I very much appreciate this. Ordered a LH-4 because I like low profile turrets. I really regretted not getting the Japanese glass and positive turrets. You put my mind to ease that i got the right one for myself.
Tiborasaurus rex and winning in the wind talk about that type of error in tracking. The erector can stick. it's good to dial past the mil maek you want and then dial back to it. I uavent had tgat problwm on my 6-24x sh4j or my lh 6-24x, both vpr. I agree, to me the vpr is the only way to go. Nice review, this is the first video of yours I've seen . Ill be subscribing. I plan on using the lh on a 22 arc for prairie dogs, i have one on a 300 Hamr pig gun also. Until i can afford a thermal that is, lol. Edit: I already was subscribed, damn, i must need some ginko biloba!
I had a nightforce NX8. It was definitely nicer, but I kept putting it up next to my EP5 I had on a elr .22 setup. I can't justify $2000 on NF when optics like these exist. I have an EP5, SH4, and EPL now. I put these on par with the best scopes 15 years ago. That's good enough for what I want. If it breaks, I won't cry over $300. I'll just buy another one.
Excellent review. I want to get an Arken EP5 5-25x 56 for long distance but that would be too heavy for hunting. Thanks to your review I now have a hunting option with the LH series. BTW what brand and model is your tripod? Would you recomend it?
Tripod is two vets brand. The No name V2. RRS Anvil head. If you need something for hunting I’d go with something lighter. This is a solid tripod, but they make lighter ones.
Thank you for the feedback. Love your evaluations. I'm looking at and considering the Fat Boy Levitate tripod. Any knowledge of that tripod? Any other suggestions? My use will be hunting and long range shooting. Thanks again
Hi I'm shooting a high-powered pellet rifle. Realistically most of the time I'm going to be shooting maximum 400 yards maybe 500 yards. In terms of a lightweight x-44 which model would you recommend and do you think having less elevation with the lightweight Scopes is going to be an issue at maximum 500 yards shooting. I'm not a hunter I'm a Target shooter / Marksmanship
Email Arken and see if they can send you 4 EPL's to reshoot and see if it's a one-off anomaly or an issue ... they might do it.. to answer the question
Why l'll never use the Arken SH4 Gen 2 4-16x50mm scope. TH-cam The Social regressive. Scroll forward to the 12-minute mark. Perhaps the Japanese glass is better? He returned one of his Scopes and they gave him another one it was a little bit better but still not usable. Have you noticed any problems shooting in bright sunlight chromatic aberration?
You helped me in my decision on getting the lh4 & I love it, good content, please continue. I don’t subscribe ti a lot of people but I subbed here.
@@ryand52091 much appreciated man. That’s why I do these.
Only complaint from me is that the illuminated reticle is like Kamala Harris........not very bright
the reticle was never designed for daylight illumination but low light use or on a dark target background
lmao

I would like to see that price on them show up again
They have sales all the time. They currently have one going. Use code LOWEST
@ADudeAndSomeGuns Absolute legend. Thank you
Great review
Now if they would just eliminate the illumination they could make it even lighter , I'm not a fan of illumination in a scope , some want it some dont.

I’m not really sure how much elevation you’d need for a pellet gun, and at those distances. I’d imagine you want max elevation…
@@ADudeAndSomeGuns Thanks. So you don't think the lightweight Arken scopes would work?
@@surreallife777 how much elevation do you need at 500?
@@ADudeAndSomeGuns I'm not sure I'll look into it
Whitch one is lighter weight Epl or Lh in the 4 16x44
Lh is lighter and won't lose any tightening screws on the elevation turret like my Epl kept doing. I like the scopes tho.
Website shows the epl4 is lighter than lh4, trying to see if that's true
They need a locking turret
Would be nice, I imagine they're priced the way they are because they lack certain features like that.
