FINALLY Someone who is honest and not promoting crap products to us, thank you for being so transparent, we need more of this online
I love how you mentioned your eczema and pores. I used to struggle so much with them! After having a consistent great skin care routine things have gotten a lot better so I completely understand your skincare priorities! 💕
Yes! I’m glad you feel the same way! 🥰
I just love that she mentioned that she had eczema. Keeping it real.
Wow. This was an extremely high quality video. Excellent lighting and camera, straight to the point. Subscribed.
thanks for the compliments! it’s so helpful to know the set up is working! 😄❤️
Thank you for not putting music!! It’s so much less stimulating
Yes but on the other hand it was hard for me to stay focused as she speaks like a bot, lifeless. Although the content is very interesting
It's your problem, not the creators. You can't cater to everyone
@@KarolinaS-zt1kl Yes it is my opinion 😅 and I am free to speak up.
@@Goez1988 nah love, your crappy "opinion" serves your only to be rude to the creator. Not valid at all. Some people should keep their mouth shut. Internet made you think that your opinion is important, it is not.
@@Goez1988 also, there is a problem, a big problem if you can't stay focused for 24 minutes! Normally, 7 year old children can. You should act to improve it.
I love your voice! You have one of the most calming voices ever. Also, thank you for putting a test to these products and even admitting that social media will make your opinion different. But you choose to tell us your true opinion about the products. I think this can help save a lot of people money and also, help find other products that are even better and less expensive☺️💅🏽
thanks for the compliment! yes I find it too easy to get persuaded and follow the crowd of opinions. but makeup and skincare is so personal, what works depends on your skin, climate and preferences so it’s never bad to get multiple opinions! yes! I love finding dupes for makeup! thanks again for your comments 🥰
I don't think I've come across someone like you in a while- so sensible, organized, informative. AND you're a working girl?? subscribed
I enjoyed this video. Good explanation of why you placed products in the various categories.
thank you for your comments! ❤️
I use Dior backstage face and body with a toner, moisturizer, and nicinamide and I haven’t had any issues with pilling or with using my beauty blender. Maybe it’s just the combo of specific skin prep that we use that causes the different result.
same i wrote comment saying exactly what you said , i use it with mac studio fix primer + niacinamide and so far its best foundation i found on market , none of the mac studio fix foundation are as good as dior backstage .
Thank you both for your comments! It’s always beneficial to hear how things work on you even if I personally prefer others over them! Which SPF do you like underneath the Dior backstage glow?
@@Kurineku good to know i was wondering if mac foundation is just as good...backstage is my go to for several years already
I loved the production of this video. You got right into each product and were so eloquent. Love it!!
For those that hate the black honey lipstick I’d recommend using the black honey gloss they have instead! I found the Clinique black honey gloss at Marshall’s for about 8 dollars and I love it. It’s not my favorite gloss formula ever (it’s a little sticky for my tastes) but I do find it hydrating and to have the same beautiful color!
@jessawall3510 I hate the color though! 😂
@ Tough. My comment was for the people who liked the color but hated the lack of hydration.
I agree! I got the black honey gloss for Christmas and I love it! Although I’ve never tried the almond stick, the gloss is very good imo. The color is very good too since I like having more dark make up.
I love Dior foundation. Super nice for open pores and dry to normal skin type.
and amazing for oily skin with acne. Looks lovely on the skin...
Same I love the Dior foundation. I wear it daily, perfect for my skin ♥
You provided very well-argued information and a lot of details about each product. I liked that you didn't put music in the background and didn't intervene with side subjects along the way that would have made us lose our focus. Amazing video! 👏
You are SO refreshing, thank you!!! And never be sorry we want to hear your honest opinion
I hate black honey. Was not impressed.
I personally LOVE IT! Try dabbing it on the middle of your lips for a natural look, or using it over a brown liner.
The shade is so pretty AND that’s it, the packaging and smell are so bad. Also it dries your lips 🥲
@yesss i know ! i like the sheer color but the smell and texture is not it!!
I love black honey
@@skychesspl I hate the packaging but mine has no smell, when did you buy yours?
absolutely loved this video. so refreshing and ofc, honest:) i have pretty much the same needs/conditions as you-would you mind sharing the foundations/skin tints you mentioned work well with your sunscreens of choice and layer well with skincare??
the rare beauty highlighter is literally everything omg
This really resonated with me! I’m pretty simple/lazy with makeup/hair care. So I usually spend a little more on products. But they better work for the price that I pay 😂
Thank you for your comment! 🥰 Yes! Yes they better 😬
Makeup are so expensive and bit the bullet trying tirtir. I got the sample packet and i realize I was between two warm shade and thankfully their new shades filled that gap between and it's the perfect shade! This is the the first foundation that didn't break me out by the end of the day. For me it does cling to dry area which makes sense since it's a semi-matte/satin finish. I just make sure I prep my skin good. I'm about to finish my mini one and already placed an order for a full size one.
I'm so happy I found your channel 💕 I'm interested to see how the tirtir primer in beige works on your skin with the mac foundation. Also the Canmake UV mermaid sunscreen in yellow or clear. I really enjoy your honest reviews and your taste in beauty products!
Nearly 60, with far from great skin (pores, lots of fine lines, uneven tone, red cheeks and nose…) and I love my red Tirtir cushion foundation. My old fav EL Double Wear was no longer working well for me and looked aging, but I am thrilled with the finish of the Tirtir. Also, it takes moments to apply compared with the time I spend on other foundations.
Thank you for this video! Some of the products have been on my wishlist for so long.
I also agree about the packaging of the mini huda beauty easy blur powder.
Thank you for your comments! Yes! Agreed! The puff is annoying when you want to tip the powder on a lid and use a brush 🙃
Love Glow Recioe Niacinamide Dew Drops because the others you mentioned break me out
..dew drops have no oil or silicones or squalene i dknt think so my skin loves it and makes foundation go on so well on very sry skin. But im a difficult case lol❤❤🎉
i have normal skin and use Dior backstage foundation , honestly its best foundation i had so far , even mac foundations and huda beauty cant match the " natural " skin it give . i honestly think dior backstage is worth the hype
I love that it works for you! You must let me know what you like to use as toner, spf and moisturizer underneath it! ❤️
what is your lip combo? it's so nice and glossy
Hi! I’m wearing a Maybelline Liner in Line Leader and the Ole Henriksen lip gloss in strawberry sorbet over the top 💕
Love and agree with all your reviews! And appreciate how well organized you are with time stamps.
I would love to know your shade choices in products from videos. Because I’m shade twins w you! For example I love Dior stick but wish there is a .5N!

@ you’re the best!!! Looking forward to new videos! Just found your channel. The content w your tutorial from 小紅書 & 抖音 is super fun! Xx
I am using the Relief Joseon SPF 50+ and apply Dior foundation with a brush, works great
You convinced me, I'm suscribed. You reviewed everything accurately and we seem to have a similar skin type! I already love you❤
IM GLAD i watched this before buying tirtirrrrr !! thanks for deinfluenced me with ur opinion!
The Charlotte Tilbury flawless foundation caused my sister to have breakouts, gave my other sister an allergic reaction, and made my skin tingle and burn a bit(I have no allergies and barely have negative skin reactions)
You should try Fwee lip products. I am a make-up enthusiasts and have got so many lip products from luxury to roadshop brand, and I absolutely love their lip products from matt to glossy.
if you have the problem with the brow gels you should try the nyx brow glue it literally holds my brows like if I would put glue in them. Once I forgot to remove my makeup from the day before(I did my make up at 5pm) and when I woke up the brow gel was still there
I actually love your rating methods!
omg i rly like the glow recipe serum tho 😭
I love that product!
I love that it works for you! And it does do the job for so many other people too! 🫶 I just prefer the Fig 1’s delivery method and vehicle for my niacinamide 🤭 and I like how they have refillable containers too
Idk if you’ve talked about this since TH-cam just recommended me your channel, but could you make a video about your hair care and body skincare routine? I also have eczema and am always on the lookout for recommendations. Especially for haircare because I’m always torn between having nice-smelling hair and not having flareups on my hands lol.
Omg love this type of content thank you babe ❣️
Maybe I haven’t tried enough products to find better options but 7 minutes in and the last category has my holy grails 😂
Mature skin here, I love the glow recipe serum. It keeps my skin hydrated and its great before makeup.
Yeah straight off the bat, I disagreed with the first two assessments already because the Glow recipe does wonders for my skin (so not a “Liar” in my case) and she likes Embryolisse which to me is greasy and breaks me out-so our skin is verrrry different 😅.
This blouse is adorable!! Where is it from?
I would literally trust you with my life this is everythinggg
Love your tier categories 😊
Thank you!
What colors are in your Mac quad? Loved the video :)
they are Brule, Omega, Charcoal Brown and Brun! Brule as a matte highlight, Omega for the crease, Charcoal brown to deepen the the lash line and crease and Brun as eyeliner 💕
i subscribe bcause we have the same foundation shade! so whenever i need a new foundation and the shade ill just look at your youtube 😂😂😂 THANKYOU❤
You solidified my opinion on a lot of these! Thank you! Also what are the shadow shades in your Mac palette?
❤️ they are Brule, Omega, Charcoal Brown and Brun! Brule as a matte highlight, Omega for the crease, Charcoal brown to deepen the lash line and Brun for eyeliner
@@lynjiangi love omega as a face/nose contour
love this video!! thx for being real!! new subbbb 🩷
The rare beauty highlighter was a fail for me because its just so delicate. The pan smashed on its first go in my makeup travel bag, not even a bumpy journey and the lid was closed 🥲
i loved this video! have to ask tho, what shade do you use in the Huda beauty powder?
thanks you! its in pound cake ❤️
I’m 💯 with you on the Dior face and body!!! SPF is numero uno! The Black Honey lip gloss is where it’s at!
Love the dior body and face foundation. Use it after skincare and sunscreen as well. And apply with a cushion puff. As with any foundation its important your skincare/spf is the same base as the foundation. Dior is silicone and water based so skincare/spf should be too or it will split and pill like you showed. Cant use oil based products with this foundation
Personally love the glow receipe dew drops, dont really use it for the glowy complexion, but doesnt feel oily on my combination skin and gives it a nice complexion, great for under makeup as well
Dior Backstage, is the best. I have huge pores and acne prone skin. I use this product on top of multiple toners + think oil from la mer, rich ream from la mer and also ultra violette hydrating facial sunscreen spf 50 (i put a lot)!
💯 Glow recipe is just a hype I’ve tested a lot of products for my pale dry skin and this was of no benefit at all. Thank-you so much totally agree. Paula’s Choice is also holy grail for me. Did not like Laneige lip balm at all. Appreciate your honesty ❤
Somethings up with your black honey…. Mine is quite soft, smooth, moisturising and glossy, yours kinda clumped on your hand! 😭
Definitely recommend for you to try the Yummy Skin serum skin tint by Danessa Myricks. I love how it wears on nose area because it's nice to my pores and dry patches. I also recommend the Hello Sunshine invisible sunscreen by IT Cosmetics as it is formulated to be a primer as well! Hydrating too. No pilling, no white cast! For a powder blush def check out Haus Labs. I only chose one colour because it's more $$ but omg... there's something very different about this blush. Their new formulations leaning into skin friendly ingredients. It's so easy to use and it just wears and feels nice!
Great list - this helped me a lot as a no-fuss beauty person that was curious about a lot of these products!
Thank you for leaving this comment! 😍Thank you for being specific about pores and dry patches! I love trying out your recommendations because they are so good. Haus Labs isn’t in Sephora in Australia yet but I’m so keen to try it. I can’t wait to get Yummy Skin and Hello Sunshine now!
@lynjiang yay! I keep finding myself repurchasing Yummy Skin because when I try other new foundations nothing works better in that area than their formula haha. So sometimes, I just use it on my nose and use the newer foundation on the rest of my face 😆
I'm pleased to have come across your content and appreciate your insights 🤗
I’m surprised by the mufe lip liner. They are super long lasting for me ! And the space cowboy eyeshadow, it has a color to it (for my skin tone) and last all day too 😅 but I don’t live in a hot and humid country like Australia . Relatively normal in humidity and definitely super dry in winter.
I purchased tirtir in a cool undertone and it actually oxidized orange..
You’re definitely not the only one! 🥲
I’ve tried some of these products and totally agree. I have similar skin type as you. I also swatched space cowboy at the store and wasn’t impressed so didn’t buy it! 😅
You’re much more logical than me! I swatched it, wasn’t impressed and still bought it 😂 ❤️
Honestly my favorite eye shadow that last for more then 12 hours that give me the glimmer effect would be Tom ford baked eyeshadows / the pat McGrath eyeshadows on my very oily lids
yes agreed the rare beauty highlighter is better than the dior glow palette
Really liked your video. Great products to review, and good explanations. Thanks!
Thank you! ❤️
Totally agree about ABH brow gel. It just never works for me. Takes forever to dry yet doesn’t hold! What a waste.
Really helpful and informative video- I’ve subscribed! 🌺 Karen
Thank you!!
I think the Dior Face and Body was better b/f it was reformulated; however, you cannot use a sponge with a foundation like that. It was intended to be applied with fingers or a brush.
Products that are designed to touch the skin are usually high in preservatives and incis that prevent growth of microorganisms. It's always a good idea to sanatise after use, so use an alcolhol spray on it an let it sit for 1min bevor drying it. This might reduce wasting product.
What shade do you use for hour glass
Shade 3 🤍
I appreciate this.
NARS concealer is GREAT! OMG f*cking amazing! (I have combined/oily skin)
Where can i buy your white shirt in the video?
It’s from an Australian designer called Alice McCall, but her label went into administration around 2020. It was a label similar to Zimmermann but slightly cheaper. She collaborates with SHEIN now
@@lynjiang Thanks so much!
Hi Lyn. Lovely to see you. I agree with you on almost all points. Personally I don't like the Huda powder because of the scent. I prefer the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores powder (loose or compact). It controls oils like no other. I'm so glad you like the PC BHA liquid. Isn't it just the best toner ever? After another month or so, you'll notice a huge difference in your skin, oil and pores. Have you ever tried the Redken Acidic Bonding hair care range? It's AMAZING for long hair. I switched from Pureology to Redken after it was recommended by Michelle at Lab Muffin Science. My hair has never looked or felt so healthy, soft, tangle free and shiny. I LOVE it so much.
How was the big day? I bet you looked beautiful. Will we have the pleasure of seeing a photo or two of the blushing bride?
PS - did you consider trying the Hourglass vanish primer? I think you can get a sample before buying full size. It really is the best at controlling oil.
Hope to see you again soon. Happy new year. Anna x
PPS - If you ever fancy trying a powder foundation other than MAC studio fix, I recently tried the Jane Iredale compact foundation and it's stunning. It's light to medium buildable coverage and it looks like fresh, glowing skin, especially with a spritz of setting spray. I've tried hundreds in my time, but nothing has ever looked this good. It's a mineral powder too so it's great for sensitive skin and has SPF.
Hi Anna! Always good to hear from you ☺️Okay! I have to add It Cosmetics Bye Bye pores, Redken Acidic Bonding hair products and the Jane Iredale foundation onto my shopping list. I love Lab Muffin Science! Your recommendations haven’t failed me. Thank you for recommending the Paula’s Choice toner! I can’t wait to see the long term results. Wedding day is less than 4 weeks away and yes I would love to make another wedding related video. I’m yet to get a sample of the hourglass primer. I’ll do that when I head to Mecca! Happy new year Anna! 🥰
If you liked the color of the Black honey lip stick I recommend you try the lip gloss version. I think it is a lot better formula!
I need to try it! Hope it’s not sticky? ☺️
@lynjiang It is stickier than for example Clarins lip oils, but it also stays on a lot longer, which is nice since the color is so pretty.😊
Really loved this video!
Dior has so many beautiful foundations, but the backstage is not good at all. I don't know why it's so hyped. I agree with laneige sleep mask. I use it for a day time too. When it comes to eyeshadows I can't use any of them without a primer because of how oily my eyelids are. Primer is a must for me. I use MAC Prep+Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base. Life changer. I have the same ND palette, it's beautiful 🎀
Thank you for leaving such a detailed comment! Yes the Mac Prep and Prime is so good! I love reading how products work on others! 🤍
I’m obsessed with your top 😍
🫶
Can you rank skin care products too?
Ole Henriksen is the best lip treatment!
what shade is the rare beauty highlighter?

I agree with most of your rankings. I love your top! Where did you get it from?
Awesome! It’s from an Australian designer called Alice McCall, but her label went into administration around 2020. It was a label similar to Zimmermann but slightly cheaper. She collaborates with SHEIN now
Space cowboy from UD has been around since forever. We can let it go no worries!
I was also disappointed with Clinique black honey
Love this concept..thank you
Happy 2025🎉🎉! I hated the dew drops, did nothing for me lol😂😂But love the Tirtir cushion, need to use a light hand since it is so pigmented💕💕💕
Happy 2025 to you too! Thanks for the tip! I need to practice more with cushion foundation 😅
I've tried L'Oréal Glycolic Gloss Lamination, and honestly, I didn't understand the hype. I have porous and slightly dry hair, and the only effect I got was softer hair, but no gloss at all. Has anyone had a similar problem?
Love this!
Thank you for emphasizing the importance of SPF. I explode every time I watch a "skin prep" before makeup video, and they don't use SPF (Probably because it 'ruins' the foundation)...
There IS a Black Honey gloss. You should look it up.
Thank you for your comments! I totally feel the same way on skin prep. I’ve had comments on other videos where people say spf ruins the foundation 🫠 but sunscreen is so important to me
Brow gel = 24h brow setter from benefit ❤
I don’t understand why she barely showed the ones she recommends the most lol
lol right !! barely even held up half of them LMAO
Thank you for stepping up tell the truth about these protests .🙏🙏🙏
Need a list of the holy grail products
Your blouse is stunning
Thank you! ☺️
Off topic you're so beautiful!
The dew drops actually looked greasy on me and broke me out! :(
Very good video and well presented.
I have to disagree with you on placing the Nyx Fat Oil lip gloss in the LIAR category. You should have made clear what the lie was. That category should be reserved for makeup that makes a claim that is false.
Niacinamide I heard a dermatologist say it was made from fat from meat, a cheap indredient that is the waist of those meat industrial factories. That they find a way to profit from that too.
Glow recipe is cruelty free but not vegan
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is a naturally derived from nicotinic acid (Niacin), which is present in brewer’s yeast and many cereals. It also is synthesized in a laboratory through a chemical process that you can look up online. It is also an essential nutrient for our body, it can be found in meat, fish, eggs, green vegetables, and cereals in our diets. I would ask your doctor for a source of his information. I bet he’s selling products and wants you to buy them. 🙄
I am surprised by your low ranking of the Glow Recipe dew drops, I found it really really helped my skin and the niacinamide in it prevented my hormonal acne around my chin from getting worse than it usually is. It truly transformed my skin after consistent use. I guess not every product works for everyone.
the dior blush pink lilac is so pigmented on me TT
Girl you need to switched to a Korean or a Japanese sunscreen that look like white caste and quite cakey if sunscreen can be cakey aka white caste it will change your world
Which one do you recommend? 😊 I’ve actually tried a few over the years. Some I bought in Korea and Japan and some I got gifted in PR from YesStyle.
These are some I've tested:
APLB glutathione one is good, moisturising, I carry it in my work bag.
Axis-Y physical sunscreen was terrible. Left me with a really white cast.
Biore UV aqua pilled under my makeup.
Beauty of Joseon one is nice, haven’t finished the tube yet, so don’t want to give a final review.
Beauty of Joseon Stick was okay.
HaruHaru wonder black bamboo is my fav stick foundation so far. Hydrating.
Kose Cosmepoet UV Spray was decent on the body.
Missha soft finish wasn’t moisturising enough for me.
Rohto Skin Aqua gold version wasn’t too bad! I like how it comes in 140 gram pump so it’s good on the body too.
Round Lab Stick was bit drying for me
@@lynjiang My personal favorite is Sun Project by the brand Thank you farmer. It's one of those sunscreens that sits on top of your skin but doesn’t leave any white cast and gives a slightly glowy finish. For my sensitive dry skin it feels great and hasn't caused any kind of breakout so i'm very happy with it!
@@lynjiang Skin1004 Hyalu-cica water-fit sun serum or isntree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel!
the canmake mermaid skin UV gel is my absolute holy grail bc it’s designed to be a makeup primer that is also a sunscreen with spf 50 PA ++++ it’s so beautiful and makes my makeup better
Girl if you're getting your cushion foundation all over the place and wasting product, you're using it wrong. It looks like you're pushing it into the cushion way too hard and applying too much. When it starts to get dry you can just flip the cushion over and there is all the rest of the product. I only replace my cushions when it's been a year, just because I don't want to be using old product. This is my preferred foundation type because I travel so much it's just easy to apply quickly on an airplane or whatever without getting product on my fingers
girl really think a year is old 😭 do you even hear yourself
@@charlie8945 Foundations have expiration dates (about 2 years for Tirtir) and I think I can afford $20/year on foundation.
I agree with you, the tirtir is one of the best foundations Ive used. She has pressed waaaay too hard into the cushion for it to do that.
@@earthcitty yeah, the long wearing capability is really incredible. I don't have time/energy to touch up most of the time and it's still intact after all day meetings and even after snorkeling in the ocean. You just have to apply it a certain way for it to not separate or look cakey, there are plenty of videos on this. Cushion foundations in general (not just Tirtir) aren't to be applied like regular liquid foundation. You want to blot the pad on the lid until it looks like there is no product on it and press it into your skin.
My only gripe with it is that it oxidizes but that happens with long wearing foundations in general.
Also to clarify I do have plenty of product left after a year, I just don't feel good continuing to use it at that point especially after repeatedly exposing it to air and bacteria for that long. I stock up in Japan when I can, but it's still only $25 on Amazon.
Thanks for your tips! I followed a Chinese douyin tutorial video when I used it, you can find it on my channel. Let me know what you think of her techniques ☺️ Flipping over the cushion is a great tip! Thank you! I’m glad it works well for you
I LOVE the niacinimide dew drops and my skin loves it! To be fair, the Anua pink niacinamide serum is a very comparable maybe even slightly better alternative but because that was your first ranking it made it hard for me to trust the rest of your ranks :(
I love that it works for you! And it does do the job for so many other people too! 🥰 I just prefer the Fig 1's delivery method and vehicle for my niacinamide and I like how Fig 1 has refillable containers ✨
Really? Natasha Denona doesn't stay on my oily eyelids. Honestly, I can't really wear most shimmers, they melt off.
the dior blush looks non-existent.
Yeah it’s definitely not pigmented. Especially when it hard pans and you have to scrape off the excess to get to the colour again 😭
