I wouldn't see myself as an Uncharted fan. I liked every game but up until now Drake's Fortune is the Uncharted game I associate with the best time I've ever had with the series. Back in early 2008 when I was just 16 years old I played the game with a friend of mine and I easily fell in love with the characters, the Set pieces, the atmosphere and the feeling of being a treasure hunter. It was simply unmatched with later installments in the series although they are objectively seen better games. No, for me the first chapter of the series is still my favorite and you, Robin bring some great arguments on the table why I still have a lot of good memories about this game. As always I love your content and your way of presenting it. Thank you.
Love the Uncharted series just as much as you! Really appriciate your passion for the series and fully enjoy all of your coverage and videos of the series. Reviews and so on, keep up the great work.
I bought a ps4 pro in 2017 i was 15 then. late 2017 i bought uncharted 4 a thiefs end. i absolutely loved it after finishing my first ever playthrough on crushing, I bought the uncharted collection just about a year ago. But I just can't get through the first game... the controls are not easy for me. they are just not streamlined... but i will once beat all games on brutal.
Dude I love uncharted and love when you make videos on it. I hope this series never ends I love these types of games exploring jungles and ruins unfortunately as far as I know there isn't many games like this out there besides tomb raider.
@@sumojoe1188 that's why i think they should realese their games on pc after a fell years. You could play online on steam, or maybe create a pirate server to play in the future. The remaster version for ps4 does not has the multiplayer, which is sad.

When I was 4 years old, my dad showed me Uncharted on the PS3 he just got for me and my little brother. He had just gotten to the section where Sully had just died. I watched him play through this game to UC3. This game holds lots of nostalgia to me, as it was a great game, and when I was 6 years old, my dad died in a car accident, as he was a police officer. Whenever I play these games, it reminds me of my dad, who I miss a lot, especially when I'm play Drake's Fortune. I felt like A Thieve's End proved a satisfying and emotional end for me. Sic Parvis Magna, and keep up the great videos that I know your channel for!
Just like how you talk about that trip and the 20 Euros you spent on the first Uncharted, I always think back to the first days I found your channel after I'd completed the first entry in the series. I found a channel that loved UC as much, if not more than myself, and ever since then, my source for all things Uncharted has been right here. Thanks for the journey and all the memories, Robin.
He's talked about it at least 3/4 times, and i appreciate it. Reminds me of the time where i first played Drake's Fortune (and it was just the demo). I was amazed, even at 8/9 years old. I only started playing it after my older brother, but we later ended up getting the game in all its glory. I can say it taught me what games can be or what they are at such a level (i didnt grow up with MGS and all). My favorite game series, period.
I dunno why I didn't enjoyed when I played UC1 and UC2 and UC3 When I really REALLY enjoyed last of us 1 and also A plague tale innocence Guess Everyone have their own different tastes In Games
The best franchise in video game history. Nate's love for adventure is what made this game what it is. He allowed us to come along for the ride while meeting some amazing people throughout his journey, this is more than just a video game.
Amazing video man.I myself am a HUGE Uncharted fan and watching this video I realised you are too.Another thing I realised is that no one could explain a masterpiece like this better than you.
I asked my parents for the Nathan Drake Collection PS4 Bundle in November 2015. I spent the entire month of waiting for Christmas watching your old Uncharted videos and have been here ever since! Uncharted Drake's Fortune was my PS4 game and got me into the gaming industry.
All 4 main Uncharted games are fucking masterpieces. Each one holds a very deep, nostalgic and special place in my heart. And Golden Abyss and The Lost Legacy are also amazing in their own rights, one being a boundary-pushing handheld game that’s arguably just as good as Drake’s Fortune and the other being an incredibly satisfying spinoff. Few series have reached this level of quality and respect.
The way I got into Uncharted was that when my brother got a PS4 it also came with the Nathan Drake collection. We didnt know anything about it, but we had it so we played anyway, and man, did we fall in love with the games. I was just barely able to finish the 3rd game before 4 came out.
The music alone gives me the feelings i had back then! I love this series so much! When U4 came out i waited a year to play it after i bought it... I didn’t want it to end and when i finaly played it i was happy and sad at the end... i know it sounds weird but i never had that with a game. This is by far the best single player series by a mile, even Lost Legacy was very good even without Drake in it...
Majin Buu11 I disagree about Lost Legacy. I can't stand Nadine. She ruined that dlc. Also God of War gives Uncharted a run for its money for best single player franchise.
When I heard that music and the logo popped up on the screen I nearly cried. the same happened for when I got the uncharted anniversary theme for ps4 when I loaded it up and was set in the home screen and the music started playing I cried because of how this game impacted my life and how it changed the way I gamed from there on out. I've played every single one on release date from start to finish and when I heard that music I became an emotional train wreck of emotion.
Uncharted was my childhood. I love it so much wish i could go back to it. Remember playing those games for the first time being so hooked. Just one more level...
I had an similar experience discovering this game. I was in Denmark with my family and saw it in a game store. Didnt really know what it was about, but from what i could tell from the box it looked like a Indiana Jones type of game. Been a big fan of the series and Naughty dog ever since
Uncharted 2 was my first in the series. Loved that game. Got 3, loved it too. Then played 1 and it was also awesome. Moral of the story: every game was awesome in its own right. Truly wish for an uncharted 5 (featuring Drake & Sully of course. No, dont care if it is placed somewhere in between other games etc. I just want more of those two!)
I still remember that bunker segment. Still gives me the creeps to this day and it is for that very reason my favorite part of the game. I actually would have done the same thing as you, passing the controller to a friend to beat it for me just because how scared I was. But the problem was that I had no friends who owned the game. XD So I was left on my own to deal with my fears.
TheOVJM Oh my god I know that feeling. The game slowly built up the interactions with those “creatures”. First the footprints by the booby trap. Then in the underground cavern you heard them jumping up to the ceiling and screaming. Then you fought them with Eddy. Then the bunker sequence was the worst.
I'm missing uncharted and all of the joy it brought me. Looking back at your videos has helped me recapture the initial glee and awe I felt when playing through this monumental titles the first time and I thank you for that.
I played Uncharted Drake’s Fortune back in December, that was my 100th platinum and my first ever PS3 game back in 2008 when I first got my PS3. I’m on the road to platinum Uncharted 2: Among Thieves currently.
Uncharted Drake’s Fortune is so good, I loved the island, Nate, Sully and Elena were all great characters, Eddy Raja was a really cool character, it was great to see him and Nate team up towards the end, the story was good, lots of fun action and exploration along with a great sense of mystery throughout the game, the Descendants, especially the Bunker section was really well done, great game still enjoy replaying it 👏👏👏👏
Despite being the oldest and graphically/gameplay wise the clunkest, this game is my favorite of all the 5 Uncharted games. There is just something simple, no nonsense pure adventuring that this game provides that I find endearing. The focus on a single island and the secrets that it holds is beautifully captured with it's classic popcorn summer blockbuster movie like story. The PS4 remastering is just PERFECT.
I bought the Trilogy edition for PS4 and A Thief’s End, did an Uncharted marathon on Crushing. Took me about a week but I did it, collected all the treasure too. Love this franchise so much
That end theme song is so iconic, everytime i hear it, it gives me goosebumbs and shivers... such a fantastic franchise, which i play through the series at least once a year... im hoping the last of us franchise has a similar impact as the 1st was a near masterpiece in story telling games.
I had such a hard time playing this game and genuinely enjoying myself. What it was was incredible for 2007, but I made the mistake of playing the third game first and working my way back to see the entire journey of Nathan Drake. I love uncharted, I think it’s one of those franchises that are just unforgettable. The game definitely has that naughty dog charm.
Man I’d love to see more Uncharted games. Thankfully that’ll most likely happen. If I were in charge of Uncharted I’d make a Sam trilogy soon continuing the stories of the characters we’ve been introduced to already (Cutter definitely needs to return I wouldn’t even mind if he’s recast for that to happen). And after that a Cassie trilogy with mostly all new characters but they would have to account for the future setting. To keep things in the family. U4 was Nate’s adventure done but doesn’t have to be the series ending.
Im replaying this for the first time since I was 13. I can't believe it is 15 years old. Sure it's a remake but it is incredible how great this game still is.
Idk why this guy is so underrated.I truly have no idea.Him talking gives me goosebumps. His content is literally the best.He goes deep into his games. He needs more recognition.❤
Just bought it a week ago and finished this game today. Even against recent releases this game holds its own as a game everyone should play. Love the video. Now on to uncharted 2... Great content, you have another subscriber.
Your work here on youtube is absolutely fenomenal. It's content like this that reminds me why I decided to make games for a living a couple decades ago, for just regular kids who love to immerse themselves in deep stories and life changing experiences through gaming, because I am that kid too. Games can be so god damn magical. Some of the earlier naughty dog work was really groundbreaking.
I just started my journey through the uncharted series for the second time and still is exhilarating . Playing the remastered version because I had no idea what a masterpiece this was back on ps3. Great job on the video man!!
I still remember that January when I went to GameStop the second time of my LIFE! We were at the mall and my dad gave me 20$ and I wanted a new game for my PS4 Then I asked the cashier how much GTS was Then how much Uncharted 4 was And I got U4 And my life changed!
My favorite Uncharted. This game will be in my heart forever. No matter how much I despised it on Crushing, Brutal. The other 2 games were literally 100x harder on brutal.
Uncharted drakes fortune was an amazing game and on crushing the hardest of all the four uncharted games in 2007 it was revolutionary played it several times !!!
savariaxa Believe me, Crushing is NOTHING if you played and beat this game on Brutal. I did it, but at the cost of losing a couple of years of my lifespan.
WOW!! This came up on my recommended list this morning and I really enjoyed it. Having missed The Uncharted Series the first time, I was encouraged to play "4" after loving "The Last of Us". I figured it would be better to start at the beginning. So started the sporadic work through all 4 of the series...and now the last one to play through. Wanted to let you know I loved the video and the work you put into it!!! Keep it up!! BTW - Loved how you shared your childhood memory of first playing it.
That's awesome man! Really hope you'll enjoy the 4th one. Trust me, you'll be glad you played the others first. 4 Is much slower but serves hugely as a payoff to the others. Its biggest moments aren't necessarily the set pieces or environments, but the way it closes the story.
@@MiddlesexBD Ah my bad I understood it wrongly then! TLL is great too. Its a small seperate side adventure but it's a lot of fun. Great pacing and a few standout moments :)
Fantastic video, Robin! Reminds me of the time where i first played Drake's Fortune (and it was just the demo). I was amazed and i only started playing it after my older brother, but we later ended up getting the full game in all its glory. Definitely was more terrified at the cursed spaniards being a literal 9 year old, probably. I can say it taught me what games can be or what they are at such a level. My favorite game series, period.
I remember playing this game over a decade ago. I got the 160GB PS3 with the Uncharted 1 bundle. I was 11 years old and it was the only game I had. I played it over and over again. I remember watching the teaser video of Among Thieves, with the train cutscene. It absolutely blew my mind watching it on my Sony VAIO laptop at 480p resolution haha. I absolutely love the franchise, it's my favorite of all time. Thank you Robin for making such a wonderful and detailed video about this game (and hopefully the rest of the series!). I cannot wait for the rest. Cheers man.
I also bought Uncharted: Drake‘s Fortune also by sheer coincidence knowing nothing about it. I too remember that day vividly, although my story isn‘t as extraordinary as yours. Little did I know that this purchase would embark me on a thrilling, touching journey through nearly 10 years. Amazing characters, great stories, groundbreaking animation and voice work. Uncharted is a true treasure of our times. Thanks for reminding me @RobinGaming
On the 27th of December 2015 I had the choice to either buy Fifa 16 or Uncharted TNDC As you can probably guess I picked Uncharted but little did I know and having never played an Uncharted game in my life what turned out to be a difficult decision would be the greatest one I ever made. Thank you Robin this video has bought back great memories of playing Drakes Fortune for the first time.
I know I'm late, but this is a fantastic video! I only recently played Uncharted 1 for the first time, so I obviously have very different opinions on it, but the love and appreciation you have for this game is something i think every GaMeR can relate to in their own way. Reminds me of why i have this hobby in the first place❤
What a great video / tribute this was, Robin. I always love it when you talk in depth about any game that left a big mark on you, and also on many gamers like me. Uncharted 1 is truly a unique experience and one of the best games I've ever played, even if it wasn't the best Uncharted for me, but neither the worst :) Looking forward to the Among Thieves one! :D
yeah until september, its gonna be a sad day. Uncharted 3 was like the last game that gave us an amazing story, co-op and multiplayer. Don't see games put content out like that anymore.
I totally know how you feel. I picked up a PS3 in late 2009 and this was the first game I bought for it. Instantly I was looked and I've loved the series ever since. Drake's Fortune, though dated in some ways, still holds up and I can go back to it anytime. Great retrospective!
Love this game, I have unlock everything in both ps3 and ps4 versions, first play it in 2009, srsly since that moment uncharted became one of my favorite franchises. I remember going to school on Friday and when I came home my family were using the TV in which the ps3 was conectted, so I use to wake up saturday at 6am to play all the morning Sorry for my bad english Im not a native speaker
i revisited today for the nostalgia...i agree with your review 110%- all the way word by word...how it made me feel ...how it makes me feel today..its like you expressed my thoughts througout! god bless you and your channel for all those years!! ps i discovered our common passion for this series after playing uc2 mp for the first time! oh what a day that was!!( momastery -deatmatch i recall it like it was yesterday)
Great video as always, Robin! For me, the only glaring issue Uncharted 1 has is that there's way too much combat into it. Many times, you stumble into some mysterious ruins, you want to explore to find all of its secrets or information on its civilization, but nope! Destroy 40 pirates, first! Other than that, it's still a great game indeed!
Every other channel makes videos about games but you my friend make videos about legendary games. And for that reason I respect you and I have subscribed to your channel and wish you good look for this channel. I hope you keep creating videos like these which are worth watching and enjoyable at the same time.
I always felt my friends should experience this masterpiece with me so I started playing them with her, and she fell in love with the games and it makes me so happy.
I just finished this game. It had been 8-9 years since I first beat the game. The game hasn’t aged well as far as gameplay and graphics but this is a great introduction to the series. This really built the foundation for Uncharted.
I really love Uncharted I missed out on the PS3 era, buy once I got my PS4 I bought the uncharted collection and fell in love with it after I finished the first game and happened to come by on Uncharted Collenction Special Edition and UC4 special edition and couldn't resist to buy it, I loved it so much I bought the entire 5 game collection and gave it to my best friend for he's birthday to share how amazing those games are..
I am Dutch too, and I remember buying this game and other games after school in the free record shop. Or e-plaza and my local game store. Good times indeed.
I loved this game. This is the first game I got when I got the PS3. The game came bundled with the PS3. I was struggle so hard at the beginning since it dropped you in the action so fast. The zombies part was scary too. I was in school back then, so I can only played at night during weekend.
i can totally relate. i first bought a ps3 back in 2009 and bought the game soon after. then bought uncharted 2, 3 and 4 as they came out. sold the game and then re-bought later. then on the ps4 bought the drake collection again. and uncharted 4 brought back memories of the past games and rebought the collection. but now after my brother took my ps4 during the move and i haven't been able buy it again. i still want to play the lost legacy game. will do that when i buy the ps5 i guess.
I just discovered your channel. Great Content. I love your uncharted videos. I bought U1 also 2009 ( but I am way older than you) and because of nostalgia this is my favorite one. And without nostalgia it is the second. I like that the first both game are in one location for the most part of the game. It feel more like a adventure and journey to me like the other games, where you jump from one location to a other.
Uncharted 4 is my favourite game ever! It's difficult to explain how good I feel when playing Nathan Drake, the story, the gameplay, the characters, the natural landscapes, all the treasures for discover,it's un extraordinary good game

Josh K I think the next one will be of Nate's Mother in the 60's flower power era. Like Austin Powers!
Im replaying this for the first time since I was 13. I can't believe it is 15 years old. Sure it's a remake but it is incredible how great this game still is.
Man graphics are still amazing like hell
Idk why this guy is so underrated.I truly have no idea.Him talking gives me goosebumps. His content is literally the best.He goes deep into his games. He needs more recognition.❤
Just bought it a week ago and finished this game today. Even against recent releases this game holds its own as a game everyone should play. Love the video. Now on to uncharted 2...
Great content, you have another subscriber.
I would kill for a 4k or 8k nathan drake collection remaster on the PS5
Your work here on youtube is absolutely fenomenal. It's content like this that reminds me why I decided to make games for a living a couple decades ago, for just regular kids who love to immerse themselves in deep stories and life changing experiences through gaming, because I am that kid too. Games can be so god damn magical. Some of the earlier naughty dog work was really groundbreaking.
Thanks a lot Helder! That's awesome to hear :D
I just started my journey through the uncharted series for the second time and still is exhilarating . Playing the remastered version because I had no idea what a masterpiece this was back on ps3. Great job on the video man!!
i recently started a playthrough of the entire series
currently at 4
this is truly a masterpiece
I'm glad Drakes Fortune did as well as it did. If it didn't who knows if we would have gotten the incredible Among Thieves two years later.
I still remember that January when I went to GameStop the second time of my LIFE! We were at the mall and my dad gave me 20$ and I wanted a new game for my PS4
Then I asked the cashier how much GTS was
Then how much Uncharted 4 was
And I got U4
And my life changed!
I've been replaying the series over the last couple weeks and still love it as much as when I first played them years ago
Yet another incredible video!! It's made me desperate to go back and play it a fourth time as soon as I can!!
This video was amazing, your uncharted coverage is always the best on TH-cam. Can't wait for you to do the same thing with Uncharted 2.
The creatures part was scary af back when I was little. Still kinda is lmao
My favorite Uncharted. This game will be in my heart forever. No matter how much I despised it on Crushing, Brutal. The other 2 games were literally 100x harder on brutal.
My very FIRST PS3 game. That's why, this & Uncharted 2 are my 2 top Uncharted 😍😍
XmantheSlayer yeah haha after doing brutal, crushing seems easy. That bloody truck turret segment...
@@xavierortiz5918 why do you guys torture yourselves like this...
Dude. You think people play Crushing for the challenge. That’s a stroll in the park compared to Brutal. Now that’s a challenge!
RobinGaming I have played 1-4..the 5th one is the last one haven’t done yet...the lost legacy..thoughts?
Thank you for sharing your experience in real life along with the game, loved the script Robin. Keep going, I am a big fan ❤️
Thanks Mohamed!
Greatness started from this very small beginning
we need co-op and multiplayer from uncharted 2 & 3 on ps4.
Believe it or not... the Uncharted 2 servers are still up!
yeah until september, its gonna be a sad day. Uncharted 3 was like the last game that gave us an amazing story, co-op and multiplayer. Don't see games put content out like that anymore.
Wearing a Sic - Parvis - Magna necklace to this day, so glad you create this content! Thank you!
I totally know how you feel. I picked up a PS3 in late 2009 and this was the first game I bought for it. Instantly I was looked and I've loved the series ever since. Drake's Fortune, though dated in some ways, still holds up and I can go back to it anytime. Great retrospective!
An amazing video like always Robin. loved it from the beginning till the end :) Would love to see part 2 3 and 4 in the future! x)
Love this game, I have unlock everything in both ps3 and ps4 versions, first play it in 2009, srsly since that moment uncharted became one of my favorite franchises.
I remember going to school on Friday and when I came home my family were using the TV in which the ps3 was conectted, so I use to wake up saturday at 6am to play all the morning
Sorry for my bad english Im not a native speaker
i revisited today for the nostalgia...i agree with your review 110%- all the way word by word...how it made me feel ...how it makes me feel today..its like you expressed my thoughts througout! god bless you and your channel for all those years!!
ps i discovered our common passion for this series after playing uc2 mp for the first time! oh what a day that was!!( momastery -deatmatch i recall it like it was yesterday)
I love your channel bro. Your videos are amazing. When they are uncharted videos, they instantly become a 100 times better.
Just getting to play these games for the first time. One of the greatest series I have played in a long time.
Exactly! I was annoyed by the combat in the later half of the game. But at least you get more powerful weapons towards the end
Every other channel makes videos about games but you my friend make videos about legendary games. And for that reason I respect you and I have subscribed to your channel and wish you good look for this channel. I hope you keep creating videos like these which are worth watching and enjoyable at the same time.
the intro was awesome... This game series really did rock the videogame world. A timeless series that noone will forget!
What a good feel video. Well done robin. I've always been curious to see this game get a remake treatment.. maybe one day
It has a special place in my heart
One of my first PS3 games alongside Resistance: Fall of Man and Ratchet & Clank Future TOD
Great video Robin, makes me want to replay the entire series.
Thanks for reminding me why I absolutely love this game (and the whole series, of course!) :D
Fantasties, goeie kwaliteit soos altyd!
Zuid Afrikaans? Dankjewel! Altijd grappig hoe onze talen verschillen maar we het wel kunnen lezen en begrijpen :D
Robin if your reading this. you made a great quality video talking about uncharted😄
I just discovered your channel. Great Content. I love your uncharted videos.
I bought U1 also 2009 ( but I am way older than you) and because of nostalgia this is my favorite one. And without nostalgia it is the second.
I like that the first both game are in one location for the most part of the game. It feel more like a adventure and journey to me like the other games, where you jump from one location to a other.
how do you know how old he is? he never said it in his videos.
@@honor6200 well he mention in the beginng of the video he was on a school trip when he bought the game. I finished university 2007...
@@Eichward_SKV oh ok.
I’ve been playing the uncharted collection on my PS4 Pro; it’s still a blast visually and very engaging.
Been a day 1 robin fan, even made the top 10 plays of the week. Miss those days
Omg uncharted song 😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭 to many memories!!!!!! Love all uncharted games!!!!!!
One thing I loved about lost legacy were the puzzles. They were definitely some of the best and most challenging
LOVE the throwback Robin! Echt zaaalige video! Keep 'em coming!
I thought I played drakes fortune a lot when I beat it 3 times and I’m starting my 4th soon but got damn 20 times robin is a beast
Most underrated franchise ever
????????????????????????????
Its one of the most popular gaming franchises ever! It sold 30 million copies !! Are you drunk?????
Uncharted is awesome and popular. If anything, the Jak & Daxter series is underrated!
i hate how so many people just bashes this game down, it has it's flaws but come on, it's one of a kind ❤
Uncharted 4 is my favourite game ever! It's difficult to explain how good I feel when playing Nathan Drake, the story, the gameplay, the characters, the natural landscapes, all the treasures for discover,it's un extraordinary good game
Uncharted will always have special place in my heart. It was 2008 for me and days were bright
Great video Robin! Been awhile since I watched you! Agree on your points totally! Still a special place in my heart!
