I think essence is still the affordable side of drugstore, most brand are really getting up there in price. Beautiful look and the powder looked really natural and that is a perfect shade for you.
@@flawedfabulous I know and I totally understand. I just can't think of any other brand except those two with actual drugstore prices, at least not available to me in Europe. The prices had gone way up it's ridiculous.
@@Nina-jc3be yes, I'm in the UK and things seem so high priced here. Milani is technically drugstore but one of their palettes was almost £30... way too much especially considering it was around 20 dollars in the us.
The Essence Stay 8h Waterproof Lipliners are my favorite drugstore lipliners. The shade “Just Perfect” is literally just perfect. It’s a gorgeous pinky browny shade that will go with anything!
I love your complexion like this, fair. Would you consider doing a video on skin tints and light foundations in this, your natural skintone? I watch so many, trying to find shades, as I am fair like you, but so many creators have deeper or self-tanned skin, that it is so hard to tell. Plus your lighting is so much natural, and the looks you create are always so nice, natural or bold.
That's really interesting and cool that the powder foundation still looked flattering on your acne texture even when applied with a brush and a buffing motion - my instinct would be to carefully tap and press into those areas with a sponge or puff applicator to avoid stirring up any flaky bits from my scars/dry patches. But it's encouraging to hear that even without doing that, it looks very nice and forgiving. It's mind-blowing that a $7 powder can have such an amazing formula.
I also really liked the satin blushes that have been discontinued but the newer ones that replaced them are really good too. I have all the shades and my favorite is Befitting. I agree that Essence seems to discontinue products frequently. I really hope they never discontinue the pure nude highlighter. I love it.
Essence eyeshadows, especially the eyeshadow palette colors, are gorgeous and applies so smoothly. It goes on buttery smooth, goes on more beautifully than many of the other better known drugstore names.
Essence is one of my favorite drugstore brands, too. They’re so affordable and still have really great products and formulas. Definitely need to try that powder foundation. 🤗
I've been waiting for that powder foundation to come to my town.. we tend to get things late. I also love that steep of using the powder to clean up the eye look. I always do that because i'm not great with blending and it always makes it look seamless! Its another good way to finish a powder that has large pan, if you can't get a big brush around, you can use it to set eyeshadow primer or blend out shadows!
I love the liner you hate - I love the thick marker tip. I can just press it pointing up and make a perfect wing. However, to be fair, I tend to go more neutral next to my lashes so it shows up just fine. I'm a redhead with lighter coloring so I really appreciate your videos.
could you try the essence the blush line please! no one talks about or compares any of the shades yet somehow is a fave for a lot of people. love your videos x
Good morning! SO excited for this Affordable Friday! 😊 I just heard that Rimmel has become cruelty free! (YAAAAYYYYYY! 🐶😺🐰) Would you be willing to do a full face of new makeup using Rimmel products? Since they were previously not CF, i never purchased from them, though some of their products look really pretty. I want to try the brand, and am happy to support them now that they are CF, but i'm not sure where to start.
Kelly, will you please produce a video about your Fall/Winter makeup trends, 2022? Of course, whatever looks good on you is always in style. Your makeup and skin always look flawless. I really like it when you wear green eyeshadow; it's particularly flattering on you. You can do wonders with even less than stellar formulas.Thank you for always giving us your honest opninion!☺ P..S. I'm coming to YOUR house for supper! I'll bring coffee and dessert! 😊
I have some Essence products that I really enjoy, their mascara, banana powder and blush in Befitting are favorites. I am glad that I have access to them at my local CVS. Nice job on 100K subscribers!
I'm always so afraid of powder foundation. I feel its going to make my skin look drier and I won't get the coverage I want unless it's caked on...love your channel Kelly. All the way from Ireland 🇮🇪 😊❤
Don’t be! With the right primer and setting spray it looks great. I have a video glowy with all powder products if you are curious skip to end to see results!
The right powder foundation applied in a certain way can look great and not dry and cakey. Like Kelly said the og Bareminerals mineral foundation is great for dry skin because it's not matte it has a glow to it. Plus if you apply it the way it's supposed to be applied it can be built to full coverage . I personally don't live it on me built to full coverage but to medium and using the swirl, tap buff method it looks like a liquid foundation.
You are a magician when it comes to mascara. I have such a hard time when it comes to putting on mascara. People say to look down, but I can't do that and then here you are fluttering your eyelashes with the mascara. Amazing :)
I like our pale skin especially for the fall/Halloween season. We give off vampire ghost vibes 😂 My profile pic was taken in summer I’m much lighter, I’m the lightest cool tone shade in ur fave kokie foundation
I picked up the essence powder foundation and have been using it to set the face after foundation and interesting enough, the shade brown sugar is pretty much identical to the flower beauty perfecting powder in caramel. The end result I want to say is similar even though when swatching the flower beauty one feels smoother. I believe too the essence one has more coverage.
I love too the glow serum primer from Essence, have you tried the face oil with rosehip seed oil from Essence too? It’s also soo good. Love your channel, greetings from Spain
I like their old, reliable products like Lash Princess in the purple tube & Make Me Brow. I never bought Gimme Brow again after discovering the Make Me Brow. Their Pure Nude highlighter and a couple of their face powders are also pretty good. But I'd be reluctant to try any coverage type products, and their Blushes either don't pack enough punch or they fade rather quickly.
Great video! I bought all of the eye shadow palettes and I love the colors. But a lot of it ends up under my eyes after a while. I use primer, but it doesn't seem to help. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Hi Kelly!!!! First of all , congratulations on your 100k subscribers!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏Secondly , Essence is also my favorite drugstore brand!! Great video! Greetings from Argentina!😘😘
I've never loved the essence mascaras. I've tried the lash princess in a couple versions and I just never got great lashes. Everyone raves about it but I just don't see it.
does essence have both the healthy glow and matte version of their concealer in america ? cause i prefer the glowy version shade range is hot garbage though :/
Recently got a Catrice 5 in a box palette in the shade Elegant khaki look which shades seems very close to the ND mini retro. Can you do review please? 🥰
I used a concealer from Essence which covered well, but the scent was terrible. There is no reason to put "old lady perfume" scents in cosmetics, none! BTW, Kelly, congratulations on 100K subs! I've been watching you since 2018. ❤️

Congrats on 100k followers 🍾

That foundation is a daily staple for me!!
Do you wear it as a powder foundation or setting powder??
Setting powder over foundation. Or on light days, I use a bit of the Danessa Myricks balm and concealer and set with this and it’s perfect!

I was very impressed with it

Hi Kelly! New sub :) could plz tell me the video title for how to apply powder foundation?. And hello from Canada 🇨🇦!.

That primer is out of stock everywhere. I put myself on the email list at ultra a while ago, and it's not back yet. ☹️
What shade did you get in the new essence highlighter?
congrats on 100K!!! 🎊
I'm wondering if the blush is long lasting
I didn’t notice any fading!
I haven’t used the mosaic one but their regular blush last long on me. I have oily skin and it’s hard to find blushes that don’t melt off my face lol
I have the Beauty Creations powder foundation I use it as a setting powder

I’ve seen Essence at drugstores near me both here in NYC and when I lived in Michigan. So I would definitely consider them “drugstore” :)
Here in Europe almost ever drugstore has Essence makeup, idk where you live
Btw I live in the Netherlands☺️
Gorgeous look! You’ve inspired me to pull those products out and play 💛🧡🤎🍁
