Being in Adelaide we're still getting days in the high teens to low twenties although the nights are fairly cold, 6 to 11C for the next ten days and nights. Heated grips, thermals, wet weather gear and pants that fit over your boots and not in them, because there's nothing worse then walking around with wet socks, and you'll be right.
Im in Georgia. Past 2 weeks, low 80s, and showers on and off. Saturday, calling for 90 degrees, and storms forecasted sat-tues. Should be hitting high 90s and high humidity in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Hot hot hot and sticky
I currently live in the northeastern US, didn't have much snow this winter so I lucked out and rode for all but a month. My cold/wet weather setup is damn good performance at a mid-teir price point. I ride a 2005 Ducati Monster 620, jacket and pants are the Dainese Tempest 3, boots are the Dainese Nexus 2 D-WP, gloves are the Rev'It Summit 4 H2O. When it got close to freezing I'd toss on the base-layer I got from Columbia that has the omni-heat reflective lining, and turn on the bike's heated grips. Only issues I've encountered were the lining of the gloves came loose, and the initial pair of boots leaked around the shifter pads, both got taken care of via warranty replacements. Finished the winter with no other issues.
@@sergeantwombat Yeah, I rode into January and picked back up again in late February. Having the right gear helps, and going with a jacket/pants setup that has its own full length thermal instead of layering to get there, huge difference in comfort. I got all four pieces (jacket, pants, boots, and gloves) for the same price as a top tier Dainese Gortex jacket.
quite a few music shops in that area, worth popping passed i reckon. heated grips fixes all i swear, even makes rain more bearable, although not ideal still.
I was confused at first, as I just had my first 30C day yesterday as a pre-taste of a boiling summer... then I remembered you're in Australia. I did my first winter riding (during your last summer), with as low as -15C before the windchill factor from riding (with snow and icy patches on the road). Thermal underwear, layers... layers is important, with heated gloves, and snowpants and a thick winter jacket on top of everything, though I could do with some heated underwear for the groin area. 🥶🍆🥶 Stay warm, Sarge!
Hey man just got interested in getting a bike one day and honestly its soo fun to see ur videos. i came across them randomly xD question tho for the 500 im 6.2 so idk if its good for me or not! xD

Nothing like a squishy walk from the garage to the front door with wet socks lol
That van at 5:10 was rooted...
Lol, didnt even notice

Better than 4° c lol
I don't mind the cold in the winter but I'm terrified of wet tram track. The last time I went over them I got a free ride to the hospital 😅
I had a mate do the same thing...

Getting a month in of riding when there's typically snow is not bad at all

@@AT2Productions Tried heated soles for ya boots?
@@sergeantwombat I haven’t, my feet only got cold when they got wet. Most waterproof gear has a nice side effect of being wind blocking as well.
not bad at all! My favourite move is the pull over and grab the exhaust with gloves for dear warmth
