I think porzingis is going to be the biggest factor in this series because he's going to play so comfortable in Dallas that I don't think the Mavericks are going to be able to stop him
We sure Porzingis can’t keep this up? Against Miami he was matched up with a defensive monster in Bam Adebayo, and regardless of what the metrics are the heat are always fantastic on defense. The Mavs aren’t on that level. Gafford and Lively stand no chance against Porzingis, and he proved that in the regular season too.
I thought basketball was offense and defense? Luka is a brilliant offensive talent. But let's keep it real. He's a defensive liability if you have the right personnel to exploit it. J. Brown plays both sides of the ball which makes him far more valuable in this series.
Depends how much Luka scores. If he has 50 this game is 109-107, mavs. Probably shouldn't try to count on it, but Luka can and has put up some gaudy scoring totals.
The rest, including Kyrie, just did not make their outside shots. They were open shots, but they could not hit them. That's just the way the game goes.
@@danieldaw1778 that's assuming everything else happens exactly the same way, which it wouldn't. Luka gets 50, maybe the rest of the team scores 49 instead of 59. The fallacy bureau hasn't accepted my submission, but I call it the fallacy of the predetermined outcome. It's a scourge in sports media
Brou saying "the Celtics aren't great at home they're 18-14 over the last 3 playoffs" is bad faith. THIS SEASON they are 6-2, and I would say a .750 winning % is pretty great.
Luka magic, Orlando magic, "Voilà, magic", Magic Schoolbus, Magic Johnson, it don't matter. The Mavs better start using some magic cause it's Celtics in fo' 🚬🧹😎
Entirely different criticisms. JB is treated like trash whereas JT is treated like he should be MJ but playing like Pippen. They simply want more from him for whatever reason. But they hit JB with the, “who even is that?”
Wait…Nick thought Kyrie wouldn’t have a good series, but thinks they only need ONE A+ game from him to win it?? I’m not a Celtics fan, but even I think that’s asinine logic.
"Doncic would be like i would just score 50." It was hard enough for him dealing with Brown last night. He made tough tough shots. Also if the Mavs tend to lose Game 1s and Celtics Game 2s, why are you more confident in the Mavs than the Celts? Flawed argument all around.
He took 16 shots to Jaylen’s 12 while Jaylen outscored him. So people are unfairly comparing Tatum to Brown. Jaylen played better but it does not mean Jayson played bad and vice versa when that occurs.
Very good game from him. He was also assigned to cover their bigs and adjusted to that well. Needs to see a couple more shots fall and clean up the TOs, but otherwise still having a huge impact and drawing attention
I’ve said for years Brown has more of the 1 mentality but the media has anointed Tatum as the 1 (which he does have the higher potential) so Brown settled into the 2 spot but Tatum doesn’t seem to have the 1 aggression in him and seems unsure of himself if he doesn’t start hot so I think Brown needs to be the guy to takeover the series for them
The fact most people were saying the mavs would win is laughable the Celtics just overwhelmed them with depth and talent. It looked like the varsity playing the jv team with that one good jv player who should be on varsity
Tatum was playing the 5! How many guys at his true position can do that? He completely stifled the mavs big men and those lobs along with KP. Sure the mavs can play better but the Celtics can play a lot better as well. Dallas hasn't been competitive in a single game yet this season vs Boston and that's certainly no fluke
Jaylen brown has always been their best player. As long as Tatum doesn’t try and go hero mode to win finals mvp, Celtics should win. But I think Tatum is going to do Tatum things.
This is the thing I can’t stand about sports talk shows. They always bring up the past few series as barometers of how this particular series will go. It’s just such lazy analysis to say “well the Mavs have a history of losing game 1 so they’re fine” instead of looking into the matchup & realising Boston creates a ton of issues for the Mavericks.
I mean it is a good point. They are type of team that has bad game 1s. Game 1 Clippers beat them by 24. Game 1 OKC beat them by 22. If you don't see that Mavs played terrible this game and they definitely way better than that, then you're a casual. They aren't saying that game 2 and 3 are just a given that Mavs win. But it will be closer than game 1. Also Bru is right, KP will play worse.

So no criticism for luka’s “effort”? None for how boston consistently kept setting the pick and switch off of Luka to force him to defend the point of attack? None for how lazily he ran the offense and how sloppy they were in the fourth ? Yet in the next segment Tatum gets negative criticism for playing team ball and not forcing up shots to have impressive stats and finishing with 16 & 10 and the win. I don’t get it.
luka was the only guy on his team who managed to do anything… tatum is playing in an all star starting line up and still going 6-16 for 16 points with 6 turnovers. you would need to have a bias to trash luka and defend tatum in the same sentence
@@Josiah-gk4ouexactly. Criticize Luka if you want, but Tatum was not very good. He settled for jump shots in the post instead of posting up . Jru posted up PJ Washington on one play, then the very next possession Tatum settled for a jump shot on the same player when PJ just got posted up by a guard. I won't hold anything against him for having a great team around him, but as the "best player" on the team you're going to get criticism when you're not playing like it and HAVEN'T played like it.
Thats horrible analysis haha what more do you want luka to do? He scored 1/3 of his teams points hahah
@@abespeaks6718Jayson Tatum hasn’t played like the best player on his team? Hasn’t he lead his team in points, rebounds and assists throughout the playoffs?
@@foundationsyth9825you ask what more Luka should do and only mention the points he scored. Much more to the game than points and evidently, simply scoring a lot of points wasn’t a successful formula.
Go Wildes and Go Celtics ☘️
Celtics are 7-2 at home this post-season btw (regardless of competition), so much of people’s issues with the Celtics are from past teams
right
I think porzingis is going to be the biggest factor in this series because he's going to play so comfortable in Dallas that I don't think the Mavericks are going to be able to stop him
Nick masks his failed predictions by dissing Wildes
We sure Porzingis can’t keep this up? Against Miami he was matched up with a defensive monster in Bam Adebayo, and regardless of what the metrics are the heat are always fantastic on defense. The Mavs aren’t on that level. Gafford and Lively stand no chance against Porzingis, and he proved that in the regular season too.
Glad Jason Kidd doing great, alot of people didn't believe in him , maybe me too if I remember, I love him as a player
would rather have 16-11-6 in a win than 30 in a loss
Wilds is the life blood of the show, God I love him, what a gem.
I thought basketball was offense and defense? Luka is a brilliant offensive talent. But let's keep it real. He's a defensive liability if you have the right personnel to exploit it. J. Brown plays both sides of the ball which makes him far more valuable in this series.
they threw everything at Luka it was amazing, i never expected to think of Luke Kornet as a matchup problem for Luka but here we are
@@jonjones9917
Luka plain and simple is awful defensively. Boston is looking for him to put him in pick and roll action.
The Mavs struggling without going 20 for 20 on lob dunks
"Luka will win a couple games by himself." Not if the rest of the Mavs keeps scoring 59 points.
If he gets 40 to 50 then 60 from the rest might get it done
No the team was missing shots like crazy. They dared the mavs to make shots and they didn’t
The epitome of propaganda....
Yo Wildes was hilarious this segment 😂
When you shoot 26 times you better have 30
Plus you are one of the main reasons your team defense collapsed since you can’t seem to stay in front of your guy
Luka can do/get anything he wants, anytime., Kyrie and the rest of the team were no shows. Best player on the floor every game.
@@MrRukiddin What are you waffling about when he just scored 30 on 26 shots

Luka magic, Orlando magic, "Voilà, magic", Magic Schoolbus, Magic Johnson, it don't matter. The Mavs better start using some magic cause it's Celtics in fo' 🚬🧹😎
This comment is tough no lie 😂❤

Wildes is my hero.
Tatum going for the easiest 40 of his life next game. BOOK IT.
Yea give JB his props....he has been criticized just as much as Tatum...Tatum is learning how to win his kobe setting in
Entirely different criticisms. JB is treated like trash whereas JT is treated like he should be MJ but playing like Pippen. They simply want more from him for whatever reason. But they hit JB with the, “who even is that?”
Nick gotta eat his humble pie. He acted like Dallas was miles ahead of Boston. Clearly not the case
They keep sticking with this “Boston is not good at home in the playoffs , 18-14 last 3 years” bro they 7-2 this year 💀
So I guess these guys didn’t notice how tired Luka was with 9 minutes to go
Dude was asking to sub 3 minutes in the 1st quarter
The only argument the haters got are comparisons. CELTICS ARENT EVERY OTHER TEAM!
1:54 Did I hear, Lakers, Bucks, Mavs? That means… switching teams applies to you too Nick. 😂
I am glad that finally SOMEONE talked about the two travels in two minutes as Dallas was trying to come back
Wildes noticing the Superman swoop in his hair in the camera and fixing it on the sly. 😂
Lmao was so hyped to see this one 😂
Nick and Chris both need to be fired Boston haters Celtics up 2-0 we are on to game 3
Coming back a month later to these horrible by takes by them is hilarious
I love this version of Wildes, the playful banter between him and Nick is genuinely fantastic
I’m not rooting for the Celtics, I’m rooting for Wildes.
Wildes makes this the best sports talk program.
Are these guys dreaming? Or are they just luka fanboys
they are clowns
Nick, 2-way performance has been like that for Boston this season!
This show is perfect for ppl who truly don’t know basketball but like to listen to non-athletes who don’t know how to break down basketball.
Bruh, if you want some kind of superior analysis, go watch Tim Legler's or JJ Redicks podcast. This is ENTERTAINING sports TV at its finest!
These guys know nothing about basketball… can’t believe they are getting at for this trush
This is a show of takes and opinions. It is their base but they also bring data
funny but true
Nick rides Luca so much he didn’t see they arent that😂
Lowered expectations 🎶🎶😂😂 Now all of sudden Kyrie can have less than 20 and the Mavs still win
Tatum doesn't handle the bright lights well
I was a widower! 😂😂
Wyldes got Nick. Im here for it
Wait…Nick thought Kyrie wouldn’t have a good series, but thinks they only need ONE A+ game from him to win it?? I’m not a Celtics fan, but even I think that’s asinine logic.
Wildes makes the whole show excited 😆
Tatum didn’t score but played ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC on DEFENSE and Jaylen is on an EMOTIONAL SUPER HIGH!!! Love it!! Go Celtics
Wildes makes this show much better
"Doncic would be like i would just score 50."
It was hard enough for him dealing with Brown last night. He made tough tough shots.
Also if the Mavs tend to lose Game 1s and Celtics Game 2s, why are you more confident in the Mavs than the Celts? Flawed argument all around.
Lol they just meat riding
Talking heads are on a quest to crown their next lebron James
Live from New York...It's the show where Nick Wright keeps looking for the smallest hill he can die on.
Am I tripping or did tatum not even play bad. He was playing unselfishly and gave up his shots to the hot hand
You're not. It was a solid game all around game and most importantly it wasn't frustrated Tatum out there. He was just leading
Tatum had 6 turnovers and 6-16 fg. That’s terrible

Scary is Kyrie's last 11 games vs Celtics 🥶
PorzinGOD the Unicorn hasn't looked this good since early Knicks days, 7'3" KD but more unstoppable attacking the basket
You're right on the money. The fact that Tatum led the team in points, rebounds, assists and PER doesn't mean much. 😴

Porzingis doesn't have to do it everynight. Tatum will get going eventually
Why don't yall show the clips of the game like ever
This is the thing I can’t stand about sports talk shows. They always bring up the past few series as barometers of how this particular series will go. It’s just such lazy analysis to say “well the Mavs have a history of losing game 1 so they’re fine” instead of looking into the matchup & realising Boston creates a ton of issues for the Mavericks.
They’re basically comparing the clippers without Kawhi to a fully healthy Celtics team lol
@@Mystrayou just proved my point 🤦♂️
@@alexflood7397no I didn't, just say you don't have any good arguments since that's your pathetic response 😂
@@Mystra Mavs played terrible because the Celtics forced them into uncomfortable situations. Instead comparing the Celtics to Clippers or OKC, give me one adjustment that the Mavs could make that would lead them to win in Game 2?
