbag codes this will rectify if otherwise let us know and I’ll guide you. Thanks mini gurus .

      Sorry for the late reply I believe it is but not 100 percent sure without checking it won’t harm trying the resistors are cheap too.

    What code readers wilm reset this light? My mechanic says his tool doesn't read or reset the airbag system codes.

      All professional diagnostic tools will reset a mini airbag light if the fault was repaired. Personally I use a snap on solus ultra mostly but have also got a Autologic. Hope this helps.

    hi, is the airbag still functional after this repair?

    • @theminigurus4299
      @theminigurus4299  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No unfortunately not, as explained the correct repair would be to replace the airbag or seat. It’s just to remove the light.
