Yeasss they are my favorite!! I always felt like Rachel was a bit overrated, she seemed a bit bland to me, and I didn’t understand the hype. She is beautiful and a very standard way, but there’s something else about Monica and Phoebe that we’re just something else.
Hi! I really love your style analysis videos, I was wondering if you knew the 90s TV-show "The Nanny" with Fran Fine?? I LOVE her fashion, it would be really cool to see an analysis of her outfits and why she looked so good all the time.
While it doesn’t go into body types, I recommend watching Mina Le’s video on the subject! She does a deep dive on the costuming from the show with a focus on Fran.
It’s interesting to note flashbacks from of Rachel point to very frou frou overly structured and bright garments showing her wardrobe evolution is a metaphor for how she finds herself in NYC
I would love to see a reflection on Phoebe and why they straightened her hair 😂😂😂😂 for me it makes little sense. She had such an amazing wavy hair on season 1 and I feel that curls bring this romantic hippie vibe that is SO her. Loved the video
I'll attempt to answer the question- and the answer is it was the 90s! as a teenager in the 90s with naturally wavy curly hair let me tell you we desperately flat ironed it every day. Stick straight hair was in.
I'm rewatching Friends atm so this is perfect timing! Like most of us, I love and am always inspired by Rachel's style. ‘Elevated casual' is the perfect phrase. I think the fashion in Friends is really exceptional generally and I'd love to see videos on Monica and Phoebe, too. They're a little different in that you can tell the stylists have specifically gone out of their way always to dress Rachel in the most flattering way, whereas they intentionally don't always do that with Phoebe and Monica, but they still both have great, distinct style that express their characters, and I always love to see what they're wearing.
Rachel was literally just a blonde who was also of moderate height. That's why they sidelined phoebe and monica. Phoebe was also blonde but she was bigger than most girls so didn't fit their traditional standards. Remember when Phoebe got all dressed up to meet her gay ice-skater husband, she looked SUPER hawt🔥. And I've always thought Monica was the prettiest face in friends. She had amazing contrasts in her face😍.
Actually you're wrong. Rachel was always supposed to be the best dressed because of her fashion passion/job AND the fact she grew up rich and popular. Phoebe did NOT look her best in the pink 60s dress , she looked the best in her hippie/70s long and flowey outfits. Her orange coat was chef's kiss. Monica was the down to earth hard worker who cared most about her friends and her career so she only dressed up for special ocasions . But all 3 actresses are gorgeous, so you can put your judgmental ass back where it belongs, in the trash.
Rachel has the same style roots like me, now it klicked why I love her style 😅 I like Monica’s style too, and she is more like my coloring 🤔 And I like Phoebe for her craziness 😂 Please do the other girls and why not the guys too!
Loved this one! As someone with a similar body type and coloring to Jennifer, Aniston, after learning from many of your videos, I found that I could find tons of inspiration from looking at her real life streetwear. This was super helpful for someone who always felt a little lost with fashion stuff. I think in real life today, her style roots would be stone, mushroom, earth (She’s always got khakis and texture wedges, for example). My roots are stone, mushroom, earth, with a touch of flower necessary for certain occasions. Love her style, and I really appreciate how your videos have helped me figure out what clothes I actually feel good in, Ellie-Jean!
Love your videos so much! I would love to see more of these style analysis videos for tv characters known for their style like the women of Sex and the City!
This makes me think of Pheobe (Alyssa Milano) from Charmed and her style evolution. If you ever review her, I hope you like the show🖤 it's how I learned to speak English lol I watched every night while airing on tv.
I'm beginning to acknowledge that I have soft coloring and features. I'm either a Soft Summer or a Soft Autumn. Miss Aniston really looks good on those colors plus the Mushroom, Stone/Mountain and Flower style essences. I wish I can pull them off as well.
Maybe you could then do someone with fire root? I don't believe you've made a single video with a celebrity/ character with that root. Same for moon actually. It is very much stone earth, flower and mushroom. love your system though :)
I like her earlier styles more, she started wearing a lot more of black and gray since she started working in RL. She inspired me to get a leather (faux) coat in the future
I have always loved Rachel's style, but it explains as we have the same style roots, we are both summers and I think I also have natural kibbe body type with a bit of classic and gamine :D So she should definitely be my style inspiration!
Would love to see a Monica and Phoebe video. I feel like Friends did Lisa Kudrow a disservice style wise for Phoebe, even if Phoebe is supposed to be out there
@@nikkikenny1165exactly! Some of us (like me) can't pull off frills. At least not anywhere near the face. Rachel's outfits may be a source of inspiration for these women.
Hi Ellie, do you think you could do an analysis on Florence Welsh? I'm assuming you saw her perform with Taylor last night and she just seemed so floaty and ethereal. Would love an analysis. Love the videos 😊
Could you an analysis on academia styles for Kibbe? I'm an Soft Natural and have such a hard time finding realistic college outfits that I can feel good wearing on my campus!!
Hi Ellie, great content! New subscriber here! Could you please make a video on what is the most important criteria while shopping for clothes. It is often impossible to find something that fits your color season, your kibbe body type, your personal style, essence, face type etc. so if i had to choose a piece of clothing based on one criteria what would that be? 😊
Jennifer is also a Libra Rising, it’s said that they can wear just about anything but also, they are the best at experimenting with style while staying true to themselves and pulling off an cohesive evolution. Idk lol, I’m into astrology a bit so I liked that detail about Libra’s. I’ve never watched friends but I love these videos
Could you do some analysis of more alternative styles / people? I think a lot of the style examples you look at are very conservative and safe and it would be interesting to see other types of examples. Thanks! 😊
Can you do an analysis on Monica and Phoebe?
Yes please, that would be awesome

Yesssssssss pleaaaaasseeeeeew
Yes Yes Yes! I loved hearing about the decisions the Friends Costumer made, I'd love to hear more on the other girls!
Seconding this! They all have great style but I think Monica's is my favourite

Literally the plan for a video I wrote today!! Cool to see there’s an audience for it!
OMG! Hair tutorial, PLEASE!! You look stunning ❤
i’m 23 and i find myself being inspired by rachel’s outfits and hairstyles till this day 🤩
well… im actually inspired by everyone’s outfits tbh haha

Oh, and I can't wait to get my copy of your book! Looking forward to it 👗💃🏼

Can you analyze some people without the flower style root? I'm struggling to find examples without it 😅
Great idea! I will try and find someone for my next video who is flower-free!
@@elliejeanroydenmoon, mushroom, mountain 😊

your look is stunning!
love the hair so much!

In my opinion Rachel’s charm was based on hairstyle and very slim, but still curved body, not style
Yes, great hair is like 30% of this character's popularity. 😄
Agreed. Her body is amazing and that's why she always stood out. If you put the same clothes on a different person it wouldn't have the same effect.

I always loved Rachel’s clothing style the best.
Your hair looks amazing in this video ❤️
we all wish we were rachel living the Friends life 😍😍
Congratulations on the book! ❤️ I loved this! Thank you
Would love to see a Monica and Phoebe video. I feel like Friends did Lisa Kudrow a disservice style wise for Phoebe, even if Phoebe is supposed to be out there
You look marvelous with darker hair. Such a light summer magic!
phoebe would be amazing in these videos!! i think her style is so original, mystical and fun while also being sexy many times
I love this video so much Rachel is probably my fav style inspiration
thank you i enjoyed this sooo much!!! i would love to see your take on the other characters
We all wanted Rachel's fast career projectory
Rachel was really girly which is what I resonated with!
She's girly without being frilly (no hate @ frills lol)

Love this one! I relate to this 10000%!
I was browsing stuff about her color palette last night! lol I like these deep dives
What a fantastic video 👏👏👏
Please do Riverdale with the main 3! ❤️
Could you an analysis on academia styles for Kibbe? I'm an Soft Natural and have such a hard time finding realistic college outfits that I can feel good wearing on my campus!!
Can you do an analysis on Ashley banks or cher Horowitz

Do Carrie Bradshaw next

I just realize you lot A LOT like the student ross dated that one time. I searched for the actress' name: Elizabeth Stevens
Please do monika!!
Excellent video.

Can you do Marissa Cooper and Summer Roberts from the oc?
Can you do an analysis on blackpink member ?

❤
Jennifer didn’t keep the “Rachel” hair because she couldn’t style herself 😂 that why she didn’t keep it herself.
Phoebe's style was a distaster for me
perhaps by 1990s standards.. she looks like my mom in the 90s.. which is not a compliment
