We prepare this chutney during jackfruit season. We used to mix the seeds with mud and dry them and store for rainy season. Either dry roast them or put them in embers, roast and eat. Feels divine
We bengalis use this jackfruit seeds in different ways we put in dal nd make it we put it in patrani nd make patrani jackfruit seed, fry it with ghee nd coconut, nd different curries
Most people have migrated from kerala to Coorg.., language is similar too. We also call jackfruit Chakka and its seeds chakka kuru. Nellu for rice .., payasam for kheer
Roasted jackfruit seeds are yum. We would put in the embers of the chulha in the village. Tasted remarkably like roasted chestnuts, a winter treat in London!
In Assam, we boil and also roast the jackfruit seed to make a similar chutney/ pitika. We also enjoy the jackfruit seeds cooked with lentils. Tastes like sweet potato chunks with texture 😊
In tamils and kerala too we make chakka seeds upkari i.e. curry with fresh coconut . The seeds are also added to sambar and many other curries ! We had a attukaal i.e. stone grinder in our house sadly we keft it in our old house .
Lemon juice and ghee were listed as ingredients in the Jackfruit chutney, but the recipe did not show them being used. Would you remember how they were incorporated? Could you please share? 😊
Adding Neem flower to sweet dishes is such a good idea. This way of making deserts is boon for diabetic patients. From now onwards, I will add crushed Neem leaves into my sweet dishes. This way, I can enjoy my deserts with Neem's qualities. Our ancestors were great cooks n added all ingredients which were healthy for mind n body. Bow to all our Ancestors 🙏
@@deeptiranganathan9438 Keri or kairi is unripe mangoes or baby mangoes. You cook then whole yo extract sour juice out of it and add jaggery to adjust for sweetness, along with cardamom, pepper powder and garnish it with neem flowers.

Aw the voice over in another language is so loud i could hardly hear what the lady explaining in english is saying. And there's no english subtitle either. Do you have a link to the original vid without the voice over in another language?
Who is imposing.?The channel has every right to speak in a language most Indians understand. If at all there was a issue, she should have said so. Why are you fore-deciding for her?
This is like a 10 years old show telecasted on a beautiful Hindi channel called EPIC CHANNEL. They have started uploading episodes to TH-cam recently. Stop with HINDI, IMPOSING BLAH BLAH BLAH.

For Ugaadi, we Kannadigas make panaka, which is made from keri, jaggery with neem flowers in it, to symbolize the sweet-sour-bitter facts of life.

This also brings out the stark reality that pesticide and insecticide use is preventing growth of the fish required for this dish.

Aditya bal knows good english.. Why couldnt he speak in English??
❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍🌷🌷🌷🌷
Very hard to concentrate Hindi English mixed. Lady would have done a better job herself cooking without him getting more likes.
The interviewer is himself middle aged! Why is he calling her aunty?
Why insist on Hindi?
We have get coorgis DNA tested to prove their origin 😂😂😂. They happen to be na idhar ka na udhar ka!!!😂😂
Recipe good but this lady doesn't know to use that grinding stone. Handheld part is in upside down position, that is not the grinding method.
