Not a bad postseason run for the “worst MVP in 35 years” or whatever Nick said 😂
Not sure, if Nick said 35 years somewhere. But, this is one thing I know he did say:
"If Nikola Jokic wins the MVP, he's the worst player to win the MVP since Dave Cowens."
Nick said this in 2021, right before Jokic was crowned MVP the first time. Dave Cowens won MVP in 1973, so that's 48 years.

“Worst MVP in 35 years”
The switch up from Nick is crazy, saying Jokic was possibly the worst MVP in history is a far cry from what Giannis went through.
I agree with his statement. The past couple seasons it seems like players aren't interested in winning MVP. A lot of stars are either injured or players want to load manage. Jokic has no problem playing and his availability got him those awards.
@@mike.cdn7212 or he was actually the best player in the league and just didn’t have the cast around him
This is accurate. The statement above is not imo.
Look how bad embiid wanted mvp this season. Players definitely want mvp. It goes on their “wall of legacy awards” and such. A notch on their belt that can be talked about for the rest of their lives.
All he needed was another good player, as everyone including Lebron needs as well, and then he dominates the league in both the reg season and playoffs. So impressive.
Side note; ppl knock his D all the time as if he’s some liability like Steph. He’s a good defender. Smart and big.
@@matthewhill3996The thing is, did anyone say Giannis won his MVP because of his race? Did anyone say he is the worst MVP in 20 years? Did anyone say Giannis stat pads? It would be deserving to say that Jokic didnt deserve the MVP because someone had a better case, like with Embiid, I can see it and its fair, but it is not fair brining race into it like Perkins did

@@danielcastruita51 I'm a huge Steph fan and Jokic put in work against the Warriors with less help than Luka and Ja in 2022. So Luka put up good stats but stats mean nothing without winning. I understand needing to see Jokic win but he didn't give the same courtesy to Luka. Now Jokic did win two MVPs and Luka hasn't but I'm not sure that's an indictment on Jokic as much as it is one on Luka. Jokic took the Nuggets to the conference finals in 2020 just as far as Luka. We can wander, but then we should keep this in mind: by playing the way he did, and by influencing the locker room the way he did, Jokic literally changed the culture of his team and transformed it to what we see today. Meaning: if you would switch Luka and Jokic, you would have to give Jokic another 5, 6 years in Dallas and only then look to his results.

Its annoying when Brou actively refuses to try to understand what Nick is saying. I get it and i totally agree with Nick. Jokic would've been an all time great regardless, but you cant put him in that caregory this soon UNLESS he won a ring and had a dominant run
nick is also the guy that said Jokic is worst mvp in last 35 years loool and he said history will judge him favorably his takes are trash every take
I thought Jokic winning his second MVP, would've swayed more people from that mentality. The Nuggets were the sixth seed, and still they gave Jokic the MVP. Same thing should apply to rings. It isn't an absolute necessity to win a ring, to cement a legacy as an all time great. Examples being Barkley, Ewing, Malone. And, Stockton, Iverson and T-Mac.
He has been individually dominant for a while.
he put Luka in that list when he has done nothing. not even a regular season mvp.
@jameswabwire1931 he's 24 dude. To say he's done nothing is just such a ridiculous statement. He's taken a decent team to a west finals and destroys every single team he plays against in the playoffs. You can't point to a single game where he was the reason they lost or weren't competitive.
To say Duncan became an all-time great in 2003 is a disrespectful statement. He was first team all nba his first year and he went to have the best record in the NBA in his second year and had arguably the most dominant playoff run ever. It was a shortened season but what he did was unparalleled. He beat Garnett, swept Shaq and Kobe, swept that deep Blazers team with guys like Rasheed, Sabonis, Stoudamire and Brian Grant. And finally he gentleman swept the Knicks with Ewing, Allan Houston and the crew. The next couple years, it was just Shaq and Kobe’s years and he competed against them in those years. There are some guys that are legends the moment they walked into the league. Guys like Jordan, Bird, Shaq are like that and even Magic. You know they’re up there already before a full season of NBA basketball. Duncan was like that he was already up there in his 2nd year. I don’t think anybody disputed him as the best in the game in 99 because he left nobody in the discussion. Karl Malone choked once again despite winning the MVP. Duncan came in 3rd in that by the way in his 2nd year, lost 2 games the whole playoffs and dominated everybody including Garnett, Shaq and Ewing, guys who are all-time greats that he faced in their matchups.
Now his 2003 season is even more legendary. You could argue it’s the greatest individual season ever. Best record in the league with 60 wins, MVP and all defensive first team, beat the Suns who had Penny, Stoudemire, Shawn Marion and Starbury not to mention Iso Joe. Dominated the best version of the Shaq and Kobe Lakers. This wasn’t like the Detroit series which they choked. This was the best version of Kobe prime Shaq ever played with and they got outclassed by Duncan. Beat Dirk and the Mavs and beat the Jason Kidd led Nets and had the greatest defensive series any individual has ever had in the history of the NBA. But to say that’s when he became an all-time great is ridiculous
Dude, u selling it like a salesman means that u lying a lot.
In 99
Avery led the Spurs in points in the series vs Wolves.
Vs Lakers TD led by far in points.
Vs Blazers D.Robinson led in both points and rebounds ahead of TD.
In the Finals
Knicks had no bigs to compete and TD naturally took over in PPG.
00-02 for 3 YEARS straight TD got destroyed by Shaq and Kobe especially Kobe who was a nightmare for TD in all their series matchups when they met in the Playoffs.
In 03 was TD best season Overall even if the regular season was a Spurs thing more than a TD thing bec Kobe avg way greater during the season and that's factual.
Nick Wright is good at arguing but too stupid to understand the value of a complete player like duncan. Someone that consistently gives you a tremendous advantage because of court awareness and amazing hand eye coordination. Both duncan and Jokic play in such a way that Nick us too low level of a thinker to understand. He needs stats because he’s kind of dumb
This is such a crazy comment. Duncan in 99 was solid but far from a carry. And 2003 was not peak Kobe Shaq, it was clearly 2001 which is arguably the best version of both players and guess what, they swept Duncan. If anything the graphic is disrespectful to Kobe who had an all time great postseason run in 2001 but apparently wasn't an all time great up until 2009??
Duncan is the most overrated player ever
So all of sudden all media analyst believe Jokic is all time center but did not deserve MVP BRO HE IS BEEN PLAYING LIKE A GOAT ALL SEASON NOW U GIVE HIM HIS FLOWERS 😐😐
Nick needs to stop with this nokic hate give the man his due he is a finals mvp and a champion literally lead the playoffs in every statistical category
This is where the hating is clear in Nick. Because Giannis had nearly the exact same 3 year run ‘19-‘21 as Jokic 3 year run of ‘21-‘23. Giannis got a DPOY to add to it but he also has had a much more poor performance than Jokic has overall in those 3 years in the playoffs. But when Giannis won the title Nick put him in the top 13-15ish range and over KD but Jokic is just 20-22 for him
they were so wrong throughout whole year. if they get like 1 out of 5 predictions right, then they are really proud of themselves
What person isn’t l? That’s the beauty of sports, it’s very unpredictable to a degree.
That’s why it’s called a prediction lol u expect these guys to know the future
Dirk/Mavs playoff run was insane
This is by far the best sports show
Broussard needs to stop pretending his 4th/5th picks to win the finals are his initial picks when the playoffs finish and he eventually gets it right 😭
He did the same with the warriors last year. He said nobody was beating the Suns last year and then at the end picked the warriors over Boston 😂
@@nickolasm404 he’ll do it again next year and act the same way lool
Nick has done the same
He is just doing it cause of Nick
He pikced the nets😂
Yep.This is GOLDEN.
NICK: you guys were right.
BROU & WILDES: (puts shade back on at 3:40)
ME: 💀
16:09 the sync 😳😂
Proposal for new By law Amendment: No analyst or host shall be permitted to wear victory sunglasses unless the team that won the championship was their pick at the start of the season. 😄
Wildes actually deserved to celebrate but Chris??? Chris just jumps on bandwagons & then has the nerve lmaoo pls
you’re on point but he’s likable so nobody really notices/cares 😂😂😂
With Shannon Sharpe gone from Undisputed, this is now officially the best sports show out there rn
Congrats to the Denver Nuggets 👏🏀🔥
I am so glad Brousard brought up the point of people relying too heavy on rings when ranking and comparing players. There are players who've never won rings that are better than players who led or were major contributors to championship teams.
Curse of Brou over??
Yes it's over 😊
I love how “bend the knee” has become a phrase now just because of Game of Thrones 😂
As much as I want posterity like Brou, there's no way I'm putting George Mikan over Bill Walton in my all-time Centers list. Dude gave Portland its one and only championship. The dude won a MVP and Finals MVP prior to his injuries. Heck, even after injuries, he still managed to win Sixth Man of the Year when he was in Boston. Not to mention, he's also a 2x NCAA Champion and 3x National Player of the Year. What a beast.
Nicks comments about looking back on Jokers MVP awards being the worst ones in league history are looking pretty stupid right now. Embid getting it this year was a sympathy award because he was crying about it and they didn't want to give it to Joker a 3rd year. These analyist are looking pretty dumb right about now.... yes it is a regular season award but that doesn't change the fact that they got it wrong. Grats Nuggets, the most disrespected number 1 seed that nobody was picking.
How do you celebrate picking the obvious clear favourite lol
Because of who the other guy is
