Yeah, it is like it still existed but since it isn't having to wrap it in the HDMI format the breakup was more just pixel speckles than chunks when it happened. I bet these are gonna be one heck of a goggle for you Bot since you have been all about that analog life, lol.
Thank you for sending me here! I was scrolling my feed and would have seen it eventually, but your post lured me in!! This made up my mind of my future goggle endeavor! Hdzero it is!!
Well thank you! :) I don't see myself up there with those guys, lol...they are pretty darn awesome. Also, you should absolutely fly quads! You already have the FPV part down, and if you can fly a plane you can for sure fly a quad.
Fantastic review brother! Mine are being delivered today! I can't wait to experience them and put out some content as well. Really looking forward to getting home today lol 😆 🤟👏👏🙌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 The best goggle for the community by the community!
idk how you are going to get through the work day knowing them goggles are sitting on your door step! lol. They are absolutely for pilots by pilots, and there aren't many things we can say that about in FPV.
Great Video!! , I just ordered the goggles minutes ago with an Expansion module and Nano 90 Camera. Have been a big supporter of HDZero since the original Sharkbye VRX. I think HDZero is the hands-down best solution for racers. I also ordered the walksnail VRX and still waiting for that to arrive. I hope to use the HDZero goggle for all 3 systems (Analog, HDZero and Walksnail). Would love to see videos from you showing how well HDZero goggles work with walksnail VRX.
Thank you!! I agree, there isn't a better option out there for racing and these goggles make that experience even better. I am crossing my fingers that I get to borrow a Walksnail VRX before I have to send these back so I can try it out in that configuration! I think it is hands down the best way to go if you don't live strictly in the DJI ecosystem.
Bacon Ninja, Great break down and education. Hope all is good. Keep it up and thanks. I am using HDO but this may be the year i upgrade. Been waiting to see what comes out.🙂
Well, there goes my new year resolution to spend less on FPV, may as well eat a jelly filled donut too 🤣. Great review BN! There is seriously no end to Carl's genius, both as an engineer and an entrepreneur.
Straight out the window....go get your doughnut my friend! lolol. Carl just cares so much, which is such a difference to what we see from most other manufacturers.
They sure are, and that is much better than they were on the VRX models. I remember feeling like I was going to break those things off a few times, lol.
@@BaconNinjaFPV i actually broke mine. i purchased a second hand unit and your video came out a day later. So now I'll have a spare VRX for my boys when the goggles arrive. 😀
They are honestly so good! The system options it makes available, combined with what the open source community can do with them...just hands down the best way to go if you don't fly exclusively DJI quads.
Thank you!!! I know it is hard to sit through 30 minutes of me rambling on about a bunch of random specifications and my time with them, lol. I really appreciate you sticking with it!
They are a great option that will last you a really long time...not the cheapest beginner option, but if you only want to buy one set one time then these are the ones to do it with. You will also need an Immersion RC rapidfire module or TBS fusion module if you want to go analog, but that combined with these goggles is as good as an analog system gets. There is always the other option of picking up a quad with HDZero in it since they make quite a few bind and fly options now, which wouldn't require anything extra except 4 right hand polarized antennas.
I’ll consider that when I’m ready for a quad. Thanks for the reply. Not so many are replying as you did. . Nice review and very compelling product! So compelling that I just preordered the freestyle bundle. So far you've been very influential in my purchase of the awesome and incredibly good flying Quadmula Siren F5 (just got back from flying) and now your review is wholly responsible for further emptying my wallet. Thank you I suppose. 🙂They should be here in time for my birthday, probably about when my Goggles 2 will arrive it seems. 😞
Heyyyyy! Glad you are enjoying the Quadmula, and I think you are really going to like those goggles. I spent quite a while trying to find something I didn't like about them just to balance out the opinions...but I couldn't find anything, lol. I didn't mean to empty your wallet, but at least you got some awesome gear for your money :p
They are sure making some great moves this year, and it will be interesting to see how 2023 plays out for them. Thank you as always for checking it out!
great review...i sure wish i would have known this a few months ago..i thought i got a good deal on my o4x for 425$ but not sure now. i would have waited...
Yeah man...nobody saw this price drop coming and I think a ton of pilots may have made different decisions if they had known back in November. I think Carl set the original price based on the production cost and how much it would take to keep producing. I think they looked at the numbers from that first run and decided they could do it at this price point, which is kinda crazy since these can't be cheap goggles to produce. I was honestly blown away when I heard what they were going to do on these!
i havent been having much luck lately with my quad, i put a new stack in it and plugged the cable from the esc to the fc in backwards and now the esc is dead lol then i got an aio that was doa, and my franken-whoop has had a motor screw de thread itself so im on 2/3 screws on that motor and no idea how good or bad the remaining are because it dropped 1 screw and came loose the shaking pulled the thread out of the second, so who knows how much life i can get out of that, but once thats dead its game over for like a month before i can afford to buy another flight controller and esc for my crux35, trying not to get discouraged too much as i do love flying, hopefully if i can get a couple of months relativly trouble free i might be able to afford to upgrade to hdzero, by far im more interested in hd zero than the other hd options because their business practices, but first i just need to not f up my next install, i have a spare set of motors and a spare frame just need electronics, i did have lined up to have a good stack and a backup cheap aio, but that fell through and its all on paypal pay in 4 fortnights so yeah, its going to take a few weeks to get on top of everything, and by then chineese new year will be in full swing and i wont be able to get anything locally because stock sucks nor from china because cny
Nothing worse than broken parts being replaced by parts that never stood a chance :( I hope you can get those couple of months too and stay in the air! Paypal pay in 4 has saved my life......and ruined it, lol
Thank you!! They really are good...I tried really hard to find something I didn't like about them, but just couldnt, lol. For pilots not living in the DJI world, they are hands down the best option. I am still going to fly everything though, because I just want to be in the air no matter what it looks like :p
HDZero coming out and complicating things, I'd already settled on the DJI O3 system. But HDZero put together a pretty juicy package. I think DJI is still the system for me, because I value goggle image quality highly. Need to think on this. I am curious what the latency for HDZero is with 1080p video, I think the "3ms" is with the lower resolution/higher framerate.
lol, yeah a ton of things have been making the "which digital system do I want to dump a ton of money on" decision much harder lately! So here is my take on it. HDZero at 1080p will be noticeably better than it is today at 720p, but it still wont be as good as DJI in 50mbps mode. Since HDZ is only ever using a single channel, it can only carry so much and it can't do re-transmissions to get the best quality. Now where it will have a leg up is that it can give you that slightly less than DJI resolution feed with no variance in the latency. It will be a little higher latency than what we see with current HDZero, but still less than DJI half the time and it won't wiggle around with it like DJI does. Everything is a trade off, and that makes these decisions even harder!
Well, it's 3ms to first pixel - not full frame. I think it remains at 3ms no matter the resolution/framerate. The full frame latency gets higher as you go to the lower framerates though - I think 14ms for 540p90 (faster than even many analog systems) but 37ms for 1080p30. But one thing to remember when comparing latencies is that both Walksnail & DJI don't seem to be that accurate about their latencies - I've seen WS say something like 40ms latency when (because of interference) the entire frame was stuttering so much that there can't have been more than 3 frames shown per second, which means it's definitely at least 333 ms latency at that point... And when people are doing "bench tests" of HDZero, WS & DJI's latencies, they're comparing WS & DJI's best case scenario (no interference, minimal video movement which the h264/5 codecs are great at) with HDZero's worst case.
well, both are great goggles! The total cost of ownership on the Skyzones is going to be quite a bit cheaper if you are planning on doing mostly analog for your indoor whooping. With the HDZ goggles you will need the goggles themselves, an analog bay to put on them, and an analog receiver. Doing that will mean adding about $120 to the cost on top of the goggles. Now if you plan on doing anything with HDZ digital in your tiny whoops, then the HDZ goggles are totally worth the extra cost of adding analog to them to be able to run both systems! As far as video quality, both are going to be OLED and both are going to be close in the field of view, so it really comes down to how many systems you plan on running long term :)
Out of the box they will only work with the HDZero system unfortunately. They do fully support all of the modes of the WalkSnail VRX though, which makes them the only goggle to do so. Other goggle options don't have the high frame rate capabilities and limit you to the lowest one offered on the WS VRX.
Just one thing, the firmware isn't actually fully open-source. Only the main "app" is. The operating system seems to be a Linux fork which is partially open-source but some critical parts are not...
Yeah it seems like the linux distro is BSD based and the whole HDZ goggle project is published under the MIT license. I don't see any references to closed source components, but I would for sure have to dig into what BSD has packed in it to be sure.
@@BaconNinjaFPV The HDZ goggle project is just the "app". The Linux base isn't published by HDZ at all... Eg. when you compile the code, you just get the HDZERO_GOGGLE-x-x-x.bin file. The HDZG_BOOT.bin and the HDZG_OS.bin files aren't compiled from that source at all.
Definitely want the HDZero goggles... but what to do with my only 1 year old SkyZone 04X? And how to explain to the wife why I need brand new goggles??? Ugh.
Could you please suggest some batteries for these goggles? What size is the barrel connector? And is 2S enough or would 3-5S be a better choice to avoid running low on voltage?
Sure! On the barrel connector, it does come with a barrel to XT60 adapter in the box so I would stick with that one at first. If you need something else for a cable, I believe it is a 5.5mm barrel with the center pin positive. That is a fairly standard size and configuration for FPV goggles, so there are a ton of options out there for it. When it comes to batteries, you can run 2S and I have done that. I do feel like it is more efficient to run something like a 4S though since it will be less amp draw to power the goggles. I would go with a fairly basic 4S LiPo in the 1100mah to 1500mah range. That should get you at least 90 minutes of continuous run out of the goggles. Don't worry too much about the C rating on that battery either as almost any LiPo will have enough amps to power these at 4S voltage.
Hi, how are sales outside the US? I'm in Brazil and here things are a little difficult, because our currency is much weaker than the dollar. and customs loves DHL, 100% sure you will have to pay tax and it is very high. in the end the glasses will be close to $870 here. Unlike shipped from China and by Post Office Standard Shipping, lower shipping, lower declaration and less tax. when will it be on sale for a fair price on alliexpress or bangood?
So as best I can tell, if you order from outside of the US they will ship from the China warehouse. Maybe that will help get around all of the import taxes since it won't come from the US? Also as far as I can tell, this price is only going to happen through HDZero directly and not through any other distribution methods :(
The only thing I'm skeptical is about is that Carl is open about selling hd zero and just producing the chips from my understanding. So a new owner could and would most likely come in a change everything to be more profit focused.
His plan is for many vendors to make them, hence the open source. All of the other options are closed and ringfenced, and they own the chips and aren't selling them. So a hypothetical new owner of what? One goggle manufacturer?
I think what he really wants to do is sell the silicon to manufacturers who want to make their own HDZero compatible products. I don't see a point where HDZero its self is gone completely, but rather a scenario in which they produce a line of products and so do lots of other manufacturers. Also with these goggles being open source for not only the firmware but the industrial design as well, even if something did happen to HDZero and all they ever sold was chips, someone could still produce them and the open source project running on them would continue without skipping a beat.
Yeah these are the best bet for anyone not living in the DJI ecosystem, or even those of us who just live in every ecosystem, lol. What I really like is being able to pack these in my bag and run 3 different systems without packing more than one set.
You didnt get a bad deal, the Skyzone O4X are terrific goggles! Nobody saw this one coming, and if people had then they may have made some different decisions about recent purchases for sure. Now I will say, these goggles are better...by far, but nothing wrong with rocking those Skyzones at all.
That’s so freaking cheap, to bad my wallet is not agreeing with me to release money 😅still I love to get one. Another great review again bro. Stay safe
ok, here is what you do....take your wallet, get a crow bar, insert the tip of the crow bar between the folds of the wallet, apply firm pressure until it cracks open like a clam, extract the money carefully, then throw the money at HDZero :p But seriously, I still can't afford them either :( lol...it is a shared pain my friend!
They are primarily digital goggles for the HDZero system, but they do have the option of adding on a separate, and not included, analog receiver and bay to use them for analog. On top of that, they have an HDMI input with the correct specs for running a second digital system on them via the Walksnail VRX. The only system these wont cover with optional components is DJI.
That was true when people first started getting their pre orders. Nobody anticipated that walksnail would use 100hz instead of 120hz...but the open source devs went to work on that quick and added a compatible 100hz mode for it :)
Any of the mentioned competitors paird with Walksnail wtx will beat the HDzero system, granted, the HDzero goggles will beat the competitors paired with the Walksnail wtx, since I don't like dangling cables and strap-on:s I went with dedicated Walksnail goggle.
True, any of those others with the WS VRX at 1080p can beat the HDZero system when it comes to resolution hands down. It all just depends on what you are looking for in a system I suppose, and lots of people are looking for the best resolution they can get. I agree with the dangling cables bit, lol. I tend to use the HDZero 90 degree HDMI cables so that nothing dangles, but a dedicated set of goggles is always nice for it too if that is what you are after.
On paper this system costs way less than DJI when you factor in the VTX options. BUT... The plethora of options, adapters, modules etc that these HDZero goggles enable I think will end up costing me more in the long run. It's a psychological thing. The costs for me would creep up with this system as I would justify "just that one extra module". I don't own DJI but because of the closed ecosystem, I'll actually be forced to just stick with what I got and refrain from making further purchases. It's easier psychologically to justify lots of small costs than it is to justify one big cost. In the end, it's the small costs for me personally that will be my undoing XD
I feel like this is a suuuuper insightful way to look at it, and you aren't wrong at all. It is always "oh i wonder if that antenna is better", or "this analog module might give me a better lock"...it does add up. All trade offs of compatibility I suppose. The small things are my undoing as well, lol.
I don't like the dji company. I don't refuse to use them, but I'd rather not. All digital is a lot of dough to get into. I am flying fatsharks now, non oled. I want to go digital and still have analog for my whoops. But I have my current Google for analog so whatever. My question is, can I pull the trigger on the hdzero Goggles and freestyle vtx with having never tried dji and not worry that I am missing something? I need prescription lenses, +6 with astigmatism. Thank you
I don't think you are alone in not preferring DJI...and I would say most of the reasons I have seen are totally valid. I am just going to give you my honest opinion from my experience going from analog to hdz then adding in DJI way later. I think you wont miss anything if you never flew DJI in the first place. Now that I fly both of them, I do see the appeal, but honestly I still love flying HDZero when I fly it. I am not all that picky about image quality though, and if you are really big on image quality then nothing can beat DJI at the moment. As for your lens corrections, I am about in the same spot you are. I have about that much prescription and a severe astigmatism in each eye. I can get everything in focus just fine, but there is a slight blur around edges to the far left and right due to my egg shaped eyes. It isn't anything I can't adjust to, but it isn't the best it could be. Good news though is that you can get a set of diopter lenses made with your prescription and correct it in these goggles...although I hear they arent cheap to have made.
@Bacon Ninja FPV awesome thank you for the big reply! It seems like hdzero will keep pushing forward with development, which gives me confidence. Everyone likes a nice picture, but yeah, I don't need it. It's more the breakup/range. When I say range I just mean a feeling of confidence in flying around a house, bleechers, a large property, whatever. I'm not going far, but the analog breakup is really rattling to me. I have elrs and no ability to use it in any way with my current vtx range. so I had diopters made for my fatsharks and it was like a kid a Christmas. I don't mind the money because it's not a cost I have to pay right away. The fact that the hdz goggles goes up to plus 6 is awesome and may be enough. My astigmatism is pretty crazy as well, but not extreme. I wear my glasses 100 percent of every waking moment. Like to get water in the middle of the night. I was excited about the goggles 2 even though I didn't want to be, but the more I watch, it seems like beyond the great video link tech, the goggles actually have some issues of their own. I may just pull the trigger on the bundle for hdz. I can write some pretty cool stuff for them. If they run Linux I bet I can come up with some awesome stuff. I've been looking for a side by side talk from your channel. It's not needed, but I think it'd get a lot of views. Thank you so much. I'll post back when I do something :)
Dammit Bacon.... here comes another FPV $ related argument with the wife. She just started talking to me again too. When @BOTGRINDER said he like them i knew i had to look into these.
I find that the way to know your wife truly cares for you is to see how upset she can get at you. If she isn't mad at you for things, then she just doesn't care enough to have a personal investment in your activities. The fact that she is throwing plates, chairs, bottles...all good things. Just keep telling yourself this over and over until it all feels better :p
600 gang, and I would have payed $1000, they are sooooo far above everything else it’s silly. I thought the G2 looked nice… this just puts it to shame, in basically every metric. It’s soooo much faster, and with the Runcam90, it’s just ridiculous how good the flight feel is!
They absolutely did kill it with these. I know they had a ton of hype before release, and being a first gen product nobody was quite sure what to expect, but they did a great job. Sounds like you get to pick up a little more HDZ gear with that credit man!
@@TheCivildecay no it doesn’t, the DVR is not a priority on the system, but in goggle and in motion it is a good image, and my favourite system to fly. Chose what you need. All the systems are VERY different, in flight feel, and are useful for different things. I personally run HDZero, Avatar, and analog. And am happy with all of them, for their own individual reasons. I used to use DJI O3 but gave up on it due to all the antisocial issues, but picture quality is great on that system… if you are into that sort of thing.
I have the old hdzero with sharkbyte googles the only proble is that even with 1W after small obstacles the picture is sometimes full away so that i not trust this system to fly too far aẃay or behind obstacles but all all i like it very much...
I agree that with my Freestyle VTX's I haven't had as good of range and penetration as I have gotten out of 1W analog modules and DJI units. I tend to stay closer with HDZero than I do with other systems, and think more about what I am dropping into before i do it for sure. I will say though, the breakup still exists the same in these goggles but it feels like it is less noticeable. Maybe it is from not having to comply with the HDMI standard, or maybe it is just timing, but it feels like the speckles aren't around for as long an they are smaller than they are in my other HDZ VRX setup.
I bet you will really enjoy them! At this price, I don't see how anyone would pick FatShark or Orqa. I could still see some people choosing Skyzone since they come with a module, but even then some people wind up getting a rapidfire for their Skyzones...so idk.
someone should call HDZero/Divimath and ask them "have you ever built a long range quad ?" probably not otherwise they would've known by now that the MIPI cable length options they came up with are pretty much useless. Everybody knows that for standard 6-7inch long range quad the golden standard is 150mm cable (unless they've been sleeping under the rock ever since the introduction of DJI air unit). I mean they are offering 40, 80, 120mm then nothing, nothing nothing and 250mm, seriously ? 120mm is never enough for a long range quad unless you place the VTX on the FC stack (bad idea) and 250mm is stupidly long, what are you going to do with all the excess cable, wrap it few times around the arm ? I mean if they came up with the 40mm increments why not continue with 160mm, 200mm and would cover 100% of the market needs.
I think there are a whole bunch of pilots who are thinking the exact same thing. I will make sure that I give Carl that feedback because I totally agree with you on needing options between the top two!
The current price is $599 USD, but when this video released HDZero announced it at a reduced price of $495 USD. Unfortunately on launch day they decided to make that price point temporary, which was not in any of the initial information we received for the price reduction prior to launch. As of early February, they went back up to $599 :(
@@BaconNinjaFPV ok thank you, than i think i will buy dji v2, there is no more choice cheap and digital. I will never pay crazy 600 usd to hdzero, never
@@doitchannel67 The DJI v2 goggles are for sure the cheapest goggle with built in digital at the moment. I have a pair that I run daily and they are a great choice!
Yeah, that does appear to be the case at the moment. I was a little confused by that part of the announcement on the Facebook page since there was no mention of a time limit in the embargo info I got. I am not quite sure what plans are for past that point...but hopefully I can get some clarification on it and update this.
So on that expansion analog module that you need... "A known problem bla bla unit shuts down.. fixed in the next batch" so, folks should not buy then until that small detail is fixed. That kinda put me off.
I think I know the one you are talking about with the power on that analog bay, but lemme know if I have the wrong one. The power issue isn't that it shuts down unexpectedly, just that it doesn't shut the analog module down when you have a different input selected. More of a battery savings thing than anything really. I think the plan is in the V2 module, which will have the wifi n' things, they are going to add a relay to that servicing board to shut the power down when you don't have it selected. Not ideal, I know. Is that the issue you were referencing?
@@BaconNinjaFPV yes and that alone is reason enough to wait. Why would you buy ANYTHING that has an issue when the fix is coming in a later release? (supposedly). For sure I’ll hold on to my DJI stuff until this stuff is mature and not risk having a brick. No offense but, this looks half baked/rushed (at least this part which most folks will depend on for sure).
"Didnt feel as critical" is a good way to put it, i also did not feel limited by the video unless i had alot of stuff in between me and the quad.
Yeah, it is like it still existed but since it isn't having to wrap it in the HDMI format the breakup was more just pixel speckles than chunks when it happened. I bet these are gonna be one heck of a goggle for you Bot since you have been all about that analog life, lol.

@@BaconNinjaFPV enjoyed every minute, lots of interesting stuff for sure
I been trying to get into fpv and contemplating on which goggles to use. This might be the winner. Thanks
Not so many are replying as you did. . Also me: *looking through Zenni glasses at my wall of drones also*
lol, hey I didn't say why I couldn't afford nice glasses.....but i think you and I are on the same page about it :p
@@BaconNinjaFPV Ha! No problem. I spend money on FPV like a drunken sailor at port.
Moving forward - my money is on HDZero. Thanks for a great review. Stay greasy MBN!
They look fantastic and this is a great review.
They are pretty darn good, especially for a first gen product from a company who hasn't historically built goggles! Thank you man!
i havent been having much luck lately with my quad, i put a new stack in it and plugged the cable from the esc to the fc in backwards and now the esc is dead lol then i got an aio that was doa, and my franken-whoop has had a motor screw de thread itself so im on 2/3 screws on that motor and no idea how good or bad the remaining are because it dropped 1 screw and came loose the shaking pulled the thread out of the second, so who knows how much life i can get out of that, but once thats dead its game over for like a month before i can afford to buy another flight controller and esc for my crux35, trying not to get discouraged too much as i do love flying, hopefully if i can get a couple of months relativly trouble free i might be able to afford to upgrade to hdzero, by far im more interested in hd zero than the other hd options because their business practices, but first i just need to not f up my next install, i have a spare set of motors and a spare frame just need electronics, i did have lined up to have a good stack and a backup cheap aio, but that fell through and its all on paypal pay in 4 fortnights so yeah, its going to take a few weeks to get on top of everything, and by then chineese new year will be in full swing and i wont be able to get anything locally because stock sucks nor from china because cny
Nothing worse than broken parts being replaced by parts that never stood a chance :( I hope you can get those couple of months too and stay in the air! Paypal pay in 4 has saved my life......and ruined it, lol
Great video brother! These goggles are the best thing since sliced bread! Unfortunately I’m sold on my 03 au’s lol
Thank you!! They really are good...I tried really hard to find something I didn't like about them, but just couldnt, lol. For pilots not living in the DJI world, they are hands down the best option. I am still going to fly everything though, because I just want to be in the air no matter what it looks like :p
@@BaconNinjaFPV Most definitely, I’d fly hd zero if I had it 1000%! I mean they are constantly doing new things with it

I mean, they came in a box :p lol jkjk, I actually didnt get anything with this review. Not even a set of goggles to keep using.
What kind of lens inserts fit in it (ie. compatible with Fatshark Dominator?) and where can you get them made?
I know the fatshark ones wont work, but I am not sure who is cutting them yet. I will keep my eye out though and let you know what I find.
I’m considering skyzone 04x v2 or hdzero for tinywhoop at indoor skills and record, Should I buy which one?
well, both are great goggles!
So am I understanding that these work with walksnail out of the box without additional module as well as HDZero?
Out of the box they will only work with the HDZero system unfortunately. They do fully support all of the modes of the WalkSnail VRX though, which makes them the only goggle to do so. Other goggle options don't have the high frame rate capabilities and limit you to the lowest one offered on the WS VRX.
"Once you hit one of those numbers, you can feel it in the knob"😂👍🏻
lolol, I say silly things sometimes :p
Ugh.
lolol...I think that second thing is what half of us spend most of our time doing :p
@@BaconNinjaFPV Thank you!
Also as far as I can tell, this price is only going to happen through HDZero directly and not through any other distribution methods :(
@@BaconNinjaFPV tks
I know hdzeros new goggles are good and the price is alright for a brand new pair of hd goggles i got my dji v2 goggles for less then 300 though
Yeah these are the best bet for anyone not living in the DJI ecosystem, or even those of us who just live in every ecosystem, lol. What I really like is being able to pack these in my bag and run 3 different systems without packing more than one set.
I just bought skyzone 04X for about $370.. Did i screw myself or was it still a good buy? considering the HDzero is 125 more
You didnt get a bad deal, the Skyzone O4X are terrific goggles!
@@BaconNinjaFPV some day I will get them, by the way a broke my crowbar trying 🤣
Awesome!! Damn there are analog goggles that still cost more than that!!
yeah these are some serious bang for the buck man!
hi in new, and just learn about goggles. Is this digital? Or just analog?
They are primarily digital goggles for the HDZero system, but they do have the option of adding on a separate, and not included, analog receiver and bay to use them for analog. On top of that, they have an HDMI input with the correct specs for running a second digital system on them via the Walksnail VRX. The only system these wont cover with optional components is DJI.
I heard they are actually 60hz on walksnail
That was true when people first started getting their pre orders. Nobody anticipated that walksnail would use 100hz instead of 120hz...but the open source devs went to work on that quick and added a compatible 100hz mode for it :)
@@BaconNinjaFPV great news and thanks for fast reply.

I tend to use the HDZero 90 degree HDMI cables so that nothing dangles, but a dedicated set of goggles is always nice for it too if that is what you are after.
those googles are still 599 in the hd zero store.
yeah they did go back up in price after a while :( Originally I was told that this was the forever price, but then it turned into a limited time deal.

hey, I never said why I couldn't afford nice glasses :p ...I think the wall tells you exactly why, lol.
I totally get you! That’s also why I can’t afford taking my girlfriend to dinner as often as she’d like... 😂

It is a heck of a deal for sure!

HD footage doesn't look nearly as good as walksnail or DJI IMO
@@TheCivildecay no it doesn’t, the DVR is not a priority on the system, but in goggle and in motion it is a good image, and my favourite system to fly.
Chose what you need. All the systems are VERY different, in flight feel, and are useful for different things.
I personally run HDZero, Avatar, and analog. And am happy with all of them, for their own individual reasons.
I used to use DJI O3 but gave up on it due to all the antisocial issues, but picture quality is great on that system… if you are into that sort of thing.
@@lemonsquareFPVhmm kinda sucks that you can't see how HDZERO looks without first buying the goggles
Well, I've gone and bought a set...... 😄😄
I bet you will really enjoy them! At this price, I don't see how anyone would pick FatShark or Orqa. I could still see some people choosing Skyzone since they come with a module, but even then some people wind up getting a rapidfire for their Skyzones...so idk.
I think the best goggle is the one that works best with the majority of your video systems.
I totally agree! I think for most pilots not living in the DJI world, these are going to be exactly that.
someone should call HDZero/Divimath and ask them "have you ever built a long range quad ?" probably not otherwise they would've known by now that the MIPI cable length options they came up with are pretty much useless.
How much the price? 495 usd or 600 usd or this video isa clickbait i dont understand
The current price is $599 USD, but when this video released HDZero announced it at a reduced price of $495 USD.
