The west was the most dominant conference for years even back then because they had many of the better teams. Do some research. The west just couldn't deal with that shaq and kobe duo. Yes the kobe and gasol lakers was well built but that shaq and kobe lakers also had fisher and solid role players. Most of those players was already on the team when kobe came into the league don't forget he didn't start right away
